reincarnation1In this dream image, Jeane has the feeling of being stuck while on a journey that is moving in two directions. It’s an image that calls to mind the karma of past lives and reincarnation. Yet as John points out, whatever may have been has no true bearing on where we are today, i.e., we still have to let go of it and learn how to be connected to the higher aspect of ourselves. In this sense, the details don’t matter. It’s only about the process of letting go and allowing something higher to be our guide. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

Jeane: So my dreams last night were more of an impression because there was always a motion going on.

And the motion going on was, first it’s like I’m going forward and I seem to run into people who are in some kind of transition, like maybe they’ve left where I’m just going to. Then when I go there and I’ve left I run into them. Maybe they’re stopped at that point and I’ll have a brief dialogue about where I’m going, or I’ve been, or whether I’m doing some of what they’ve done.

It’s kind of not specific, but the purpose of it, it seems like I’m trying then to go back in time to a point where my dreams got stuck. And when I go back there, that’s represented by these two little squiggles that are stuck like a valve is stuck. There are two of them.

I’m looking at what got stuck there, and even having a dialogue with somebody about whether this particular thing got stuck, or that one did or didn’t, and I’m trying to unstick something. And so there’s this flow going on all the time in two directions.

And so it’s not like a dream where I could pull out the details as well, because there was always this kind of movement going on.

John: I had the same kind of dream, and it’s almost as if you’re affected synaptically, as if there’s something still pent up as an energetic to some action, some mannerism, some way that you used to be.

It’s still somehow or another in your energetic field, or aura, even though things are completely different. It’s as if that was another period of time, like another lifetime even, and yet you still carry around the shadow effect of it.

And you find yourself coming back to that, as if you’re reawakening the synaptic mannerism that you had been involved in from a long time ago. And you have a lot of sight in that particular area from that involvement, and now you are catching back up with that as a faint flicker.

And as you come back, you’re trying to like reawaken or figure out where you fit in. It’s like finding a long lost home or something in your nature, and that your involvement there, as you come back you’re not sure what your involvement is. If anything you have a sense that whatever it was has ended, but you still carry some faint cognition about it.

The purpose of a dream like this is to get you to become familiar with the fact that you have lived and been all kinds of different things over the course of your entire growth and evolvement as a person, a soul, having come into a human body. The activities and such that you’ve done have left very vague impressions perhaps that still malinger like as a kind of smoke, or amnesic quality that’s kind of in the air, although you’re not having to do that sort of thing this lifetime.

That’s over and done with. You’ve worked that through and that’s in the past – but is it completely? Is it totally? Well, the issue is that you still carry some sort of flickering memory to that.

This is again an alchemical dream because we do carry these flickering memories that can go way, way, way back in time, and that still kind of are part of the fabric of our nature because we went through life in particular ways back then that are different now because all of this got lost in the birth/death cycle.

But now you’re having some sort of synaptic refamiliarization to some degree or another that’s kind of amnesic in terms of it. The reason why I say this is kind of an alchemical dream is that you can’t go back to those. You can’t do that. You have to let go of those inflections, inflections that are part of you, that are interesting memories because you identified in some way, maybe even had some good memories in terms of that, maybe things worked differently with you in terms of those faint, faint memories, but you have to let go of those.

In other words, the change that is meant to happen involves you to reconcile all of that sort of thing, too, that you carry as if there has been no passage of time. You have to let go of even that. In other words, you have to be at a point which takes into account other lifetimes even, hundreds of years ago.

In other words, just like what we did to the American Indian. If things are going to change in the future, we can’t even have that as some sort of qualm because then that qualm, that mannerism, that guilt, that self consciousness, or however all that is, would create a stigma, and an influence, an unfinished-business effect upon that which is destined to be shaped differently.

So you’re having this flashback effect, that’s somewhat pent up synaptically, that conditions or circumstances of your consciousness is causing to come back to the forefront, to have an effect rising up inside of you. And when that sort of thing rises up inside of you, you have a connectivity to it. You have a history with it, and so it can be kind of alluring, and kind of intriguing, and there can be a sense that there’s something left to do.

Brimblecombe-Fox_K_Stillness Within_2010In John’s dream imagery, which faces the same issue as Jeane did in her dreams (see Flow and Reaction), the struggle is to maintain an inner quiet that is connected to the Wholeness of life, rather than succumb to personal reactions and mannerisms. Our patterns of personal reaction to events, in our outer life, close us off from the grace of creation. And in our dreams, those same types of reactions veil us from the guidance of our higher self, which is trying to awaken us. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

John: I don’t approach it quite that way. I’m coming more from a predilection of dwelling on things, and needing to pick up a greater Wholeness of what’s going on all around me – as if that’s what’s missing. I’m having to take what is specific, and recognize that there’s a greater answer in the overallness.

Are either of them right? No, they’re just dimensions and levels that are quickened in our being, which occurs when one takes into account these aspects, both at an objective, and as a subjective, overallness, when you take them into account as what the whole equation needs to be.

