A Different Role

65ggesWhy are we drawn to those who excel at what they do, whether as an athlete, or a business person, or as a creative person? Part of it is because of what they exude, the presence they have from having achieved what they did. We always want to be our best in their presence, and we known, deep down, that some of that “magic” can transfer to us if we are near them enough. This is the true nature of being a teacher, or an elder, to radiate our own development onto others – which makes more possible for them. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

John: This compares to my sleep dream, in that in the sleep dream I seem to be in a place, or shall I say an environment, in which around me, surrounding me, are some very youthful, significant people that are just naturally this way, very athletic, very gifted and unassuming in their nature about that.

In other words it’s like they just are what they are. And that is the atmosphere. And amidst that atmosphere there is me that is kind of like off to one side, kind of like the old timer in that scenario, or setting, that no one pays too much attention to. I’m harmless.

And so it’s like we’re outside of what could be a castle or a place and, suddenly, there’s this court yard that is a volleyball court yard. And there are the locals that decide to play the game. And I go, hey, this is kind of nice. I kind of like volleyball, and there it is.

And as soon as they play the first game, it’s almost like it’s time for new players, new blood, to come into the game. So from the midst of where I am present steps forward these guys they just, it’s almost like, I don’t know that they even talked amongst themselves as to whether they wanted to play the game, so I’m kind of surprised. They just move on to the court, and I find myself moving on to the court, too.

Well, I realize that we’re the dream team, meaning I might be the old geezer in the batch, and one of them says, so you want to play, too? And I just kind of nod; they’re kind of surprised because these guys are incredible. And I realize that whatever team’s on the other side just doesn’t have a chance.

And I may be the weakest one because I’m the old geezer, but I figure that around these I’ll rise to the game, perhaps. I don’t know that for sure. My days of lore are long gone. So I move into the center, and the center’s along the front line – and that’s the person who sets. And I think: perfect position for me because I can handle that easily.

And suddenly, behind me, I feel the presence of this huge, almost giant, kind of guy. So big he shadows over me. And I’m standing there, he, from behind me goes, I’m the center. And I ignore the first comment. And then, it’s almost like in a bear hug, he towers over me to such degree and almost snarls in his own little way and says: I’m the center.

And I realize, this is his undeniable mannerism. So I say, no problem, and I step off the court. But I know what’s going to happen. In other words, the dream team was in place. And he’s the only one, from what had been kind of a pickup team that had been playing there before, he’s the only one to project himself upon the scene yet.

So, when I go off, I realize that what we’re talking about is an aspect of time. And in a week, you have seven days, and you have six players on a side. So if time is measured by a week, you have six active – and I’m no longer meant, and need, to be active. I have actually paid my dues from ages ago, so that there is a flow that can come through – no matter how dormant and quiet.

In other words, they are still at a different stage of evolution where there is still a kind of activity that is needed. And I’m at a stage where everything is dormant and quiet. And so I step back from that, and, in stepping back from that, I actually carry and hold, in the quietude, that which ensues.

As the quietude, as the silence, that’s what makes what needs to happen, happen. But it can only be that way if one can truly invisible-ize themselves, if one can truly take themselves out of the equation. Not have to have some ego, because if you inject something like that, then it tears something down. It confuses what is able to take place.

There comes a point in time, when you reach a certain threshold, and you’re then meant to go through that threshold and everything is a little different. Maybe prior to that you had to play the role of being this, that, or the other, but now you’re able to effuse the role from a position of presence – out of everything that is going on in the outer as a reflective – that is all being shaped and designed from a stillness.

And you’re meant to shift into the stillness, and you’re not going to be able to be effective in your shift into the stillness, in terms of being able to absorb and handle everything that is going on, in the outer, reflectively. You’re not going to be able to do that if you still have some issue that has yet to be dealt with, or contended with, in your opinion, which means you have to truly, truly let go to be the stillness, And then, when you’re the stillness, then the stimulation that comes up from everything about and around you, that catalytic reflective comes from out of this deeper stillness.

