09eewIn our dreams, we are always trying to find a balance between the masculine and feminine natures that we all have inside of us. The outplay of this dream shows three generations of female – child, young adult, and older woman – trying to bring the masculine into a “healthy” relationship.  As we are all the characters in our dreams, this is an inner struggle that needs to be resolved, yet the female dreamer understands that the feminine aspects cannot become like the masculine aspects to appease them, or make them feel comfortable. The relationship needs to be built with respect to the inherent nature of each characteristic for it to be a healthy one. Jeane: I just pulled out my last dream. In my last dream it’s like I’m maybe young, just around teenager somewhere. I’m living in a house with a young girl, a little girl, and an older woman, and then there’s a man that comes in, periodically.

And he seems to be trying to do something for all of us to help raise the little girl, but he doesn’t always know how to interact with her, yet, and he’s getting older. I can tell there’s something kind of off, or wrong, about him right now, so I want to do something for him, or we all do.

So we look around, and he does have kind of a strange vehicle that’s parked in one room of the house. I don’t even know how to describe it. So I realize it might help him if we could take him out for a ride in this, but we could never drive that. And then I feel like anything we could drive we couldn’t drive fast enough, anyway.

I wouldn’t know how to drive a motorcycle, which might perk him up. So I’m racking my brain trying to figure out what I can do, you know what kind of a ride I can take him on that will kind of perk up his energy. And I’m going over in my mind things like horse and buggy ride, a Ferris wheel ride, I think. Maybe a ride in a convertible is what I finally come up with. I’m just racking my brain trying to come up with something because we don’t know how to drive his vehicle and we wouldn’t drive that fast enough, anyway. And that’s when I wake up, as I’m just trying to figure this out.

John: So what you’re talking about is the feminine nature to be able to take something that is in a masculine outer context, that is overly spacious in its nature, and bring it into a cohesion so that it can see itself, and so that everything can come to a cohesion.

What you know is that you don’t try to keep up with that, because if you try to keep up with that. And so that might even be a big aspect of a correction here, is the idea that you have to try to keep up with that. No, it’s not your role to try to keep up with that. It’s your role to try to cause something to occur, so that the effect of what is overly spacious, and zooming out, is able to find a cohesion based upon the way you hold a presence about things, based upon the way you allow something to be able to be felt, or experienced, which means you have to pull it back to some degree.

But you cannot pull it back in a way that restricts that. You have to pull it back in a way that comports with that, without trying to race out that way yourself, because you’re not allowed to race out that way because that is not what is meant to be, in terms of who you are. And so you are seeing that, in terms of who you are, you are connected to a sight on this particular level in terms of a higher self part, the grandmother part or whatever, and your regular, natural nature. You have proper cohesion training, or understanding, in this motif to be able to take and make a difference in this kind of atmosphere.

That’s very interesting. Which is the same thing as saying that you are bothered by, for example, a certain aspect of something in the outer, and it probably relates to me, and it has to do with how something is out of twang, in some regard or another. And that you’re not going to do yourself any favors by trying to catch up with that which is out of twang, or going in some pace that it’s going in. Instead you have to hold a quality of a presence of nature and being that enables it to be able to let go of maybe the way that it is driving itself. You don’t try to drive that way yourself. You, instead, hold onto a cohesion, and in that holding onto that cohesion you are actually giving something to that aspect of unfoldment.

And what you’re evaluating to do is to figure out what it is that you have to give to it? Is it a convertible approach, or is it this, or is that? In other words, you’re still working within the context of the car, meaning something that drives itself in a pace, and at a point, that you’re not going to be trying to catch up, or keep up, with.

Now that’s interesting that this is pointed out to you to have to recognize that you need to be like that because, from my perspective, I keep trying to get you to speed up. And that is not right. I act as if that you are missing something if you don’t learn to go catatonic, and then let go of the catatonic. That’s me, in my dementia, trying to turn your world into a dementia or something.

You know the approach that upholds a state that is conducive to a greater beingness, and you function in a way that tries to hold that together, and not try to keep up with that. And this is an interesting inner lesson of a quality of depth of a feminine beingness, because you often see, in terms of feminine nature, you often see the opposite occurring where they attempt to race out. They attempt to join that kind of world in some capacity. You know, women take and are all concerned about this, and all concerned about that, all as an idea that it has to do with imagery or something. And so she is not able to let go and actually settle back into herself.

But at what price is that in terms of her catching up with a deeper depth of herself? Having to maintain an image, and a persona, that is in keeping with having to conduct, in this kind of environment a certain way of coming across – and you see a lot of that – and how you are is you’re being shown that the exact opposite, or contrast, is what is important.

There is a way of letting go having to go around like that because that is a debilitating state to have to sit in.

51282The world is full of advice on how we should proceed in our lives, and what we should listen to, and what we should think. Yet here is an example of how our unconscious can give us advice about where we are in relationship to a certain life process, and that advice is unbiased – it’s not even a suggestion, it’s just a looking-glass view of what is unfolding. It gives us a chance to see clearly for a moment, and that can be all we need to make the best next step. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

Jeane: My first dream, it’s a little hard for me to sort out exactly what the issue was, but it’s like I’ve gone over to a house and it feels like there’s a bunkbed. And I feel like there’s some kind of maneuver I need to make to get up on the bunkbed, and I have with me two kids, a boy and a girl. It seems to be my maternal grandmother’s house I’m at.

