Logo-ColorThe image of giving birth in a dream is a powerful one, because not only has something new been made possible – in the dreamer – but, like any new life, the babies are vulnerable and need to be protected. So what has awakened, i.e., been born, needs to be nurtured by the dreamer so that the new aspect becomes part of the dreamer’s life and ongoing processes. But, of course, different parts of us want a say in the matter, and that resistance can appear as being hunted, or chased, in a dream. The new is always at risk until it has grown strong enough to stand on its own. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

Jeane: So, in my dream, I seem to be around some family, but I’m almost like in a foreign country, at least some place that seems not like home. And I’m pregnant, and I’ve given birth to a daughter and then, after a delay, I give birth to a smaller baby that’s a son. You know, pretty much all in the same time frame.

And right after giving birth to the son, it’s like I’ve left the place where I am and I’ve gone with a man and a woman that are with me to another home, just a short walk away, because people are hunting me. They seem to want me and the babies.

And then I can hear they’re coming to that house, so I walk back through the woods with my friends to where I gave birth, to the original house, because they’d already searched that. And there’s a convertible there, which is not ideal, but that’s what I feel like we can all make our getaway in. It’s just I have to go into the room first and very quickly sort through what I’ll take with us and the babies.

And then I think I get in the backseat with the babies because they’re taking me somewhere else. Well, where they take me, it feels like I must put the babies down somewhere, and then I’ve gone into this large dining hall, and I almost have the sense I’m in an embassy or something, but it does have this huge dining hall with a lot of people in it.

And once I’m at this embassy-type situation, you have been around, but you’ve gone out to check out a living situation. It feels like you’ve gone to check out a hotel or something, that’s in the city, about whether or not that’s where we can go next. And I don’t seem to want anybody to know what’s happened, or what we’re doing next, so I’m in the dining hall acting normal.

And like somebody comes up to me and mentions that there’s all this speculation that something rough must have happened, because I think they found the room where I’d been with the babies and it was all roughed up or something, and I say, no, it was just an easy birth and the babies are resting now.

I’m just not like giving anything away to anybody because it’s almost like I want to just create this kind of normal façade until we can get to where it is that we’re going next. That’s pretty much the whole dream.

John: So the theme of the dreaming, last night, was that there comes a time, after the catching up with something on an inner level as images, or as qualities, of beingness that this somehow has to inflect into everything else in life.

And so, the masculine way of dreaming it would be to look at it as if there is a systemology, or ten-point plan or something, aspects, you know, levels or something.

The feminine way of dreaming it is that she sees in her nature that she carries something, or holds something, or sustains something, that she feels as an atmosphere, in the atmosphere. Well, she feels it, but then there’s more than just being able to just note it and feel it, so the dream starts off in which you’re in a house in which the atmosphere is conducive to catching up with this quality within.

And so you give birth to something that has a wholeness, both a masculine and a feminine quality. But you can’t stay in this house, so, when you go out of this house, are you able to take this quality, and the atmosphere, are you able to take that with you into the outer, into physical manifestation, so to speak?

And what you’re finding is that, to the degree to which you aren’t doing so, you’re haunted by parts of yourself that can have the understanding, so to speak, of what this inner depth is, can have the understanding in some sort of, we’ll say, subconscious level or something. But in terms of in the outer still it comes across as if something is still affecting you, or haunting you, or throwing you around. But because you have the effect, in a kind of subconscious level, it is almost like you have the inflections of how to go back to how it is that you are able and meant to be. In other words, it’s like you’ve got the masculine and feminine invisible sides of yourself that are kind of like hinting, or causing, you to function inflectively, even though you have issues that you’re not able to quite live and contend with. You’re not able to live this, so you’re still contending with something as if it is still haunting you.

What you’re talking about, in the end, is a realization that what is happening, from the sense that you have from deep within, that if you brought that through totally into the outer that would be a letting go. It would have the sensation of a letting go, as opposed to reacting to this, or that, yet, as if something is still haunting you.

And so, in the dream, the way you’re understanding it, is that you’re not going to be making any big deal out of anything in particular, you know, everybody likes the racket, and the doingness, and the carrying on, the so-to-speak news report of things, and you’re not buying into that because to buy into that serves no useful purpose.

So you’re almost catching up with what it really means to just let go, and that such a letting go then becomes a taking of that which is latent in your nature into a livability in the outer. That’s pretty interesting.

leileWe can see in the world that things that have been suppressed are rising to the surface – and when they do, they must be dealt with in some way. So it is in our dreams, where the suppression of something can arise as the image of a war zone, or of being hunted. And yet there is a way out of the war zone, and that is seen as the image of taking responsibility for two young women. And the hunters and the hunted, and the person taking responsibility and the young women, are all inners lives of one person, trying to make themselves whole. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

Jeane: Well, in my main dream I’m with at least one or two young women, and we seem to be in a country where a war has broken out. If it’s not a war, what it is is that there’s militia or soldiers that have guns that are around trying to hunt people, or scare them out, and I know that they would also hunt us.

