This dream brings up a truth that can be applied to many aspects of our lives, in the sense of how do we bring things from chaos into cohesion? One of the most powerful ways is to align to a unifying principle, whether we’re speaking of a project, a company, an individual life, a relationship, a country, or a species. Without such a reference point, every day a new importance can arise and create a huge detour from the original goal. With a unifying principle, decisions can be made against it so that every choice brings us closer and closer to our aims. Jeane: Well my dream last night was somewhat odd. It’s like I lived in a society that must have had some kind of a breakdown, because it’s like when I left the main compound where everybody lived – and I was in a relationship with you there, but you looked kind of like Harrison Ford.
I had left there and it felt like when I went out into society, and I went into town, it almost felt like I got captured and people had become almost like vampires, because it felt like they would hunt in gangs, and tear people apart, and it was all bloody. And they kind of kept me captured to be part of that, so I was always looking for a way to escape.
Finally one day I locked some of them in a room and I managed to get out, and they were trying to come after me but I managed to get back to the original community. And in the original community, somehow the breakdown had been… it seems like you were in charge of the original community, and somehow the breakdown had been stopped and that was represented by everybody kind of had silver fingernails.
But things were a little tenuous, and I was looking at how things were done differently now. Instead of a regular banking system, or taxing system, we had some system where everyone was called upon to put a certain amount, it varied I think by person, into a central bank and they were in someway part of the bank then.
And then there were also ways that things were given away now and then, and there were celebrations in town. And I was going to one celebration, and it’s almost like a bunch of adolescent kids without any clothes were getting into some kind of a wrestling match and some of the boys had sent one other boy to do something that they told him the girls would like and, of course, it had the opposite effect, and they were all joking or teasing him and that was a little crude but it was also like in good fun.
And I’m also looking around at other things. It’s like I haven’t tried to get back together with you yet. It’s almost like people want to keep us a little separate because I’m not sure if they’re concerned about change or something, and I’ve gone back to the area where I live. They’re kind of like these whitewashed huts, and it was where I’d lived before, too, and some people come to me and I guess I had been a nurse.
We all seem to be wearing blue and white, and I still had some supplies from before the breakdown and so I sell somebody some supplies that I know how to administer. And someone’s asking me about that, and I’d say the supplies are limited and they do have a value. It’s not like I wouldn’t help somebody if they really needed it, but it’s something I’m able to do, and it makes them more valued in a way, too.
And then it feels like I go somewhere where I meet you. I notice people are a little nervous about our getting together again, but we’re just kind of walking together. I think that’s when the dream ends.
John: So your original image is almost like a type of cannibalization. And you’re trying to come back from this cannibalization and create a balance in which things could exist again. And your perception of that is that you have to come back to a wholeness in which there is something central from which everything derives. And you call that like a central banking system.
The masculine is an image that goes to something that brings things down through for the benefit of creation, so in that sense it’s an access point to an inner wholeness; you’re finding manifestation in and of itself is kind of vampirish. The way it’s going it’s tearing itself to shreds, and you’re just trying to go back to something that is before all of this started, and there you find they still show the remnants of something that may have been cannibalizing, but it’s now like silver fingernails. In other words, they’ve learned to hold it, or to be content with that.
But in terms of going all the way back like you did, you had to find something that could pull everything back into a wholeness. You had to find some common thread to focus around, and that was the one central bank. So it means that if everyone supports the whole, the whole is bigger than some of its parts, and that everyone contributed.
So, in a sense what you’re doing is you’re taking the existing condition, in terms of how life is, and you’re looking at a new way that it could be made workable – because what currently exists has a tendency to go off and cannibalize, or tear itself to shreds. And so in the new way that it needs to be, everyone needs to come together and contribute equally into something that has a centralized basis upon which it relies, or stems, and give up this whole way of clawing out to try to reach something that is exclusive to them.
In other words, that’s the wrong approach. Instead, the approach is to come together in terms of what serves the greater interest of everyone involved, and do so under a common thread. And, in doing so, you bring about a state in which not only can everything prosper, but more and more can be given because there isn’t the need to fend from something that’s doing and causing a pariah-like condition to predominate. Because when the pariah-like condition predominates, eventually everything gets torn to shreds. It’s an interesting resolution, isn’t it?
It makes one wonder if it’s possible that there could ever be such a thing, and can it work, or what would it take for that to work? In other words, you’re dreaming it as if it’s a solution for the outer, but as a solution for the inner it would be the going back, or coming back, to an essence that follows a reference focus that is in keeping with you and all of the parts of yourself are able to be at home in the outer.
And this is possible if you can awaken and open up to that quality that permeates through everything that exists in support of the whole, and you are able to take all parts of yourself, that normally fly this way and that way, and bring it into that same cohesion. And even though those parts of yourself have this tendency of wanting to go askew, that in letting go of that, in other words going into the depths of yourself to where you have taken this part that reaches and tears things apart and strikes out, you have withdrawn the fangs so to speak. You still have the claws, but you don’t go tangential with them as you hold onto a reference point inside of yourself that brings you back into a wholeness.
And when in a wholeness like that, and able to sustain and maintain yourself in this kind of cohesion, you are able to grow and prosper and continue to unfold in accordance with this as your connection, as your thread back to that which is all pervading from within.
So that’s a way of looking at it too, right? That’s probably the realistic way. To expect the outer to be able to change is not likely.
