On many subtle levels we cave in to the wishes of the collective during our lifetime, whether that is due to morals, or current tastes, or trends, for fear of the reaction. So to avoid the reaction, we decide not to do whatever it is we had in mind. That’s one thing in relation to the people and places we live, but it’s very different when it comes to our life possibility in connection with the universe. We must let go of much of what the collective deems important, or we won’t be able to make our journey. Again, that doesn’t mean moving to a mountaintop, but it does mean changing our fundamental relationship with the things around us. Jeane: I didn’t pull much specifically out of my dreams. It few days ago I’d watched a program on TV about some people in a law office that are breaking off and going out and starting their own firm. And the original partners don’t want them to, so there’s this fight for resources, or clients, or all the things you have to do when you’re setting up your own office.
And it felt like I was just dreaming about that; I was just observing what happens. I was observing all the opposition to this, and what they were trying to do to start up, and that’s all I really remember as I was trying to watch that whole process, both the opposition to it, and then what they do to get around that, or sometimes don’t do to get around that. That’s all I remember about the dreaming. It just seemed kind of discombobulated.
John: The theme of the dreaming last night had to do with what one goes through to come to know who it is that they really are or, in other words, to get closer to what is real.
And, in your particular case, what your dream is doing is it is showing that you need to, and are, breaking free of a kind of collective, overall entrapment. And to do that, and to be breaking free, has impacts that… well, it’s just how it is. In other words, you can’t go along with the status quo when you have reached a point where you have to come into your own.
And so, to come into your own, it’s going to have an impact upon your established surroundings, in terms of how it is that you’re seen by others in what is considered to be an established environment. And that’s an environment that’s established in the eyes of the collective, but it is not the kind of place that is meaningful for you. It is something that you have to break free from.
And so you’re gauging that in your dream. You’re looking at what all of that is going to be like. In other words, you’re looking at it from the standpoint of the vibration of what it’s going to take to jar yourself out of a kind of prevailing overall stupor, or spell, so to speak, that you’re under in terms of the collective outerness.
So it’s in keeping with the theme of the dreaming in terms of the theme last night being one of catching up with more of who it is that a person really is. In other words, they’re not the appearances, and they’re not the reflections in the outer, that there is something more, and that one has to drop this other in order to catch up with this something more.
And, in doing so, you have to do this consciously, not unconsciously. You have to consciously take note of what it is that is unfolding, and what it is that you’re doing, and how it is that you’re affecting things.
