We are constantly negotiating with ourselves: I’ll skip lunch, so I can have ice cream later. I worked really hard yesterday, so I’m going to procrastinate today. I don’t want to fully let go – because it’s too scary – so I’m going to steal the flow in my dreams. And this shows us that we are often at odds with ourselves – different parts of us don’t feel the same way about things – if they did, we wouldn’t have to negotiate. As the stakes get crazier, we know our resistance is higher than usual. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

John: So then when I come to bed the sleep dream takes on 180-degrees contrast from the meditation dream in that, although I am pretending that everything is natural and in a common intertwined relationship, it isn’t so when I have my attention placed upon any kind of personal bifurcations.

This is so in the sleep dream, in which I may pretend that everything is okay, but I’m actually contracting in a way so that I can defy the natural flow – and thus take from the whole. So, in this dream, describing now the image, everyone at some point in time has to go into their area and connect with something, that is them, in this area. It’s almost like they keep it on a shelf, much like you might have mailboxes, or a mail room, except these shelves are such that you can actually lay in your own shelf.

So in this quasi mail room, in each of these shelves, for each person, each person having their own shelf, is something that you charge up. You take it apart to get to the battery, which in this case is like the heart or something, and once it’s charged up, then it looks a little bit like a vacuum cleaner in that it sweeps things up.

And it has an interesting flow to it, or facilitates an interesting flow, that I’m attempting to steal – because I want it all for myself. And each of these devices in this common area, that’s on a shelf and such that people can come to, that they don’t think anything of, that I know to be kind

of energized, or battery operated. I’ve come to recognize that in this dream that the symbolism of the battery, or the electrical system, correlates to the heart.

So what I am trying to do is subvert the heart. In other words, not subvert it meaning make it bad or something, but to basically be able to steal it. And I don’t want the heart as it is, I want the heart in its regal form.

So what I’m trying to do is, very secretively, charge the battery up before I take the object off the shelf, or the individual’s beingness – storage beingness. The goal, you could say, is to steal from others, and do so in a way that they don’t notice.

But there is a problem in what I am trying to do. What I’m trying to do defies a natural intertwined connection that is meant to be, in which the flow of the universe passes through us. In other words, we are designed to function as a receptacle of inner flow into outer manifestation – and outer manifestation is reflective – and thus we make the most and energize, quicken, the reflection so that it’s not just dense, and this natural flow is the means by which there is an access to a common intertwined essence where everything is in a oneness.

And so the meaning, or you might say, what is the net effect?, is that because I am seeking to mess, I mean starting out with what I’m trying to do because I’m actually trying to figure out a way to get away with this, even though I’m struggling to do this because it’s hard to hold one’s focus when you’re trying to subvert the flow rather than go with the flow where everything would be in conjunction. But because I am seeking to mess with the heartfelt essence that resides within, I am unable to connect in a way that is receptive like I think it should be.

In other words, I’m thinking I have a right to skewer who I am. I’m not quite really buying, or have I bought into, the idea that I am them and they are me. So try as I might I cannot go anywhere with such a deviated behavior. Not only am I struggling with the access to a flow by trying to direct everything personally, but I’m unable to pull anything together when I act this way.

The reason for why it is like this is no one is separate to themselves; in other words, we’re intertwined, we’re connected. And so whenever we act as if we can bifurcate from oneness and get away with it, confusion, that is a misalignment, predominates.

That’s where you get this faulty thinking and you just can’t quite get something to gel. All the value of the inner essence gets lost in a reflective outer that we would like to think takes us in. But we have got it backwards. It is the heart of the world, an essence behind all there is reflectively that takes us in.

To be taken in is the same thing as being in a natural flow that permeates everything. Such a natural flow, which permeates everything, everywhere, is what oneness is about.

Everything is on the move, are we on the move with it? What is it that makes us feel out of sync, or anxious, like we are late for something? Our systems have an internal sense of when we are at odds with the energies that are at play. For us that can turn up as a strange feeling of angst, or it can turn up as a dream where you are scrambling for the bus that is about to arrive. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

John: So I kind of did this, too, but started off first doing it one way, and then switching to the opposite.

So, the one way, the way that works, was in the meditation dream where I’m experiencing, first of all, I’m experiencing a pressure to be ready to go when my ride arrives. I’m scrambling to be ready because I sense that there is something that’s going to just flow.

