spacetimeAs we make our journey, it is important for us to continually update what it is we are trying to do – and to update the reasons why we are trying to do it. It’s important because life will constantly challenge us, and the greater clarity we have in those moments the easier it will be for us to navigate them. If we know the principles and qualities we are champions of, the road ahead will have fewer detours.  (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

John: My dream was influenced, I think, by the fact that I just kept eating this popcorn. And there’s something about popcorn. There’s something wrong with popcorn. It’s unnatural to my digestive system.

And, of course, usually a person identifies that as being the oil, or something, that they put on it in the theater, or something. I think there must be something more in the popcorn than just that. That may be something that one gets around for a while.

But the popcorn is really tasty and I just kept eating it, and eating it, and eating it, and eating it. And what it did was it caused, on a physical level, a certain state to exist that interfered with a normal balance that one needs to have that’s in a state of rest, so that something from deeper within can awaken.

It was an interesting thing because it tends to point out the process of eating all of that popcorn and not knowing any better and having any balance about that and just being kind of indulgent, pointed out something about a type of Adab in the outer. How there are things that you have to do in the outer that lay the framework for the inner to be able to unfold. To which, I had created a problem.

And so, I took and integrated this into the meditation dream, as if that was the theme. The way you did it is you just pointed out that you take all of the variables and sit with all of the variables, and what mushrooms out of that is the clarity and the understanding and the knowing.

And you have to find the space in which that can come together for you. Because there’s nothing more that you need to introduce into it all. You have before you all that is necessary. The masculine is always thinking that there’s something more. And the masculine is always confused why it can’t get away with this or that, too.

So, in my meditation dream, I was taken through a process in which the unfoldment had to be real. By that I mean, I was not able to take an experience that is unnatural to my physical body, and get away with it physically. Because what throws the physical off, will throw the inner off.

Everything that I did in the outer had a way of disregarding or compromising the essential nature that is important to an inter-balanced experience. As a result of doing that, I put myself into a type of imbalanced suffering in a physical way.

So if I live in the outer in a way that deviates from a fundamental flow to my physical well being, then I suffer. And I suffer, based upon having brought something about in the outer that creates a contanglement or confusion to the more subtle, subtle quality of the inner.

If, however, if what I do touches an inner essence, which stimulates creation, something heretofore not possible is able to awaken.

So what I am saying is, I need to be aware of my outer Adab because I affect the inner potential, in terms of it naturally awakening. And when I do, this tends to distance myself from a deeper inner essence of being. Now, nothing, of course, is absolute. And so, in my sleep last night, I had to look at this schematic, even though I had gone off on one tangent, I had to look at the schematic.

All night long the issue was that, as a group, we couldn’t be going beyond how it was that we were designed to be. So, all of a sudden, it’s like, the way I’m seeing myself is I and another person are kind of like the main leaders to a party, to a musical group, that has to be put into kind of a sequential arrangement flow that harmonizes and works for all of us, simultaneously. And the dilemma that exists is myself and another person seem to be over the top a bit, in terms of what it is that we can press out on. It creates a challenge for the others.

Well, the reason for a dream like this is because I have a tendency to want to tweak what exists, and this is a tendency, and when I do this it tends to discombobulate. When I get away with it, I am more or less hooked on the idea that something woke up better that way. And this then causes me to keep doing it, as if you can keep having this little breakthrough and that little breakthrough by doing it.

But the truth be known, I only think I’m getting away with it. Sometimes it was meant to be opened up that way. And if it wasn’t, and to the degree I go beyond what is able to naturally unfold at a particular moment in time, this new wrinkle doesn’t conform to the overall equation that takes in everything, in terms of the entire group energetic, and becomes the degree to which there is an unevenness or unsettling.

Well the dilemma is that whenever you unsettle something, you’ve been veiled. Or you keep something more naturally from being visually caught up with. Well, it also is kind of the hardest thing for a person to see, because there’s something in the nature that has the compulsion to try to enliven or shake something up, or to push the envelope.

