Honoring the Energetic

tIt is a truth that we connect to the energies of what we think about and focus on. It’s important to remember that when we are obsessing about current events, either in our personal life or on the world stage. We are in the world, yet we don’t have to be connected to the energies at play. We instead can consciously choose to connect to the higher-self energies and, thereby, have access to a guidance that is there for us when we are aligned to universal purposes. Jeane: What was different about my dream last night is it felt like my dream went on for a long time, and it was very detailed and very involved, but it all revolved around one theme.

And it’s like when I woke up I just remembered the theme, and the theme was a phrase I’d heard as I was walking past a television yesterday, about how the debt itself didn’t matter if you had something like global warming going on that nobody was doing anything about, which affected the reality of life.

And so it felt like in the dream I was going back and forth with someone that was in charge of the country, or in charge of whatever, and we were wrestling with examples of this so that, on one side, you might have like something that you do that’s conservative, I imagine it would save money. I can’t remember details at all.

I just remember the energy of going back and forth, and other times you’d go into the energy of what you needed to do to actually be doing something that affected the planet, or saved something on that level. And I was going back and forth between one side and the other. And it was like very detailed and very strong, but all I remembered out of it was the bottom line.

John: Well, what the dream is about is guidance. In other words, that was the theme last night of how you catch up with the guides, or the guidance, or essentially I mean that’s the way of putting it, but it’s the sense of a listening center that you hear inside yourself in which you’re able to make distinctions in terms of what is meant to be, where your attention is meant to be.

And it’s an intention that has to be oriented towards something that furthers, or is more in tune with, the whole. And so in the dream you have the outward nuances, you know the debt crisis or politics or whatever it is that you could be quibbling with, and those kinds of abstractions are like having to contend with your condition in the physical, in a lower-self way. And then you have an echo inside yourself that seems to take on something outside of the loudness of this other because it recognizes a bigger picture, or the higher self.

It is recognizing something that is connected to, and you are contained within, and are a container of a higher order of things, which is called the higher self, upon which you have a linkage that you also know, that you come to know, as who you really are. Now you can go along thinking that you’re dealing with the debt crisis and all of that, and have your attention thrown around in terms of the mundaneness of that sort of thing, in which your energetic then slows way down and gets very contracted, gets very dense, and those conditions throw you around. You get reactive towards what you hear. You have opinions this way and that way. You’re trying to find your better judgment as you carry on some sort of discussion that is, in terms of the greater schematic, actually pointless. And to the degree to which you irritate yourself in terms of carrying all of that on, your dream is trying to rescue you from that.

Like I said, it’s a guidance dream. It’s trying to point out that there is a much larger schematic and connection that you have to catch up with, that you have to be connected to, that you have to be aware of, that you are part of, not some little extricated deviation. And in your dream you call that the global warming, or the global effect, that is pervasive.

Or you could take that the next step. It’s the higher self and the linkage of the world’s soul. And your trite soul caught in the magnetism of the physical body that then takes and has to experience the ups and downs of things, if it is able to pause, that is why it’s about a listening, it’s about a guidance, it is able to see that this other is what is really the dynamic in which you are intended and meant to find yourself. Not finding yourself over the pros and cons of something that is sight specific to a lower-self nuance. To do this is to listen, to adhere to, the hints, the mannerisms of the heart, not get caught up in, not bite when it comes to something that is thrown around out there.

Everything that is thrown around in the outer has a common quality to it, in that it is attempting to establish the A’s, B’s, and C’s thinking that that leads to a solution or resolution. And in the old energy that seems to have been the vice grips that we were caught under and could function no other way, but that way, 90 some percent of the time, as if we were climbing a tower of Babel to find a missing link in the puzzle or something that would get us out of the conundrum. Under the new energy, it’s as if this other is an agitation.

This lower-self stuff looking at the debt crisis or however you characterize it is a distraction that takes one away from the bigger picture, in terms of the overall. And so, is it really a bigger picture in terms of the overall? Because the way the mind works is the mind is only able to sense that which is in the present, and it senses it as an aspect of physical. Instead when you orient to the higher self, you orient, and you make the shift that is the new energy, you orient to an energetic.

And when you’re oriented to the energetic, that energetic is pervasive through everything that there is. And so it is from this energetic that you’re capable of taking on and grasping the greater overallness of what you are, which is something that’s intertwined with the whole. And so you function in regards to a recognition of the energetic that is the whole, as opposed to the weakness and the fearfulness of one’s nature that thinks that it has to know the P’s and Q’s of some this, that, or the other and, in attempting to do that, it stomps on the heart of this greater inner guidance and listening center that is attuned to the whole.