In other words, you can’t be just one way or the other. You have to be both. It’s an unusual way of dreaming, but I think my dreaming might make it clearer because I go at it from a specific standpoint.

In the dream I start off with looking for an easy solution, as I probe an inner depth. And the easy solution is to deal with the situation in a particular way, which is fairly obvious on the surface. In other words, this is what you see.

Once you’ve felt something for a while, and you do go to a certain depth inside, there’s the first obvious response that you experience. However, I am shown that this is inadequate, just settling there is now inadequate: I need to take on subtler and deeper depths of myself.

So as I go deeper into this feminine principle of accounting for a greater overallness, I actually stop a certain kind of doingness, or reaction action, because I find that doing what was obvious and apparent as a solution is not what you naturally reach to all the time.

There’s a greater depth that doesn’t do that, because when I look at the overall, more expansive, levels within my approach, the opposite is what becomes apparent. The opposite is a quietness where you don’t respond or react to reactions or mannerisms, because at these levels I’m shown that I need to simply let go.

That is the gracious answer to everything that is bothering me. It occurs when I touch a depth within, where having to do something has reverberations. This occurs when I reach the state where silence is the golden elixir.

Until I do that, I’m inclined to still reach to an answer, in terms of how to deal with what is disturbing to me. In other words, until I reach that depth. In other words, I still have these feedbacks and responses that synaptically come up, and these responses are still in the realm of reactions.

And such reactions are not taking into account the greater overall depth of myself. The greater overall depth of myself takes in other inner levels where there is a Wholeness, and in doing so becomes quieter and quieter in terms of, then, reaction and response becomes more and more peculiar, because that interferes and disturbs the quieter and quieter mannerism.

This dream where I see myself as having to take into account a situation in life where there is an obvious response that comes up where I notice how that is. In this dream I also notice that there is this other person, and that person is like a side of me that exists on more levels of beingness, who sees all of this from an opposite approach mannerism.

That this is an approach that goes beyond the obvious. And so in this dream, the obvious reaction response, which is seen as coming from a particular depth of myself, can be even quieter to which then reaction response goes silent or empty.

Seeing this greater overallness, with expansive other levels taken into account, stops me in my tracks. My action reaction has consequences for an awareness that takes into account this dimensionality. In other words, you maintain some actions and responses, feed on each other, and continue whatever motif you go off on as a tangent. It’s a spiraling.

So when I am experiencing this greater beingness inside myself, I sensate with an auric key, which adheres to a quietness. Upon this quietness every reaction response is seen as a karmic loudness. The inner depth of overallness that I am talking about is a beingness that is able to find the empty space within every situation.

The deeper meaning of this is, in a dream there is typically a response to that which is in movement from within, which is seeking to wake up. The movement is reflecting from an inner depth and a higher consciousness. The inflection carries a vibration that reaches a depth, and reaches a deeper note, which goes beyond what is readily apparent.

What is readily apparent is the inflection that has this motion action reaction upon it, or to it, as one’s inner depth level of one’s self. This tends to throw one around because the effect is noticeable. What isn’t noticeable is that this effect response is also able to be absorbed by a greater beingness that has an overallness that is rooted into and from an emptiness or quietness.

Each state we experience in a dream needs to be placed into such an emptiness, and that emptiness is the real station. To begin with we are swept up by the loudness of the state. Our reactions tend to be in the way, they get in the way, of a quietness.

When we are able to take on an expansive station where the levels of our beingness do not need a doingness reaction response, that is when a greater auric sensation starts taking everything into account.

And that is when everything naturally bounces off of this greater auric field, that is, in effect, able to accept everything as being a flicker from out of a Wholeness, which is, in and of itself, empty and silent.

enlightenmentOne of the very interesting aspects of dream work is that it allows changes to take place at a much deeper, inner level. What this points to is an ability to accept, or let go of, personal psychologies at the level where they reside – in the unconscious. So, something that might take years to sort out through interactions in daily, outer, life, can be worked through in the minutes, hours, or nights of dreaming. Here, John gives us a description of this process. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

Jeane: In the first dream I had, it’s like I’m somewhere where there are a number of people, and I’ve gone into a room to talk to a guy. It’s almost like we’re all high school age, or college age at the most, and this guy is one of three brothers.

And it’s almost like I’m pretending I’m going out with him, but I’m really waiting until his brother shows up. When I’m in there, we’re suddenly talking. He says he knows that I’m really just with him until his brother shows up, because that’s just always the way it is. Everybody likes him until they see his brother, and then they want to be with his brother.

And he’s even joking about it. It’s almost like something he accepts. For some reason, when he does all this it suddenly makes him slightly more interesting to me, because I tell him it’s kind of like that with me sometimes with my sister, too, because we’re at that age when she kind of looked a little bit like Marilyn Monroe.

So I kind of understand it, and the fact that I understand it and that he sees all of this, and has a sense of humor about it, suddenly makes him a little more interesting to me even, than his brother. And that was the first dream.

John: That’s the quality of being able to recognize. In other words, one of the influences of the dream, one of the effects, has to do with a type of raw energy. And the degree to which it’s actually accepted, and when it’s accepted, it changes things completely.

