Two Places

de77So much of spiritual development lies in personal development, in the sense that we need to understand ourselves – to know ourselves – before we can really grow and progress. These two dreams illustrate that process by, at first, showing an upbeat image of riding in a convertible and playing with energy. But to get to that “place” in oneself, certain things have to be faced and, in this instance, involve going into the dark depths and working something out. And the darkness encountered is really just a measure of how intimidated the dreamer is to make this bit of progress. Thus, the fundamental struggle of a development journey. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

Jeane: My first dream, all I remember about it is kind of driving down a road with somebody else in a convertible. And what I seem to be doing, when I’m in that convertible, is I’m kind of feeling what certain energy lines look like, but those lines seem to run up my arms, and just across the neck, and then down the other arm. They don’t go all the way up. That’s all I remember about that dream.

John: It’s an image in which what’s open to the sky was not important. What was important was a connection of a type of receptivity that took in a wholeness of kind of the placement of yourself, in other words, where you’re sitting holding a connection.

And so the question is, what’s the connection you’re holding? The connection you’re holding is a connection to the receptivity to manifestation, to the physical.

And what does the convertible represent? The convertible represents the openness that exists to that which is the life force that comes down. And when you have a convertible you’re opening yourself up to the light of things. When you don’t have a convertible you’re shielding off a little of the light, and you’re holding your focus primarily upon, and you’re feeling the energy of, things in a rooted way of the physical.

And why is that? The reason is because the feminine nature holds the linkage to that which is in the plane of manifestation as sound, and the masculine nature holds the linkage to that which is light, which is more of a speeded-up nature. And yet you could say that in a fullness of completion they come together. But they will appear, by their very nature, to be on two different planes of beingness.

So the question that comes up is: are they to come together? Well, if they are to come together where there is light, can you have the other? And the key is you have to have both. You need to have both planes always there, that the big mistake in terms of trying to intertwine something is the intertwining by the very term of the word indicates that something merges, that the physical merges with world soul, or the whole of things, in which case then you would have a transitioning. You would have one thing going into the other and, therefore, it would become that. And you would be intertwined, but, yeah, there may be planes in which the whole energetic light of things is accentuated, but in this plane you need to find all that there is in these other planes and, at the same time, yield, and adhere to, and support, and maintain and not shut anything off in terms of the planes of manifestation.

And then what your dream is doing is, your dream is showing you that the key to you being able to feel the energy pulsing through you, through your arms, through your nature of things, is your way of being able to hold the quality of that which is in life. It’s real, real hard for the masculine to perhaps judge that, because of the sense of something more.

Jeane: So, in the next dream, I know there’s some parts of it I lost, but initially I’m with a group of people. We all seem to live in this apartment complex. We’re up on one floor of it, but you can kind of look from one person’s apartment across to another’s, or even go there on balconies and things.

And it feels like we’ve traveled somewhere, together as a group, maybe in the building, and it’s time to go back. But one of the group has told me that I need to get more exercise, so I’ve split off a bit and left the building and gone up around the block, and gone further afield. And in the process of doing that, I find myself in a rather strange building, and there’s something that I need and it’s like I open up a door that maybe people don’t know about, and it almost has a slide that goes down to another level, and in that level on the outer part it’s almost like there’s counters, and women, and everything is warm and friendly – but I know that what I need is… you know, what I express maybe some need that I’m directed elsewhere.

And I open up a door and it’s to this kind of dungy, scary almost room that’s narrow, and darker, and there’s a man in there that’s kind of wearing a long coat and looks kind of spooky. But that seems to be the room I have to go into to get whatever it is that I was needing. And when I go in that room, I just know the room seems to kind of narrow, and next thing I know I find myself back up near the roof where I had been before, on another level.

And I start walking trying to get back towards where home would be. And then you’re there with some other people, except you’re blindfolded, and you’re kind of bent over backwards and wearing a strange outfit, and there’s some strange appendages some places on your body, too.

Then I feel like if I make love with you, even though it’s kind of out there in the open and everything, and you’re blindfolded and don’t know it’s me necessarily, that this will heal something that’s going on – but I have to kind of calm the situation down to do that. And that all feels like tied up with what happened in the room down below before, and so it feels like I approach to do that, and that’s kind of where I forget where the dream goes next.

John: It’s a dream that I could’ve predicted from what you told first. I was wondering if you would go through it and have a dream like that, because the first dream just set the very general scenario of things in a very, very general way. It was almost like a meditation-type dream, in which you would have to understand the symbolism between the open top convertible and what that was, in other words, the sky in relationship to the grounding.

And, in the second dream, you’re pointing out that you need to catch up with that quality, and it’s a masculine quality, that is blinded, that doesn’t even know the degree to which it is connected to something. And that’s the greater soul or whatever, the clarity of something in terms of a bigger picture, it brings in the information of that, and that can’t quite be reached without a certain access, a certain going into the depths of something, or basically the holding of something, the maintaining of the two places, a beingness within the two places.