So as I try to figure all that out, then my grandmother comes into the room, so I’ve gotten down off the bunkbed. I’m kind of sitting on the bottom bunk, and then the phone on the upper bunk just makes a little blur sound. I mean, it’s just like a little one note, and I realized it had done that a couple of times and she tells me that’s actually what her telephone ring sounds like. It doesn’t ring a lot, it just makes one little sound, one little, “beep” sound, or some kind of a little sound that’s not like a normal ring at all. So I hadn’t even realized it was ringing when it was ringing.

So then I look at it, figure the light’s on, there must be messages on it. So I pick up the handle. It’s an old-fashioned phone with a cord and everything. When I pick it up, the operator—it was a real old-fashioned phone—the operator starts giving me instructions on what the code is to pick up the messages, but it’s almost like a word code rather than a number code. I guess it was something that worked for my grandmother that, you know, certain words and certain sequences and that’s how she knew to answer her phone, but it’s pretty bewildering to me because I’d never do a system like that.

So I didn’t quite hear the words or I didn’t quite know what they meant, so I have to kind of put it aside and look at my grandmother and see if she can explain to me, because I feel like it’s important to get the messages, but I’m not quite sure how you do when someone gives you these words. And that’s all I remember of that first dream.

John: What the phone represents is the connection, and what the grandmother represents is like the teacher. What the words represent, instead of the numbers, is like the name that unlocks; it’s like the name of things. It’s unlocks by knowing the essence of something, how to touch it. It opens up and reveals to you. So it’s a dream in terms of how to merge. It is a dream about merging. Taking and coming closer in order to be able to access it.

What the dream portrays is that you and parts of yourself, the boy and the girl, are able to go up and be in an area in which all of that is possible, where it’s receptive. But in terms of trying to grasp it, you have to pull it back down into creation. You have to bring it down from up above. In other words, you have to take it to heart in life, which is the merging, which is the greater teacher. And it’s a path about losing one’s self into the essence of everything that exists as the greater teacher.

So you have the grandmother that’s the facilitator. She says, well, that’s how it is for her. That’s what her sound’s like. But it has you in your grandmother’s house, or the teacher’s house, or the go-between, so to speak. The teacher of the teacher of the overall. It has you having to come to grips with a quality of merging, which causes you to know the names of everything that exists in creation, so to speak. Which is another way of saying how to touch everything that’s in creation, which is another way of saying of how to be in a space in which all of that is open and receptive to you and it’s not a surprise to you. It’s all part of you.

What’s interesting is the dream also portrays where you’re at. It portrays that you’re reaching that zone. And that you have the qualities inside of yourself that are with you, the little boy and the little girl; the softer qualities inside of yourself. In other words, you’re not just as an adult, kind of linear. In other words, you got the both halves. You’re able to work with the both halves, but you then have to in almost a grown-upish way, take this into life. You have to be able to know what is there to be heard. And you reduced it to the sense of hearing, but it’s also the sense of merging as a hearing, as a recognition.

In that regard, it is like the ring and the connection that the grandmother has, and you have to experience that for yourself. In other words, you’re in your grandmother’s house, so it’s your grandmother’s presence that is emanating out. And from that, you’re answering the phone, so it’s you that has to bring this through. It falls upon you to bring it through. She can tell you what it’s like, what it sounds like, essentially, you know, so to speak, show you what it is, point it out or something, as the teacher would say. But it’s up to you to go through that, to experience that.

What is the experience, then? It’s the experience that has to do with something that connects with all that there is. In other words, when you really hear it, as if a part of your heart that becomes receptive to all that there is.

It’s a dream about the completeness of something, in terms of one’s self, in relationship to all there is. It’s kind of like a dream that, if I were struggling with it in terms of ideation, I would be looking at the dream as if it were saying that some part of myself isn’t quite doing it. However, when you look at it in an overall, in which there is no imposed judgment, it’s indicating a process that is unfolding. It’s portraying where you’re at in that process that’s unfolding.

EUROPEAN_DRAGONSIn this dream we can see the shift from more normal imagery (a business meeting) to the more fantastic (a dragon that eats people). Yet it is all a personal, inner journey, and describes the process of accessing that greater energy that is within all of us. If we make this journey within ourselves, things will shift from mundane to magical. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

Jeane: Well my second dream was so loud it kind of chased away my first dream. All I really remember of my first dream is that there were two parallel figures. That’s all I can remember of it.

But the second dream, I’m living with this woman who feels like a relative, it’s no one I’ve really ever seen before but seems to be in my grandmother’s house, and I even feel like she has her husband that lives there somewhere but I don’t see him much.

I’ve gone off from there to a meeting in the city; the meeting seems to be in one of those like offices and conference rooms that’s in more of a hotel-type building that has things going on. Initially, I go up to this room. I go in there for where the meeting is. I’m kind of listening and there must be a break or something, or there’s more than one day of meetings, and I leave.