If you don’t accept it, then something that’s more refined seems more interesting, but when there’s the raw energy, and you can see that the raw energy is comfortable being the raw energy, in other words it’s just not unconscious raw energy which is just all over the place like a drunken sailor or something, then it’s more interesting because the nature of raw energy is that it has an access through its density.

In other words, it’s like everything is balanced, and if you have a certain degree of refinement, and you then tend to approach life in a smoother, more cadent way, things are a little more rhythmic, and that can also lead to not much going on. And if things are all in a certain kind of skew, if that skew is carried okay, then there can be an interesting revealing.

And so you’re playing with the nuance; it’s almost as if you’re handed a puzzle where you’re saying, okay, this is more whole, and this is more incomplete, and that which is more whole is maybe more rounded but doesn’t have a certain degree of something else as yet, an unfolding potentiality.

And so when you see the raw energy, and the raw energy being carried, there is an unfolding potentiality that the other doesn’t have, because it requires something because it has this linkage that has been normalized, and something that’s more kosher, or deemed more appropriate.

I actually used to look at this trait in a whole other way of looking at it. I used to look at it in terms of I.Q. and aptitude. I was having to look at it because I realized that a rounded component nature was not what I was born with or bestowed.

And so I had to wonder where that went and so I would take and I would look at those who seemed to have a naturalness about them that was balanced, and where things kind of seemed to come to them effortlessly. And I noticed, as life progressed, that they didn’t go very far.

It’s not that they didn’t have a good life. They got good educations, they got good jobs, they took on roles in society that were deemed to be something that people put on a pedestal. But deep down I realize that only went to that particular point and stopped, because nothing prodded them further.

And it takes this raw energy, or some intangible, it’s like a friction, or something that takes and grates and rubs. It’s that which has to merge, or that you have to accept and work with, and live, and carry. It’s that which creates the interest of something able to break through, or reveal things in a dynamic way.

It’s that kind of energy that actually has something back, deeper behind it than something that has everything, all the edges worked off and is all smooth and rounded. I used to look at that in terms of spiritual paths. It’s like other spiritual paths, I notice some people carry themselves with a certain respect and honor that you need to bestow them, but they can’t dive into themselves beyond a certain depth. And yet at the same time, they hold an equanimity where they don’t get thrown around quite as much, either.

It’s just now coming to my attention how it is that this distinction in the process, in the science of awakening, works and it is based upon levels of speed. You have one level of speed in the outer ,and you have another level of speed on the inner, a much greater level of speed on the inner. If you have a balanced nature, then there’s nothing compelling you, as a need, to go at a greater speed on the inner. So you tend to go along with that balance in the outer, and so you don’t emerge or grow as quickly.

There’s an intrigue that gets lost. You look good initially, but it only goes so far. If you have something that has to be handed across, or surrendered, the surrendering of that is a surrendering into a greater speed. That greater speed knocks off outer process – the seconds of that knock off days, years of outer process – so you’re going at a much more dynamic clip inside.

Now a person who catches up with some of that, but is still carrying the raw energy in an outer context, can be seen as a little bizarre, a little awkward, a little uncultured by something that has taken and codified the qualities in a tranquilized way. But if you look and recognize more closely, it is that characteristic, which requires the greater need in terms of the surrender, that has the potentiality of scoping out the furthest, or going further.

But you don’t notice this so much on a routine inner/outer casual way of looking at things. The reason is because the raw energy of the person in the outer, is going to still tend to make them look a little less balanced because they haven’t taken on the mores of everybody else, and yet the degree to which they’re going on the inner, because it’s so much faster, that they accumulate the karma of the outer at a certain speed, and they accumulate the breakthroughs on the inner at another speed.

So, if you have the speed of the inner at ten, and you have the speed of the outer at one, and ten and one is eleven, and you meet in the middle, you’re going at 5 ½. But if you’re a balanced person, and you have a speed in the outer of five or four, and then you have a speed on the inner that isn’t much different, like at six, so the changes are slower, and you meet in between, you’re only at a five. It’s lesser. It’s not as quick. It’s not as interesting. It’s not as dynamic.

And that’s why it’s said that in a spiritual process, the person who has the most to overcome has the most that can be gained. And that’s also why it’s said that you have to live life first, before you have something to let go of, or to surrender.

And so your dream is reflecting that. In other words, you have distinguished that in terms of somehow or another your ability to absorb, or to handle, or to carry, or to be shaken awake in your own capacity. It’s not going to happen if you’re in a situation that’s kind of like milquetoast. If you’re in a situation in which you’re challenged, and required to have to contend with things that you are compelled to have to absorb, and to take into account, and balance out, that is what makes life more interesting. And that is the process upon which you grow better.

Sure, you could define a life that has better appearance, and looks a little this way, and a little that way, and takes off the certain rough edges straightaway. But if you do that, then on the surface that can seem to make things better, but on the level of where it really counts on the inner, or as you call it, the more interesting inflection, something gets lost.

That’s how your dream worked.