The Union

sexual_energy1Masculine and feminine aren’t just sexual orientations, they are fundamental energies in the universe. And they both exist in each one of us. And, of course, like everything else in creation, they have specific roles to play in the way things unfold. Neither one can be suppressed or ignored; both are needed because they are designed to work in balance and harmony. This fact alone can tell us a lot about what is awry in this world. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

Jeane: In my main dream I feel like I’m a man and I’ve been traveling up the river, and the river has branches that go off it, and I kind of see that more drawn as lines although I also see the river and the river bank. It’s like in the south.

And I’m looking for someone and I don’t know if they’ve been lost, or drowned, or just went down another tributary or what they did, and so I’m backtracking. And then it feels like I ask the name, and when I find out the name of a particular branch on that river, then that tells me where everybody is and how they are. And I’m even explaining this to somebody else. I didn’t realize it was quite that simple: that once you knew the name you kind of had all of the information.

John: The thing that you’re doing is you’re closing in on this idea of a type of completion, and the fact that you are becoming a man and all of that stuff and looking at the energy of the masculine invokes something, because it’s the energy that awakens something in the feminine. It’s the thing that names something.

What you’re doing will pull something together as if the soul has been split because what you are actually seeking is… well, for lack of a better way of describing it, the kundalini energy is the energy that makes the magnetism between the two halves, the two polarities, the above and the below. And when you pull the two together, then you have a spatiality that exists naturally; but until you do that there’s always this groping, or this seeking, or this searching, or this reaching, or this looking. I mean this goes on and on and on and on.

And a person who sees themselves as either masculine or as feminine is going to be afflicted and carry this propensity in their nature, in some regard or another, continuously in terms of the difference between the two places, or the two ways, of being in terms of the above and the below, and that they seem separate from each other. But the soul, per se, somewhere in its completion is not masculine and is not feminine, and comes together as a wholeness.

And when something like that is reached you have this whole sensation of spaciousness from which nothing then touches you, and things are possible that aren’t ordinarily possible – and you have named it. The finding of that, or the reaching of that, so that something like that touches you, has a name. And when you bring yourself into union with it, that union that you bring yourself into leads to that feeling of completion and wholeness, and actually puts you in a place where you’re not therefore bound by the limitations and the issues, that you see around you, that exist in the outer.

There is a way of looking at everything that exists in the outer as having some sort of imbalance in terms of this principle of things coming together. It’s almost as if you could take the big joke of life and you could say that there was a splinter away where something got put into manifestation, you could call that the feminine. And then the masculine was left as an energy that was disassociated from that which was matter, and yet it had to go and had to follow and had to figure out how to make a home out of itself in manifestation – even though it carried the energetic vibration of the will, of the crown. It still had to go and live in manifestation.

It came into manifestation from somewhere else. The other part of itself that is the matter, or the feminine side, is at home in manifestation, recognizing that it needs to be touched by something on high. And thus you have the break where something has been shattered. It’s almost no different than man trying to climb to reach God through the town of Babel, and then getting broken away from that potentiality and possibility, and having to speak all these different languages and such so that some crazy event like that could never happen again because there is this need to have to contend with the condition in manifestation.

So, when you contend with this condition in manifestation you’re contending with the two polarities of gravity. You have something as an expansive polarity that needs to become grounded, and it gets grounded in something that is earthy, or as under the domain of the feminine that’s at home here – but it’s at home here in an amnesia. So, you have these two things going back and forth. And the degree to which they struggle to come back together creates everything, creates all of the illusion, creates all of the karma.

And so, as part of dreaming, you have to take and bring back that reunion. And when you do, and are still in manifestation, you’re free of manifestation and things then work. Or are, so to speak, named so that they work. They are something that you can bring about because you no longer have the disorientation that presides over you.

That’s what you’re dreaming. You’re taking and you’re going outside of the limitations of how your feminine nature is, seeing the qualities from the standpoint of the masculine, a masculine that knows how to name things but still doesn’t mean that it can come into a wholeness and completion and pull the soul together. And when it does, when it completely comes together, what comes together is actually the kundalini energy.

Now, when that kundalini energy is whole and is complete, you’re not then bound by things that throw you around. You exist in a spaciousness that is completely comfortable and whatever is going on around you is what it is, and you kind of understand it as having its process problem, varying from degree to degree, and mannerism and mannerism, and it all has to do with this lack of a proper marriage union of the qualities of the soul that have been splintered and broken off to one side. Isn’t that interesting? It’s funny how we can dream that.