That is why a teacher doesn’t go out and try to do things outwardly. The teacher, instead, if you were to look closely, hands out everything so that others who are still having to live something out, or are still in more of the reflective and haven’t let go of that, so they, then, can do that. And as they become more conscious and aware, they, too, realize that the true role is one of stillness yet, a greater stillness for themselves, just like what the teacher embodied and passed out.

So they, too, pass that on. Thus, that’s how something unfolds in terms of a streamlining within the tariqa of things. So there comes a point in time when you’re able to step out of that and become something, maybe not even an observer anymore, you can have that kind of stillness. Maybe an observer, to a degree, but even that dissipates and dissipates as what you hold on to as a presence is the true epicenter of everything.

Everyone observes the activity of the game that’s afoot, and no one realizes, or recognizes, or notices, that there is something behind all of that which predominates – but it predominates from the standpoint of stillness.

Inner Presence

cleanagesWe don’t always appreciate the different levels to the things we engage in on a daily basis. And by levels, we’re speaking of energetic elevations. For example, we may clean our house because it’s dirty. We may clean our house because it’s one of the chores that needs to be done. We may clean our house because we are trying to make a nice environment for our family. Or we may clean our house because we understand that the universe is always seeking refinement, rather than devolution, and we want to emulate that in the way we live. Each of these reasons will have different energetic connections, from different elevations. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

Jeane: So, in the dream, I’m like the queen, I’m kind of assaulted by some people that are trying to take over the throne. And it’s afterwards, and we’re trying to hunt those people. And sometimes it feels like I’m the queen, or sometimes I’m a male royal, and I just seem to switch sometimes between one and the other.

And I seem to be in a little village where we go sometimes. And, as people come there, they don’t know that I’m the queen, or I’m a royal, and I entertain them just in a fairly simple cottage because this is like a retreat center, or a little place in the country everybody goes to.

And so then when people come there, and I began to identify the ones that are trying to kill the royals, then I invite them back to the house feeling like I can kind of trap them because they’ll come they’re thinking they’re just coming for a meal with someone who’s pretty simple – but then I can capture them. So I just have to wait for them to show up, and not clue them in ahead of time, who I really am, while I identify which ones are the ones that were plotting against the crown. So that was the whole dream.

John: The dream has a very unusual theme that I’m sure you didn’t notice, in that the dream has you going from one position to another. And the position you’re going from is from an outer appearance to an inner presence. In other words, you’re making yourself invisible for the purposes of being able to cause an effect that is able to happen in the outer.

This is describing a stage of conscious evolution. In other words, there is a point in one’s time where the Dharma of one’s nature, in terms of what’s meant to be, and how one is to appear, and how they’re placed in terms of conducting themselves in the outer, there is a point in time when all of that is front and center.

And then there comes a point in time when that needs to step back in order for something more to unfold. And that stepping back is a type of going into the inner, or invisible-izing yourself in terms of the loudness that you would have that is noticeable, and, therefore, would be drawing issues in the reflective outer.

And so, by taking and stepping back, you’re able to look at the situation more for what is able to, and meant to, unfold. Now the thing that’s wrong in that dream is that you don’t really step back into the full stillness because what you’re doing has an ulterior motive, in that you’re looking to avenge what took place.

The higher conscious approach of even that is just be able to step back into the total stillness in such a way so that, for all intents and purposes, you appear to be insipid, you appear to be completely no longer an aspect of history. And yet, this is not also what it appears; just because it’s not reflective anymore doesn’t mean that it is c’est la vie.  Instead, it is in a quietness, or a stillness, that is within a space that has the ability to effectuate, and to penetrate, and to go into and to contend with all that there is that is going on – and to do it without fanfare. I mean, that’s the higher octave, even though what you’re doing is a step that still has kind of a quiet, ulterior motive.