And when I’m going through the hotel I go into a florist shop. For some reason it’s near some date that I feel like I should be getting flowers and taking them back to my grandmother, and I want to walk with some friends that I see from school, but it feels like they don’t want to talk to me and so I kind of shrug that off and I go into a florist shop.

The door is almost all the way closed. It’s just slightly nudged open so I have to scoot into it. There doesn’t really seem to be any customers in there, there are just people from the floral shop that are arranging things, so I start looking at the different arrangements and different colors of the flowers.

I’m noticing the beautiful colors and things and I must be checking out the arrangements or the types of prices. I’m kind of going over in my mind if I took something that had artificial flowers back to my grandmother, I mean like they would last a long time, these are nice arrangements, but fresh flowers feel like more what you should do. But it’s not even a bouquet that I’m getting today. I’m just thinking about it. I’m kind of planning and looking. It’s kind of pricey in the hotel, too, but I’m just looking at what they have.

And then I kind of leave and I go back to the meeting room and then I’m told at the meeting room that I need to come back actually the next day, and they’re having a specialist come in who’s going to be talking about attention deficit disorder. I go over and get a piece of paper from one of the people there that tells me like the time of the meeting, and then there’s a slight shift, because it feels like when I leave the building I know I’m coming back the next morning at 8:00am to go to the meeting – even though it’s Saturday morning.

But when I’m coming back the shift just shifts to when I’m coming back. When I’m coming back I seem to be bringing a little boy with me and we’re also bringing this dragon, but this dragon isn’t really a friendly dragon, it’s mostly a dragon that eats people. And it seems to be on some kind of a motorized cart and I’m sitting on the dragon’s shoulder. It’s like the dragon is going to be some kind of an exhibit at the top and he’s under some kind of a truce agreement that he won’t eat any people.

And like he’s being pulled on this cart lying down so it’s not like he… you usually think of a dragon just flying wherever it wants to go, or walking, but he doesn’t look that well, or he’s just kind of a little anesthetized or something because he’s going to be at a meeting with people he normally eats.

So, I’m sitting on his shoulder, I’ve got the boy behind me a little bit, I’m talking to the dragon because it has got this truce not to eat anybody, but it still kind of leans over and sniffs my foot or something now and then like it wants to take a chomp.

And then the dragon is communicating to me, too, that after the meeting he’s going somewhere like Paris and that’s the whole dream.

John: You start off at the grandmother’s house, which is where you have some sort of reservoir of yourself that you access and it’s an ancientness of your being. You then go into the depths of life with this part that comes out of you, or opens up, or that you access. It’s part of you but not yet something that you tangibly put your finger on, but you do carry with you as an energetic vibration – and for lack of a better term it’s your grandmother vibration.

And as you go to a meeting that’s a coming together that enables things to open up, because it’s a type of intertwining that occurs and, as a consequence of this intertwining, you find yourself a bit estranged from others around you, in other words people that you want to walk with or something you can’t walk with. They’re in a more laissez faire manner; you’re in another state of attention.

So as you carry this vibrational attention that has opened up for you into a florist shop, you’re still contending with the residue of those that you wanted to walk with that you couldn’t because something has changed. It’s not bad, it’s just you notice that that’s been left behind and so in that regard the energetic shifts a little bit to how you contend with this slight change in your being.

And, whether it’s slight or big, what’s reported to you is the difference between something that’s plastic as an arrangement or something that’s alive. And you come to recognize that, yes, the plastic can go on and on and on, but the aliveness there’s something much more real about it. So when you take on this aliveness, you then become a bit like a force of nature if you don’t know how to carry this aliveness in a pacified way.

The part that knows how to carry itself in a proper way is not the grandmother energy necessarily now. The grandmother energy can access all of that, but it’s the new energy going forward, which is the little boy, and it’s a type of sight because it’s a little boy, instead of a type of presence, it’s a type of sight. You have to be careful with this sight because if not brought forth in a way that doesn’t disturb, it has a tendency of tearing up everything in its path.

And it’s the innocence and the quality of the little boy that’s important in this equation. You can access this dragon, which is this quality of power inside of yourself, but it requires a type of sight that enables you to take what you have accessed and bring it across in a way that doesn’t take and cause collateral damage in the physical sense of the world.

You have this all welled up inside of you and your challenge is to be able to keep it and to work with it in a way so that it comes out and across in an intertwined, connective manner. It’s a heck of a dream, tremendous dream,

And, of course, the scenario for that was the fact that one invoked this process of realizing what one had to have a relationship to things in our surroundings, that we’re not separate from those things in the surroundings, and that that has its own dialogue, it has its own inner power. It’s tremendous.

Your dream is a dream in relationship to a quality of bringing the energetic of inner into outer, only you’re looking at this from the standpoint that there has to be a way to do this so that it doesn’t tear things up in the outer, it isn’t too bright of a light or something

The key to the understanding of that is not you in a sense of power trying to sit on its shoulder. That helps, I mean that’s where you are at, that’s how you’re trying to work with it now. But the little boy plays an important part as the new energy that’s able to bring it through and get it to intertwine. Really wonderful deep dream.
