We find ourselves born on a planet in space and, the way things have unfolded here, we are basically trained to put all our life’s effort into planetary pursuits: family, career, fun. But none of those are the reason we are here, which is to come into the physical realms and connect ourselves back to the energetic realms. That way creation has a it’s own connection and communication device – us – that reaches into the physical world for its purposes. Jeane: My dreams were very hard to pull out, and they seem to overlap with each other as well.
In one of the dreams that I remember, I almost feel more like an observer, but the person that I’m observing is a man who runs this rail line, and it’s actually an extension of the main rail line. And it’s in a country where the rail could easily get overtaken by water if it’s not maintained right.
And somewhere in the background of this dream, too, are two young boys, almost like babies or something, that are being taken care of, but in kind of a hidden way. And then further down the rail line, at the main station, there’s a woman supervisor that runs that main station, and the man I’m always observing is doing a good job of maintaining the rail line that’s back in the little more vulnerable country, you know, where you could even be flooded and things.
And then the female supervisor invites him one day to go on an outing, but he becomes aware in the back of his mind, as he’s accompanying her on this outing, that it’s possible she’s considering letting that rail line go and the water take it over. So he has to do something to try to strengthen it so that doesn’t happen.
Whatever he’s doing has something to do with those children that he watches over, too, and how he keeps a focus and attention with coming back to the rail line. That’s the best I could describe that dream.
John: That’s a nice, interesting bizarre dreaming, that was along the motif of how I’m dreaming as well, that would make absolutely no sense to anybody in our dream group because it is designed, like I was saying earlier, to put one into a particular kind of a state, or way of being, in terms of how they see themselves, or carry themselves, or conduct themselves.
As opposed to a specific kind of identity that, in other words, it’s like you have a rail line or, you might say, a way of being in life in the outer, and you know that there is kind of in a sense or schematic of yourself that this is not something to strictly identify with. Some part of you knows that it all can go, poof, could be flooded.
The part of you that knows that all of that can be obliterated is a part of you that knows that it has been maintaining a role in manifestation, for the sake of manifestation, but it also realizes that, in doing that, it tends to make things difficult for a certain kind of inner clarity to come through, because it is upholding something in a quality of a density.
And so you’re presented with this paradox of where you have a sense of something more that’s important, and you also have a sense of the importance of the rail line, and you have a sense that it wouldn’t take much to flood it, or to change the course of how things are; in other words, obliterate it, so to speak. And it’s a tough call, actually, in one way of looking at it, because you’re also aware that this somewhat corresponds to an innerness that is sitting there almost coming out of this, derivatively speaking. When that other goes away, this other is there.
So what is the answer? You can’t choose one or the other. You can’t defend one or the other. So, it is basically an image of doing something that, in terms of language, in terms of what the language is about, seems absurd, and that is a type of dying before you die. In other words, if you go around and you just sustain and maintain the rail line, you’re still holding onto existence.
If you allow that rail line to be maintained, but technically be in the essence of your being to catch up with something more, it is obliterated or flooded – meaning that it has no effect or importance in terms of its hold upon you anymore – then you’re somewhere else. That’s what it means to die before you die.
In other words, it’s like you’re able to be in existence, but not in existence from the standpoint in which you have committed yourself in such a way so that that is all you’re able to see as some density and, therefore, a part inside of you, the depths inside of you, is blurred out so that you can’t catch up with it.
So this is like a type of crazy talk, that there is a way of having both. It’s kind of a type of crazy talk, because you have this rail line, and a part of you recognizes that it’s important in its way, but in maintaining that you jeopardize, because your focus and attention gets wayward, you compromise. You ground yourself and you root yourself, in terms of the senses, in such a way so that the perception on an inner/inner level of that which is outside of time and space can’t quite be reached.
Yet you can’t ignore or obliterate that and reach the transcendent either, in and of itself kind of thing, so you have to somehow or another be in, because you’re in manifestation, you have to be able to be in both places. You have to stay in manifestation, but at the same time be in this whole other place or space.
Well, what you’re talking about, technically speaking, sounds impossible, because who does such a thing? How can that be? This is a dream that kind of is apt to leave one in kind of a nauseated state because there’s a bewilderment there yet.