And so I’m trying to get to the airport with my couple charges there, the young ladies I’m with. At one point I even go down into almost like what’s a bunker. It’s like a concrete “V” in the ground, and you go down and then you come up, and you’re under a little shelter, and we’re lying against the sides of the concrete.

And then I realize that there’s all these soldiers laying to my left and right, and they’re actually the opposition soldiers, or the people that would tend see us as the people they’re hunting, except because we’re all kind of lying on this concrete, and our back, and not facing towards each other, you know, they just don’t realize that I’m not one of them.

So I’m able to kind of crawl up over the lip of that and get away to the airport. And it feels like my charges get there with me, too, the young women that are with me.

When we get to the airport initially we’re in a separate room before you go out into the main area of the airport, and there’s a man that comes in, that also has some women that are with him, and he’s a famous author I know that lives in New York.

And he had come to the airport early, from what his ticket says, so I realize that when he tries to leave he’s probably going to be hassled by them because he just thinks this is like normal life going on, normal circumstances, it’s no problem, you just get your ticket changed. But I realize that there’s actually kind of a semi-war, or battle, going on out there, and it’s probably not going to be that simple; that he or whoever he’s with will be a little more vulnerable. But my main concern is that I just get my charges and myself into the airport and we get on our flight.

John: So what this dream is working with, and dealing with, is that it’s kind of like something that has a need of opening up, or coming into recognition, and it has to do with energetics that are repressed in some fashion.

And, initially, one takes in the limited, dense way that they live. One takes and establishes conditions, or a way of life, that pushes away the environmental conditions that you don’t design, or personally put your attention to. So that’s why there’s this pressure of something trying to come in, because you’re pushing it aside, meaning that you’re holding onto kind of a personal motif to the estrangement of that.

And then that evolves to where there are certain responsibilities and obligations that you’re required to put your attention upon, and when you put your attention upon that it’s as if that lightens up, or causes this other that had been more of a problem, that took up more of your attention, causes that to be repressed, or to dissipate a little, because your attention is upon something more, or of a greater overallness.

But just because it’s repressed doesn’t mean that it goes away. It just means that your indulgence changes, in which you’re not dealing with that in such a limited way because your scope of awareness is extended out to a greater responsibility and wholeness. But there still is that, and that then shows up as an imbalance that you see when you’re at the airport.

And to be at the airport means to be in a position to take off, to go somewhere, to take a major step. And at that airport, then, you see this person that’s in a state of disarray. This being a component, or part, of yourself, it had been a condition at the beginning that was trying to get your attention that was chasing after you or something that you repressed. You were able to take a step beyond that kind of repression by catching up with the responsibility that you had over an overall scenario but, as you did that, it was almost as if you set aside what had been the direct needling and condition of something terrorizing or, kind of in your psyche, creating a need to feel like you’re under assault.

That aspect goes away in that regard, but comes back in the image of something that isn’t quite known, or made right. And you have your charges, as you say, that you’re taking responsibility over, and can take and go ahead and deal with that, and can see this other part just as an estrangement condition that you could easily conclude is not associated with you, it’s just part of the environment. However, it is associated with you, and you have to take that in, as well.

So the dream has like a one, two, and three step process. It points out how, in the beginning of one’s unfoldment or process, you have to contend with conditions. And you’re contending with those conditions as you’re exercising your freedom of choice – in terms of what it is that you’re designing, or want to see happen.

And you’re generally doing this in relationship to a perspective that involves your personal self, and then you find relief from that when you realize that you have a bigger picture to contend with or, in other words, responsibilities that take in the greater wholeness.

But as you’re taking in this greater wholeness, it doesn’t mean that you are taking in this other that had been hounding you. I mean you’ve taken the pressure off, but you haven’t necessarily totally resolved it, which means you’ve subrogated that aspect, or repressed it, in some small way or fashion, as an aspect of opening up to your greater responsibility and wholeness.

And then, before you can really take off and be dynamic, you have to see this yet again. It all has to come back out. It’s in a different, shifted energetic state that is still part of you, and it needs to be taken into account in order for there to be a full picture.

It’s kind of a simple dream, wasn’t it? When you break it down.

black-beautyWhether we find ourselves being chased in a dream or, more subtly, just welcoming a newcomer into the ongoing scene, the images we experience often are trying to lead us to a greater acceptance of a part of ourselves. Here, Jeane, experiences both scenarios as a way to overcome resistances, and embrace the energies of the masculine within. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

Jeane: In one dream I had, it’s like I was living with I would say two other girls. We seemed like we were in our twenties or something. One of the girls and I, we had two closets that we used. And then I realized the third girl, who slept in another area, I wasn’t sure where her closet space was and maybe she’d forgotten to figure that out, because I finally go and talk to her about it.

One of the things that I had to do is I had to make some kind of a poster that I was then going to hang on the wall of my closet, on the door. And as I’m making this poster, I made it in these kind of soft pastel colors.