But consciousness only really unfolds when everyone is at the same point, or is brought into the equation. You just don’t get along with an idea that breaks the envelope to cause something to expand. You don’t get away with that. Because there’s always a little bit of an ill effect that’s created from something like that. And it’s subtle, but it’s there.

So therefore, to do something like that, you have to have a type of permission, or a right, or a sight, in which to do it. Yes, it is part of a process, but it is not something that is imposed. It happens naturally when every denominator in a whole is embraced.

The flow then, reaches a natural crescendo, that is able to take a next step, as if that is effortless in the transition. But when there’s a push to break out, or to expand, or to cause it to be more, that doesn’t really work.

a-Spiritual_AwakeningIn this dream, John finds himself in a cafeteria, sitting next to a man who has a certain effect on him. This effect has to do with an attention and consciousness placed on our outer circumstances. When we are removed from such attentiveness – caught up in our own world – we lose an opportunity to have a positive impact on our environment. Spiritually, it is our responsibility to be aware of what we add to, or subtract from, the world around us. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

John: My dream starts off with a thing that I probably spent 15 minutes or longer writing up, and all I was writing up, and I knew it was going to be important, was the note of the meditation.

In other words, there was a particular kind of quality in it, and I should have known that by writing up this sentence, which makes sense if you are Nietzsche trying to understand something deep, I suppose, but to the ordinary person the sentence is a little bit much.

But the dream then, that comes about after this, tends to break it down, in terms of its depth, just by it having the inflection within the dream. And so the sentence is: The vibrational resolution to a barrier I feel, must come from an inner state of balance, in order to find within the body’s means to absorb an uneasiness standing in the way of a natural orderliness.

That’s a mouthful isn’t it?

Jeane: Yeah, I get it though.

John: It’s a very deep sentence. So, in the dream, I’m in a cafeteria at a table with a person who has my attention. I guess I just like his mannerisms or demeanor or something. He’s a little quicker, and he’s a little more alert, and he’s not quite as dull and he challenges a person just for the fact that he’s at the table – because ordinarily you just check out and plow the food down and on you go, kind of thing.

But something about him draws a different kind of fascination to what’s going on. So I start off like quietly eating my food, which is some dish or something with oats in it, and we talk a bit but I’m still affected, or almost slowed down a bit, because earlier I had been at a table with family members, in other words relatives.

And these relatives were a little bit more unconscious, because they left the newspapers behind when they got up and left. They didn’t necessarily pick up everything, like you kind of do when you’re in a cafeteria. You kind of cater your tray and whatnot so you’re showing some respect for others. In a cafeteria you don’t generally have waitresses that provide that constant service – for tips and such. 

So such conduct indicated that my family members had less focus and therefore weren’t as grounded, or balanced, as what this person resonates, because he has a courtesy and mannerisms that make him more conscientious in his environment. So he’s not the type of person who leaves behind a type of inattentiveness. 

In other words, he picks up after himself when he goes from place to place and, in doing so, his attentiveness helps the environment that he’s in. His focus and demeanor is reflected to me as if I’m noting something afresh, as if I’d never had an example quite like this, that had a certain snap to it, to follow.

Because I’m sitting with him I’m learning to see the importance of the attentiveness to the environment I am in. In other words, you can kind of get a sense by his presence that that adds a quality somehow. 

In other words, to be like that one becomes more present in your surroundings and more attentive to your being – and your being of course is more than just your personal being. 

Well, this person announces that he is about ready to leave, and intends on passing through the kitchen on the way out, and in doing so he indicates he’s going to pick up something extra to take with him from there, in other words, that’s okay. 

I indicate I am not really quite interested in what he’s suggesting. It’s a reservation on my part because that’s kind of how I actually am, trying to stay off to one side and a little out of touch or inaccessible. And the reason I’m like this is I don’t want to really let go of my space, which has this shut down reservation, and therefore it isn’t as together, in terms of focus, and thus I’m not as attentive as he is. And I explain or rationalize this conduct, to myself that is, as not wanting to be beholden or something, or get too close.

But as circumstances should be, as he is about to leave, I find that I’m also finishing up at the same time so we can use the same tray, which again is a type of more conscientiousness to the environment and others, rather than having to bus two separate trays. 