See, a human being can’t help it. They have to try to make something understandable, and when they do they kill the mojo, they kill the guidance, they kill the listening center; every time they try to bring it down to where it is graspable.

It doesn’t work that way anymore. Instead you have to get to a particular point where you recognize how all of this stuff about yourself hurts the heart, clamors the heart down, keeps you from a greater freedom in the overall, which is an energetic. So you have to do those things that protects and honors the energetic. You have to be in flow with the energetic. You’re connected to that, not to that which has to understand and comprehend the this, that, and the other. The attempt to understand, the attempt to comprehend, kills the mojo, kills the beingness that operates in the whole.

Needing the Within

maxaultPerhaps the most elusive aspect of a spiritual journey is the idea of living from inner into outer. What does that mean? And how does it look? Well, it will be different for everyone, that’s why all true religions are personal religions. But it might begin with a consistent letting go of the personalized views and feelings about our moment-to-moment experience, while remaining open and available. i.e., listening, for the guidance from within. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

John: And then the dream I had in the morning takes it into the image. And in this dream, I’m looking at a map. On this map is a whole bunch of places that are marked on the map and those are all experiences that have swept me up in some fashion, in terms of outer places I’ve been with myself.

But what I notice is that all of these places, or stations or whatever experiences, or however you would say that, keep coming down. They don’t go up. They keep coming down, on the visual map, of the symbolic map. They’re all exciting to me, but they keep coming down. They’re not going this way and that way, and all over. They’re supposed to keep coming down.

In having experienced each place on this map, I’m able to keep coming down because I have to integrate the effect inside of myself, so that my consciousness is able to absorb, to be grounded simultaneously.

And this was harder to see because the image wasn’t there, but I had some sense of it. I experienced the going-up sensation and this energetic is harder to perceive. This is where your kundalini flows off and whatnot, yet it’s imperative and necessary and essential in keeping me oriented to the whole. Without this vibration there as well, it’s not possible for me to properly orient myself to the experiences of the outer.

I need the within to keep the perspective to the whole. In other words, the magnetic, gravitational orientation of physical existence would consume if I didn’t have this inner spatiality.

Thus I am able to understand the expression, “to see the forest through the trees.” Or similarly speaking, if I am always going out and do not know how to take energy into the outer to experience the one-to-one correspondence of inner/outer, I’m not able to awaken. Both directions are needed.

What is going on?

In the dream, I experience—and by what is going on now, I’m talking about what is there about the human being that causes this to be constantly at play—and what it is, this is what stands behind the meaningfulness of the breath. The in-breath. The out-breath. The in-breath. The out-breath. The constant contending with this. The in-breath takes me to an inner home. The out-breath brings me back into manifestation, where if I do not hold onto the inner essence of the in-breath, I will become consumed by the denseness of the outer. However, with each experience simultaneously, life in the outer is sustainable and the inner awakening is grounded.

What I am doing is intertwining what appears intellectually to be opposite directions. For there to be a natural integration in the whole, the two directions must be aligned with each other as counterbalancing forces.

The innerness is too transcendent in and of itself to be grasped. The outer reflection, which I imaged as a coming down kind of roadmap, provides the imminence needed. But you have to put the inner and the outer together for there to be a proper consciousness of the whole.

Or to say it as a Taoist image, the greater the darkness—or statement, rather—the greater the darkness, the more light is possible.

And there is also the yin-yang symbol of light and darkness in harmony yet seen in contrast to each other. And the Oxnard picture of the bull that is black, you know, which over time becomes more and more white as the innerness is able to be appreciated in the outer reflections in manifestation more and more.

And in the Oxnard picture, the way it is generally explained, is this occurs at the end of life from a polishing, in which the blackness, denseness, darkness of one’s youth and unconsciousness is transformed, integrated, polished into a light, whiteness, inner connective awareness, until there is nothing more than the black spot at the tip of the tail.

While back to the yin-yang and how that image is portrayed, because it has the counterbalance, in which you have a black dot in the center of a whiteness that is a flip side of the basically, essentially, when there is the inner and the outer coming together as one, you might say it’s even a flip side of the same coin image, although that doesn’t make sense to a linear mind, in which you have the blackness with a spark of light hidden in the center of it, or nearly hidden in the center of it.

You could actually take this into kind of another way of describing it as saying that each person carries inside of themselves, deep, deep within, in the essence of the heart, or you might say as God hidden in the heart even, a spark, a light that gets brighter and brighter and brighter and brighter. And how that is able to happen as a process is a dynamic that I just dreamt and experienced.