A Certain Momentum

im21aSometimes it feels like something has already shifted, yet the change of what that is isn’t readily available to us. We could be in such a situation now, where change has become energetically inevitable, but what it will manifest as is still not clear. In moments such as these it is a good rule of thumb to hold onto, and generate into, the energetic that we hope to see in the future – because the dominant energy will become the most visible. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

John: In the meditation dream after noticing an unfoldment that I take as being a foregone conclusion – an unfoldment that’s a foregone conclusion – the way something is unfolding in the outer, I’m looking down the road into the future. I take a step back, and seek to know what the steps are that are involved from within my being, for this to ensue.

In other words, I have this foregone conclusion, and there are two parts to the foregone conclusion, there’s the foregone conclusion that as things are, that what’s going to evolve is going to be askew. And then there’s the foregone conclusion, that I can feel inside of myself, that what can evolve, and is meant to evolve, through a certain connection that connects to something more, that expands into something deeper, that what’s going to evolve is going to be unique and different than what one is inclined to think in terms of the ordinary dynamic just being evaluated as an ordinary dynamic.

And so I’m trying to go behind that to see how that’s coming in; what that is. It’s like asking the question in terms of what is going on, but wanting an answer that’s more than just the mere consequential result. In other words, I’m sensing that the result of this is going to be okay because there’s another dynamic that is shifted into life now.

So I’m trying to see why that is and what was different. What quickened that? And this was like asking to go insane in a freaked out, or peculiarized way, because what went on inside involved considerations and circumstances involving an intertwined outer that goes beyond my scope of outer to inner attention.

In other words, I’m trying to look from the outer to the inner, and that goes beyond my scope. And yet, on the scope, I could sense and I could put it into kind of a schematic, a vibrational schematic, but my attention was such that I had to tell myself, when I accepted that there is a key factor there being an underlying obscure determinant. And this key factor that is this obscure determinant, in terms of what can unfold, and this key component had a name to it.

It’s kind of like this: you can experience a type of absorbent energy, and in that absorbent energy, or an energy that pulls through, I experienced it more as trying to hold a certain vibration greater than the activities of vibrations that are going around in the outer – because the vibrations that are going on in the outer are vibrations that primarily direct themselves to a certain kind of actionability, a thought-upon-thought kind of actionability.

And the vibrations that are going on as a presence that holds to something on the inner, as a deeper inner, is a silence. And so it’s the silence, it’s the ability to hold on to a silence that draws attention to things, and draws something into happening as well. It’s the change agent.

The result that I am back-spinning over that unfolded in the outer arises from a vibrational revelation I am carrying as part of an inner overallness, and that’s what I’m trying to dissect. I’m trying to see: where is this coming from?

I’m sitting now, taking and noticing something in terms of the fact that in this I see it as going into a stillness, but I see it in terms of still trying to do the masculine way of dissecting how it goes into the stillness, and thereby understanding the stages of things as they unfold. Because in the in-breath and the out-breath, that aspect that goes back and forth, it’s a melting pot.

So I isolate the vibratory to be within a zone in which catalytic vibrations are astir. In other words, it’s a zone in which something has been quickened; I’ve noticed that something has been quickened, and so I’ve also noticed where that has quickened at. It’s not quickened at the top of the breath, it’s not quickened at the bottom of the breath, it’s quickened in the midstream of the breath. And so that’s a little harder to catch up with because we have an out-breath and an in-breath, and you’re in the midstream.

At least when you’re closer to where the in-breath turns to the out-breath you can get a greater sense of the stillness, or you’re occupying a recognition of the breath that is running its course in the outer, you can get a sense of a letting go, and a stillness, that way, too. But where you’re in the middle of the breath, then there is still something going on that has a certain momentum or something to it. It’s astir, in other words, it hasn’t sorted itself out.

So I do not have the details from within that zone, other than the general imprint that I am able to take into account, as in an all overallness. In other words, I hold a certain focus to a sense of a vibration that supersedes all of that. That is, even though this other is in the center and stirs something up, I’m connected to something way beyond that. And I know that.