And in leaving I realize that it’s an opportunity, as I leave with him, the tray will hold it, is to go ahead and clear off the table next to me that’s empty where my family members had sat – because I didn’t sit with them, and put the newspapers and other things that they’d left behind onto the tray, to kind of clear and clean all of that up.

And that also by doing that refreshed me in some fashion. Another person who sees us leaving is curious about what it is that we’re entitled to as we pass through the kitchen. And I comment that it will be “oats,” and I accentuate the comment to show that there’s a different understanding of the food now, as I point out that even though these oats can be looked at as kind of a metallic or metal kind of thing, as an energy kind of thing, it will be oats the food not oats the metal.

And I suppose if you were to think of where one would get such a peculiar analogy of something like that is sugar as a food thing, taken on qualities sort of like that, in that sugar can be used both as food and also the energy and the quality of the sugar itself can be transformed or made into energy.

Something metallic is a kind of energy, and something that is a metal is usually a condensed energy that can serve a more basic overall purpose. And something that’s just pure food is something that’s a waste-able asset that needs to be used up. So we’re talking about both properties, both the property of something that is a speed and an energy, and also something that functions as a food that serves at both levels simultaneously.

The meaning of the dream is when a person is attentive to their surroundings, they have more magnetism and are naturally more attentive to who and what they are in life. The mannerism, or Adab, keeps one more in tune with their space that they’re in.

And also it rubs off on others that are around you in the environment, and facilitates a kind of rapport that wouldn’t otherwise be possible. It’s like it opens things up, like he can pass through the kitchen and pick up something that normally you would never think of.

An obvious effect that rubs off is that I can better appreciate and accept the food that I am eating, and the energetic value it bestows, simply from having opened up a higher degree of natural attentiveness than ordinary, where you just kind of go through the motions. And thus its value to creation is more recognized and noted and brought through, as well as its importance to the sustenance of things.

If I had not had the benefit of this new friend I would have taken things for granted, been sloppier in my outer mannerisms and gone through the motions of eating as being something necessary rather than a conduct that is needed. 

So the theme thought is the sentence I wrote to capture a vibratory state in my meditation dream, and the underlying vibration therein is accentuated with my sleep dream last night. This one long sentence is hard to understand, in and of itself, but gets drawn out in terms of its depth by this dream.

Which again is, to repeat that: The vibrational resolution to a barrier I feel, must come from an inner state of balance, in order to find within the body’s means to absorb an uneasiness standing in the way of a natural orderliness.

And of course it’s a kind of Adab, and that’s how I was able to see that your process was also an Adab, was also a type of responsibility in the way you need to be that is natural for you. It’s not necessarily an Adab that I carry, but it’s something that you have access to that is part of the process of grounding things.

And by grounding things I’m talking about a grounding that brings an awareness down that others don’t perceive and appreciate, as if being brought from an inner into the outer. It’s not just going through motions that don’t mean anything. It carries a spark to it that others pick up on and recognize and see.

shaman1In this imagery, which has a shamanic quality to it, Jeane finds herself helping people embark on a healing journey. Symbolically, it suggests that she is at a point where she is ready to be in service to something greater. That act of service is exactly what creation is looking for in us, i.e., an openness and ability to bring higher energies through us and manifest them into life. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

Jeane: My dream last night was more of a shamanic journey. What happened was I’m somewhere and I seem to be checking with a person in the background I never see, but we’re going to be journeying for two people, a man and a woman. And so they’ve been separated a little because they live almost in these spiral huts that seem to me to be somewhat underground, one in one hut, and one in the other.

And so when we journey we’re going and it’s like we walk in a spiral as we go down, and as we do that we’re bringing something in, either with what we’re saying or sometimes maybe we actually bring something physically in, maybe it’s just with the breath or the intention. 

I’m a little unclear on that. It feels like we’re having a dialogue about how this is done and we get to a certain point and then there’s a discussion as we’re kind of looking at the space that’s been cleared a bit in the woman’s hut, because before you proceed you would do something different if the woman is pregnant versus if she’s not pregnant.

