New Images for Old

Here is a continuation of the discussion that arose yesterday with Jeane’s dream (Head for the Hills).

John: We live in a world where everything around us is still scrambling to hold onto some piece of the pie, and we cannot be doing that. We have to yield to our higher-self centers, which means making an allowance, as our teacher would say, to welcome the creator into his world. But that is only possible if we do not struggle. If we struggle and resist then we’ll remain veiled to the process, which could impact how the future unfolds.

The idea here is for there to be a realization and recognition. We are given hints constantly, but we can’t continue to ignore them. As in your dream, where you are able to ride into the hills if you don’t slow yourself down with the baggage of preconceptions or old patterns that can’t be let go. Now if human beings are shown these hints and they react instead of respond, basically throw a childish tantrum where they demand their right to be wrong (and stay ignorant), rather than recognizing and appreciating the opportunity to transition toward something higher where much more is possible, well it brings to mind the phrase, “May my mercy be greater than my justice.”

We are not meant to go that way. Humans are meant to be part of something greater, and to welcome and participate in that. So some of the images that come through in dreams are a part of that change and that transition. The dilemma that exists for us, and an aspect that we must be alert to and understand, is that a student with a true teacher can never keep up with what the teacher is doing. The teacher is always going to catch the student off guard. So the teacher represents the higher self, and will always be representing the higher self, and the student is bounded by the outer world. The student cannot readily see the light of the higher self. He may perceive something inside, but not see the actual light.

The teacher can, and he can see the light of the soul in the student. And so the student will always be in a state where he is caught off guard by the actions of the teacher, because the teacher will always be functioning in recognition of the higher self. The same is true in terms of the outer world, because the greater teacher is the outer world. It then, as the greater teacher, is ultimately the higher self.

As things change in the outer world, and we see it now with tornadoes, earthquakes, volcanoes, everything could become confusing when the things we take for granted disappear. What we take as certainties are no longer certain. So this can happen on every level, internal and external. Things that aren’t supposed to be able to happen, will happen. And that will defy the rules and ideas of how it is supposed to work, but who said that it really works that way?  Those are our assumptions.

Now, in order for this to occur where you don’t have everything turning to salt or stone, you have to have humans that are okay with the changes; that can trust in and stay in the flow of what’s important. You have to have a higher-self appreciation and recognition so that the images of the transition can come across in a way that is manageable. If, as the intensity and speed of things picks up, if reactions (or over reactions) pick up simultaneously, and despair picks up, human nature will end up getting crushed rather than rising up and appreciating so much more.

In a way, we are being put to the test, like Job was in the Bible, where he had everything taken from him. Still he did not lose his faith, and he was rewarded with a new and greater possibility. That message is appropriate for these times. If you maintain your trust in the universe and don’t fall back on easy patterns and egocentric concerns, more awaits us. There’s also the idea that the enemy is your friend, because of what can be learned and overcome in you. Everything is an opportunity if you connect to the peace of nothingness, rather than to the material somethings that soothe our lower self identities.

The key is that the lower self will never see the higher self as long as it continues to react, and the higher self will likely not be able to change the images in the world if the lower self continues to drown it out. Our old ways prevent us from being able to appreciate what is actually going on.

Behind the Veil

Jeane: I am in a building that reminds me of a church, or of a municipal building, that has now been turned into a place where people meet to work or to keep track of things. There are a few different activities that go on there. I am putting together an Excel-type spreadsheet, and even though it doesn’t feel like I am working on a computer, it comes out all typed up. I am putting in columns and adding up different things on the spreadsheet and it seems as if some of the entries are of things that mobsters have done. I note that the columns are being tallied. When I add in a certain line of data, it seems to lead to the death of my friend’s father, because somehow this information is now written down and part of the record. So my friend and her mother come to this former church and we have a talk. Maybe I am killed at some point. I am not even sure if that happens, because I still seem to be there. We have a dialogue and I wonder if they are upset with me about putting this information into the spreadsheet. It is after I put in that last section of information that recorded activities that people get eliminated, perhaps even me at some point. I am trying in my mind to track back and figure out more of that dream, but I keep falling into other dreams.

John: In this scenario, you find yourself in church, which is a vibratory setting. This means that you are operating at a high level of acuity inside, through which you have greater insights into things than you normally might. On the spreadsheet, you are giving order to, or playing with, the principles of things in life. By doing that you are able to see into the energetic of everything that you are playing with. Some of these energetics have a certain weight or density to them, i.e., someone dies. You are also able to recognize what does not make sense: you can put an entry down on a piece of paper, initially as a kind of curiosity, only to find out that it paints a whole story. And every entry, each story, has a little vibration to it. Some of these vibrations are not pleasant, or feel awkward. There might be another that could have had a bit of an epiphany or an awakening. So each one of the entries has a connotation or a mannerism to it.

