There are many ways to travel in a dream, and often the troubles that are encountered in the journey are portraying the state of the dreamer. In this dream, the form of travel has gone beyond any type of vehicle and just become an energetic shape – telling us that there is a rare ease of movement and ability to cover great distances. Said another way, that describes being in a flow. Yet there is still a repetition going on with the dream imagery, so aspects are still being worked out to allow further progression. Jeane: Well I had two dreams last night and I felt like the dreams kept repeating. The first dream, which I wish I remembered more of, it’s like I’ve gone to the Middle East. And when I say I’ve gone there, it’s almost like I go there in a shape that’s like broad at one end and narrows, and then widens out again, and has sharp edges – but that seems to be how I travel in some kind of shape like that. Or form, you know, it’s the form of the travel.
It’s a shape almost like if you were to draw it it’s angular and it’s broad at this end, and then, you know, it narrows down, and then it widens out again and then cuts off sharply. It’s just the way that one got from here to there; that’s all I could say.
I was going to the Middle East and I know I was trying to work with something there, but I can’t remember any details in that dream. I just know I dreamt it several times, and I would remember the form of traveling there. I mean like the geometric form, more than I remembered what was going on there.
John: So your traveling wasn’t by way of anything in particular, it was like visualized energy lines, or something. And yet you kept looking at it and looking at it, and doing the same kind of traveling over and over again.
Well, the theme of the dreaming was this idea, that when you quit indulging you kind of fall into a natural flow. And it’s almost as if everything in that natural flow knows what it knows about you, even though you don’t know anything about yourself.
And yet, because you’re in the natural flow, you’re naturally swept along and it’s taken for granted that you’ve realized something even though you can look at yourself and say you haven’t realized anything, but the natural flow puts you a bit on a kind of pedestal – as if you have gotten further along than you realize that you have.
And in your particular case, rather than it having to contend with anything in particular, you’re finding that you have a means of contending with something in terms of a greater overall. And your surprise is that you can take on this context, and so to do that, of course, you have to have a grasp of a greater space because you can’t be taking and looking at things just in terms of how they appear, and are, in a physical sense-oriented world.
So being here you suddenly see that you have the ability already to do a certain degree of traveling amongst the stars of things, the objects of things, the mountains and all of that that are here. You have the ability to travel freely back and forth amidst all of that. And that’s what you’re looking at now is, how you’re able to spread yourself out into this overallness mannerism. And you keep looking at yourself doing this sort of thing over and over and over again, yet where it’s going and what it’s about is, at this point, not coming into focus because you’re kind of amazed by how it is that you just naturally take and contend with this greater overallness of things.