Or maybe she wants to get pregnant and she’s not pregnant yet. And so I’m trying to figure out what the situation is there with that to know how to proceed next. And that’s when I woke up.

John: So what you did is you journeyed into this place?

Jeane: I am there, and it’s like the man wants to do a journey and the woman wants to do a journey. In other words, each of them wants some kind of a healing, and there’s a woman in the background that feels like we’re having a dialogue about how this is done. And then we’re doing it, so it actually was just a very shamanic dream.

I couldn’t tell you that much about the dialogue because we were energetically moving something and bringing it in, and then discussing how you would do the next step. But it’s like the dialogue was nonverbal.

John: You are doing this so that she would get healed or something?

Jeane: Yeah, almost all journeys are about people wanting some kind of a healing, or whether the woman wanted to get pregnant, or whether she was pregnant, so you do the journey differently; there was some kind of discussion going on about that.

John: So it had something to do with her.

Jeane: Yeah.

John: As an effect.

Jeane: Yeah.

John: The dream is taking a particular kind of inner quality trait and pointing out that it serves a purpose, because it has a focus and an Adab about it that is more than personal.

In other words, things that you do just in your own sleepy-bye day-to-day way, kind of is checked-out in relationship to others in the environment. So what you’re doing is, is you’re taking this quality that you have an awareness of inside, which you consider a shamanic power or linkage, and you’re holding an attentiveness to that.

In other words, it’s more than just something that is there in an unconscious way. You’re holding an attentiveness to that. And by doing so, you’re able to facilitate something more able to happen, almost as if that’s a type of responsibility.

Only it’s an interesting kind of responsibility because you’re doing it for the benefit of something in creation, which means that you are actually using the tool for the purpose that it needs to be used for, and that is to pull something down into creation.

This is exactly why shamanic activities are important. They have a very, very direct effect upon things in creation. And what has happened is that those who carry the kind of magnetism that can facilitate something like that are not very many anymore, because with that is a looking out for the cares, and affairs, and mannerisms, and health and well being and the whole regenerative process of life itself.

And it’s as if you’re coming back to recognizing the importance of this quality inside of yourself, which may have been set aside or whatever for a time being, that now is important as part of an energetic to make something come through into life in a way that has an effect that’s needed.

The dream also, even though it doesn’t readily look like it, doing something like this is also part of Adab. And it actually makes a new definition for the word Adab, so that one sees this as a responsibility of one’s being. In this particular case the action of doing something like this, bringing something down, and into, and touching creation for the benefit of creation, not for one’s self, is a flow that makes for a more heartful focus and attention.

And that more heartful focus and attention is natural, or part of this sort of space. And when you are honoring the traits, or shall we say the Adab characteristics, or the focus and attention that comes with this kind of space, you are in a space that’s more speeded up, that’s more quickened, that’s more attentive, and thus more natural to this as a process and as a practice. 

So it’s also a kind of dream about how one breaks free from a type of rustic nature, in other words, one that is dormant, by having you look at the effect of what it’s like you owning, or catching up with, and doing something that serves a usefulness of a larger picture of things.

In other words, you’ve opened up to something more, and you are grounding something by opening up to this something more because what it is that you’re opening up to is a type of vibration that has access to earth magic magnetism, which is something that is often not given its due, like it needs to be, and has to be, if the quality of the inner, the raw energy essence of life, is to be brought through in a way that makes a difference. 

That’s a very deep and interesting dream. It’s a living thing, it’s more of a living thing as opposed to just something that’s more mundane or something, and ordinary I guess is probably the better word in terms of one’s being. You come to see it as a more responsible mannerism.

Now you see what happens when you meditate. You actually tweak the theme of something. You give it a little ping or something that adds a little something more to the dream. It’s not much, but it makes a lot of difference in terms of information that comes through.

The difficulty is that when you meditate and then have to dream, can you catch that? Because it’s a tiny bit more, has a tiny bit deeper depth of acuity than your ordinary dreams that don’t get this kind of premium gas at the very beginning.