And you are able to pick that up. Yet if you did not hold onto the vibration of that place in yourself (that inner church), you could get lost in the maze of those different vibrations. If you were personally caught up in and disturbed by the entries, you would disconnect from the continuity within yourself and lose access to the insight. But you are not. The dream is an imaged example showing how everything has a life (energetic) to it, but that it does not have to be correlated personally. Everything has an effect, so the key is to discern from that effect what is relevant to you as a part of the wholeness. This is something the divinity in you (the church setting) sees clearly and knows backwards and forwards.

We all go through the same process, it’s in our nature, we just don’t think of it that way. Say we are trying to determine who would make the best leader, we consider input based upon impressions that are falling upon the screen of our being. Some of that story line might have to do with how a person comes across currently, and some of it has to do with latent shadows that exist in terms of a person’s past, and some of it has to do with the sense you get of how much potential growth they can attain. When we gauge all of that, we are taking a reading of their soul, in a way. Is it a young soul? Is it an old soul? Is it burdened by its own history?  How deep are their defense mechanisms?  How are their reactions inside?

So we are always processing data to the best of our ability, in relationship to an inner quality that sits – like a church setting – inside us in a sanctified way. The problem is that we are limited in our assessments of the outer world by our ability to see through to or discern the secondary causes, the truth behind what we are seeing. Every little thing has a secondary cause, even if it is just a pencil entry that gets put into a ledger. The secondary quality points to what is really going on, behind the reflection of it that we see in the outer world. And how does one get behind that reflection, to the deeper truth?

Manifesting Your Life

Here is a beautiful example of how a seemingly straightforward dream opens up to unveil one of the great truths.

Jeane: I’m lying next to you in bed and there are a bunch of file folders resting on your abdomen. Inside one of these folders are little plastic cassette cases that are filled with silver, or can be filled with silver, almost like silver bars. I know the folders are there and I am aware of the one folder with the silver in it, and I have the feeling that most people would be content with that knowledge. But I feel the need to make sure we know which folder the silver cassettes are in, and how to open them up, because initially I do not.

I feel compelled to open up the folder and lay the little linked cassette cases out, and then somehow the silver gets poured into them and really becomes solid. I am not content until I can do that. At first I struggle to do it but when I finally succeed I end up with all these little, plastic cassette cases, with the tops open, and they are filled with silver that will harden. There are links or bars connecting the cases together. Once the folder on your abdomen is open and the cases are all linked from there in a straight line – it stretches out some distance – and are filled with silver, only then do I feel that things are okay. I still am not feeling completely satisfied, but it will do. It was definitely not okay until I got that figured out.

John: The interesting thing about the image is that you are taking what you sense inside, and you are bringing it into the outer. The file folders are actually laying on me. They are like me, or a vibration of me. In a way, any energy that is put out into the world is karmic: It is not a question of it being good or bad, it is just something that comes into manifestation. Once it is out there it has to manifest.

I, too, have been sensing that whatever it is that one takes on in their nature, it plays through them in a way; it has a certain karmic unfolding. It is like adding a catalytic quality to something that may be otherwise inert. And thus, it is very important to be aware of what you allow to manifest, very aware of how you allow things to touch and move you. Because we are formless in a way, and when we respond and become attentive to feelings or energies that are filtering through us, the attitude we have toward them is an energy we generate and that will ultimately manifest. If you are feeling something weird, then the formless quality creates a karmic effect in just that weird way. If you are feeling something sweet and deep and tender, then that is what will emerge. That is the nature of the human being – they are mirror for the things they process.

The key to something like this is in recognizing the process of taking what is an inner echo, and then bringing it through to the outer and turning it into something catalytic, like silver, or ultimately even gold (which is a completeness). Here you are dealing with silver, something that is transitional in an evolution to something else, to another state.

It’s important to recognize that as a human being you are surrounded by choices and potentialities and, depending on what you give your attention to, you can manifest meaningfulness inside you of your own choosing. Your choices can lead to denser qualities of the egocentric life experience, or you can take what is emerging inside you and shine it up – transform it. That is the natural process; it’s simply the way life works.

It’s like the teacher has said, there comes a point in your life where you have to be careful what you think about. Another way of saying it is that you should have an awareness of the energetics you connect to and identify with because that is what will then manifest around you. There is freedom of choice in that, and a responsibility.