That’s pretty hard to explain to somebody, especially to a literal mind that’s got to have everything all in its Ps and Qs place.

Within the Within

Richard Wilkinson
Richard Wilkinson

In this imagery Jeane is involved with members of a church who, at certain points, turn into animals. What does that indicate? On a spiritual journey, we need all aspects of our inner lives in alignment and in harmony, which means that we need to agree to the journey in our brain, our heart, our stomach, and our masculine and feminine elements as well. Until they all agree, our dreams will show us which parts still need convincing. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

Jeane: So, in this last dream, it’s like I’m a member of a church that is secondary to a larger church that it’s part of. And someone from the larger church that has come over to our church acts as a minister although he’s more like a lay minister. He’s more like an assistant minister. He was like the treasurer that he’s a minister of our smaller church, and he’s come over from the larger church we’re part of.

And I’m aware of this, but most people aren’t, let’s put it that way. Well, there is something that has happened within the congregation, which is that he’s been at some point, like, bit by something that turns him into an animal at a certain point, that then bites other people.

So, I’m looking at this whole situation, which many people are unaware of. And I know he’s bit at least one other person, this woman that also helps out, who also turns into an animal at certain times. So, I’m kind of trying to do something about this whole situation before it spreads much more.

And I do figure out that what’s occurred, which can be seen as destructive or, like in the old days, you would figure out who the werewolves were and you did away with them. Well, I figured out, in this case, that there’s something that can be prayed for and used and that they can actually be useful, but they have to understand their nature or something and we have to expose it. At the same time, know how to utilize it and that that can be somewhat done through prayer by the whole congregation.

First, I look around the room and I identify a couple of people—the woman was the first one he bit, I think—and two other people. What happens is that at a certain time they turn into animals. Well, she turns into a frog at those times, and I forget what animals the other two turn into.

And I kind of explain to people, we just have to identify everyone, I think there’s only four of them, and have them go up to like the front area of the church. And then when he comes back, because he’s been gone, we also have to get him to change and then you can do some prayer or something with this book, and the situation can be changed.

Now the woman was terrified to do this because they’re not really sure what is going to result; but she does and pretty soon we have—I forget what the other two animals were. Well, it’s a little trickier with him because the main animal that he turns into is a rattlesnake, but we do have to get him to turn into that and to go up to the front of the church while the prayers take place.

And there’s a book involved, and it feels like then once all of that happens, then it’s almost like whatever they turn into can be almost be used for good, or it will not have whatever negative influence it was having. Anyway, that’s as much as I could tell you about that.

John: So, all of the animals and stuff that they turn into are characteristics and traits that exist as kind of reflections, the depths of which is sometimes hard to understand when you’re trying to adhere to a central note.

So, what your dream was doing is it’s taking the first two dreams that you had, in which you took and you in the one dream came to realize that you could go back and catch up with the essence of something and then have an understanding as to a deeper meaning, as to why and what was going on with a Geronimo story, or Ho Chi Minh, or Mao.

And that way of going to the within-of-the-within was also associated with, and part of a process of, being able to go to the higher, inner teachers inside of yourself, after having something been awakened in terms of the initial teacher that always points to the deeper inner. Keeps passing it along, so to speak, to more and more.

So then this dream tends to take and show how it is, but okay let’s be realistic here. How is it that you’re actually kind of working with that? You have these bits and parts of yourself that create spells over the condition of this quality that can plague or affect that. That aren’t what they necessarily appear. Even though there may be an intent, there’s still this bifurcation mannerism.

Now, you come to realize that you heal that by pulling it back into some sort of whole. Because all of the various traits—all of the various animal traits outside on their own—reflect deviations. But, at a higher aspect, they all are part of the whole—don’t have to be the deviated aspect. In other words, each animal trait, you know, if you were to take and look at it bluntly, in kind of a judgment sense, in relationship to the whole kind of judgment sense, you could say that each animal trait reflects a deviation.

But, however, that deviation is not a real deviation. It’s just a reflective deviation where it is out of twang with the note. And that when you pull it back to its deeper essence, what it’s really all about, then it adds something.

I found as you were describing this I couldn’t help but wonder what the idea that this is in Shamanism, where you’re going and finding animal traits that have power and stuff like that that actually have a quality that can have maybe always a negative consequence to it, but has, at its essence, a more powerful meaning. There’s a similitude here.

It works that way, in a way of working with manifestation of something that is imbedded within manifestation, like all of the animals and traits, and such like that, that at their deeper essence as a wholeness, have a note that they tend to answer to if you can open yourself up to that depth. And that’s where the real power is at, that gets communicated across as an aspect of the essence in Shamanism.