So in this scrambling to be ready, in which I will be able to then go the instant the bus arrives, I am seeking to put myself in a position to experience the common connectiveness that is everywhere. And in everyone else.

If the bus were to arrive and I am not in this inner space – in regards to the relationship to everyone else – I will be in a discombobulated state of being. In other words, scrambled, not in sync.

And I want to feel the same way as everyone else; in other words, be in the same motif. If everyone is feeling excited when the bus arrives, I can’t be sitting there feeling like I’m still scattered. So I don’t want to be the one out of touch with this common state of beingness, and of flow, so I am looking at what it takes.

I’m identifying with the recognition that there is a flow, and that the flow is something that you can feel sweeping through you. And you can say, in terms of what is going on, that what I’m describing in this scenario is an example that has to do with us being naturally interconnected and intertwined.

When this isn’t so, because the situation in which there is a threat is misaligned, we see our experiences of self and life have been discombobulated, and out of touch, and out of sync. And when we’re like that, we denote ourselves to be removed from a connectiveness that goes right into a common inner flow

And this common state, which is just nothing but a flow that leads, and is, in a oneness, this common state permeates our beingness, is a naturalness, which, when askew the heart suffers because it longs to be united with the one.

And the meaning is we embody a feeling capacity that permeates everywhere and everything with an interconnective heartfulness. Such a heartfulness is what facilitates the natural flow. Or, you might say, it’s what the natural flow vies for and is all about. The state of oneness is a heart that hears and feels the intertwined essence vibrating through us all the time.

Is it possible that a form of life can exist and not be inherently interconnected with its environment? Anything that arises in an ecology must be a part of that ecology. Humans may feel themselves separate, but that is because we have stifled those natural connections through the centuries, and have turned to a reliance on our ego and brain for interactions with the things around us. But, as humans we are much more, and our spiritual journey must include reconnecting to what is natural in us. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

Jeane: Okay, I really just remember my last dream. And, in this dream, I think you were there, and I was in a city that seemed to be being built out over water. Whatever formula was going on, whatever we were trying to do with people, or with building something, it wasn’t really working. And I could see things were going to crash and burn.

On the other hand, I didn’t want you, or the people doing it, to give up too soon because I had this feeling that we could actually figure out the formula about why it wasn’t working. If we gave up too soon, and then people just tried something again and it still wasn’t working – but they wouldn’t know why.

And I kept thinking that maybe if we could figure out what the formula was about why it wasn’t working, then we could figure out how to fix it. And if we gave up too soon, that wouldn’t work. But I don’t really know whether it was going to work, either.

John: The theme of the dreaming has to do with the fact that there is an interconnection to everything that exists, within everything that exists. It’s interconnected, intertwined, and that there’s a common flow.

First of all it’s interconnected, and it’s interconnected because it has a common essence, and it’s through this common essence that a common flow can occur. So the common essence could be, say, for example you can say the heart is the common essence from which a common flow is able to exist. And that common flow is where you end up with what is called an intertwined oneness.

And so, we all have this as a core component, whether we acknowledge it, or recognize it, or sense it, in other words, just to what degree do we denote this is a whole other thing. Now, we are inclined to have this common essence as a naturalness, in terms of the oneness, this common essence in which a common flow is able to be there. And the way this common flow works results in an intertwined commonality.

So, in a way, this may not make a lot of sense to physical appearances, in the world of physical appearances, that is, where you’re only taking something like that into account in a black-and-white way. However, because we can denote this other, within, where we have something more in common in an intangible way, and that there is a flow within all of that that is also there.

If we’re just trying to look at it in a black-and-white way, it can be most bizarre. We have to let go, and take in, and abide in this common oneness of flow, and do so in a way in which we don’t thwart, with the outer, this naturalness that is in the inner.

If we attempt to thwart in the outer this naturalness, which is in the inner, we choke ourselves off. We pinch the heart because the heart doesn’t function that way, even though it, in its denseness, can appear to be estranged. But the heart, basically, doesn’t function that way because the heart is the vehicle upon which everything connects and transmits through, and accesses through, or it absorbs all that there is and every mannerism in the wholeness of life.

So, if we resort to the strict outer tools of things, and hear the echo of something that is meant to be in an intangible inner way, but can’t get out of the way of the outer reflective, then it’s going to be very bewildering. And it can give you a headache – and that’s what you were experiencing.