We’re all making posters. Even some guys come and make posters. And we’re making it kind of with some chalk-like pastels and maybe some paint. As I’m trying to put it together, it’s like this guy comes over and it’s like he does things that kind of mess it up a bit, make it stick together where it shouldn’t and I have to pull it apart.

Whatever he does it just seems to make it stickier and harder to deal with, so that then I have to get it unstuck together and pull it out so it looks like it should, so I can hang it up. I remember that was annoying. It was frustrating.

I finally get it hung up, and I think that was when I finally noticed that the other gal needs her own closet. That’s all I remember of that dream.

John: The nature of the dreaming last night was to be able to take in energetics that are in the surroundings of one’s being, that you usually ignore or block out in order to do something. And so you have a scenario in which you’re trying to feel the comfortability of the space that you’re in, and the images all carry an energetic vibration that define how you are able to function in that space.

In other words, first of all you’re in a room with other roommates, and you all have pictures that you’re making. The fact that you have a separate picture from the ones that your roommates are making, there’s a very subtle separation there.

However, because they’re roommates, there is a closeness too, so it’s not like you’re really that estranged by the fact that that exists, because somehow you’re kind of working together, but you do have this slight separation to you with it.

And then comes a person into the room, which causes you, in terms of what it is that you’re directly working on, it causes what you’re doing to get distorted or affected. And when that happens, of course, your attention goes to what it is that you’re doing, which was kind of casual and carefree to begin with, and now you have to get that back on track.

And what happens as a result of that is you will then lose track of the others in your room, or in the space, who are all working on their paintings, which you kind of supported in some fashion, but now you have to let go of that support because you’re having to contend with something that disrupted or distracted what it was that you were doing, which invaded the space.

A dream like this is, more than anything, the importance is not necessarily the unfoldment in terms of what’s going on. The importance is in being able to recognize what this is doing to your attention – on an energetic level. You’re meant to be able to take in this estranged, unusual, more outside of your comfortability zones, energetic that this guy brings in.

You’re meant to be able to take that in, and if you can take it in, it will enhance the situation. But if you’re not able to quite let it in, then what it does is it disturbs or discolors or diffuses what you’re trying to be.

A dream like this is intended to show you how to be flexible and fluid, energetically, and in a flow, and not get mired in a mannerism to the point where those other things happen. You’re not able to handle those or take those into account without finding yourself getting estranged, without finding what you’re doing being impacted or discolored.

There are two ways of remembering a dream like this. One is to remember the dream and just leave it at that. I’m inclined to have to get a dream like that to pop in because I would remember the energetic as if I’m going straight to what it’s about, as a meaning. I would then forget the dream and forget the symbolism, and therefore just remember the energetic;  it doesn’t hang around very long.

In your particular case you remember the imagery. Now you need to connect the imagery with the energetic that that imagery had you feeling, and then that adds something to your greater being that’s being worked on, or is awakening.

Jeane: I think I had a dream that maybe even began before that one. It’s almost like it would go on, and go away, and come back.

At first it took place at an outdoor area, and I would be like almost like in a park, but the park also had a hillside to it where you could hide. And it felt like a lot of time I was hiding. I was hiding and watching what went on, and I almost had the sense sometimes that there were government people trying to do something to one. So I was trying to stay off the radar, so to speak, but still kind of spying on what was going on around.

Everything was very green. It was usually more dark than light, and I would see people get taken into this trailer, and the trailer might be just sitting in a clearing in the park with some steps going up to it. And I’d be on the hill spying, particularly when nobody was around.

I just had this sense I wasn’t going to let the government get me in that trailer. So I would be moving around a bit so I could kind of stay away from whatever I felt like the government agents were trying, to hunt you down or what they might do, and noticing what happened to other people occasionally.

That dream just seemed to go on for a long time.

John: It’s good that you could remember that dream, because that dream is louder than the other dream, in which that which is distinct and separate and troublesome to you, in terms of a focus and a direction that you have yourself aimed in.

It’s like hunting you down. It’s like not giving you any solace or peace. You’re not able to isolate your attention around that which you have selected as important or meaningful. When you put that together with the other dream you realized that you’re meant to be able to take all of that into account – that adds to a part of your greater Wholeness.

As a masculine way of a dream, it would add to your clarity, in terms of being able to have a broader perspective in terms of life around you. But in terms of you, it just all is meant to be taken into account and fit into your world as a Wholeness, to which then you have a greater being and heartfulness that encompasses all of that, as well, and that you can take all of that in as well.

If that was my dream, it would involve having to understand the things that disturb me, which are the variances, which are the changes that are stalking me or interfering with my cadence – as I see my cadence to be. And if I can include that, then I naturally become a more whole person simply by being in the objective side of my development.

And you become a more whole person by being able to take something into account, looking at it from a feminine direction, by the greater subjective side of you that just naturally knows how to be with even more.