A Joyous Reunion

photo_1As in the outer world, in the inner worlds masculine and feminine aspects have different roles to play. For a natural process to be complete and whole, they need to work together and in balance. Of course, internally, that can be a matter of trust, as shown here in Jeane’s dream. It is a masculine energy that has awakened something, but the feminine energy is the one who must make it manifest in the world. In her dream that struggle appears as a male figure who wants flying lessons from the female, but she’s hesitant because his manner makes her feel vulnerable. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

Jeane: So in my first dream, it’s outside in kind of a desolate landscape. I’m hiding. I’m being hunted down by one or two men, particularly one man who’s very dominant, and they’re trying to capture me because I can fly.

But I’m tired and I can’t fly very high off the ground right now, so I have this sense that they can catch up with me. I’m kind of trying to hide around some ruins of buildings and rocks and things, but it feels like he does catch up with me. But the problem is that one of the reasons he was trying to capture me is because I can fly, and he wants to learn how to fly.

And so it’s kind of a dilemma for me in a little bit of way because if he can fly then, of course, I’m always going to get caught. But on the other hand, I’m not sure he can make it if he can fly, but then if he can fly maybe there might be something that will come out of that, I don’t know. I don’t know how I feel about all of this. I just know that we’re having some kind of a dialogue.

I can show him a little bit about how you fly just from these lower buildings where we are, but I’m kind of looking at him and to really learn how to fly you may have to jump off a cliff. Well, he might fly, and he might not. Is he willing to do that? That’s where the dream kind of ends.

John: So this dream actually covers even what we were talking about a bit earlier. In other words, it’s like you have the feminine characteristic and trait in life that has its own wholeness, and within that wholeness is its sense of presence and power.

However, it is dormant because it is hidden. It requires something to bring it out, to cause it to come out. And when it is subconscious like that, it is subject to things that need to happen, which happen in an outer-world imagery to try to get it to come out of its shell.

In other words, the inner/outer way of seeing it is that spirit energy comes down and touches something in manifestation and, of course, you’re that manifestation, and then that awakens something that can come out then naturally on its own. And when it comes out it embodies, then, that spirit energy so that it is whole and complete. And the dilemma is that when this energy is just pent up in manifestation, even though it’s in manifestation and embodied as a wholeness, but it’s all subconscious so it isn’t able to be its true self as a magnetic wholeness that’s in flow.

This triculating inside where the subconscious is meant to awaken and come out and isn’t, and can’t quite break through, causes the commotion of the idea that the masculine is haunting it, or chasing it, which means the ideas of things that it can’t quite embody and accept, which are masculine in their orientation, is plaguing it.

What the dream portrays is that these mannerisms, these traits, the spirit energy quality that comes through, because that is not 100% complete in and of itself, it requires the feminine to awaken and add to that that which creates the magnetic embodiment – so that the inner now touches and affects manifestation, or creation, so that you now have a joyous reunion.

The feminine that doesn’t quite surrender to the point where it is able to take something like that in and transform it, gets defensive then, as if it’s going to be violated instead. And, as a consequence, is inclined to be dubious and shut things down. And when that occurs, she then isn’t living or own sense of who and how she is, she isn’t embracing how she needs to be embracing things, and therefore she is creating barriers between the inner and the outer.

Judgement, just by conduct, because every energy has something behind it that is valid, but because it’s incomplete and strikes an oddity to her sensibilities, she keeps it separate, keeps things separate, and views the expression as something that’s trying to take something away from her.

And so what you have is a Mexican standoff in which the inner and the outer remain distinctly separate. But your dream is also pointing out that you have made some strides in this area. It doesn’t seem to indicate they’re that significant. In other words, it’s like you can help him, you can help this fly a little bit, meaning not so off the ground but able to kind of come and touch creation and create kind of an over body of it all. You’re able to help that a little, but you’re still determining to what degree that you’re willing to commit.

So what you’re doing is you’re actually taking what is called, as an archetype, a prostitute energy, in which you’re constantly evaluating how it is that you’re inclined to be embracing or supporting, or accepting, and where you have issues yet in this area to work out is where you constantly have the peculiarity that is there, that is chasing you, or haunting you, or you’re attracted to looking at this attention or that attention. And this continues as long as there is a quality in your nature that has, at a deep fundamental level, still this idea of denial.

Which is really interesting because overall you have less of that than the average person who is very clouded in terms of how it is that they’re meant to be in a situation, in other words, don’t know where their groundedness is at, can be overly susceptible. In other words, things aren’t in fluid flow.

You recognize a certain fluid flow that opens up a lot, but the purpose of this dream is to show you that there is so much more that you can bring through, cause to be made aware, enable to be part of an overall flow. And that when you have the neuroses that questions and compromises the spirit energy, that this causes you an energetic deprivation because you are meant to be able to twine all of that. And when you have this energetic deprivation, this is why you continue to roll this same archetype over and over and over again.

In the outer, what shows you that you’re rolling this archetype over and over and over again is you find that you cannot help but be reactive to certain things. And in that reaction you establish a certain bluntness, and in that bluntness there is a cadence of joyousness and heartfulness that gets lost.

What a conundrum, because you don’t solve that by rearranging the deck chairs, you actually weaken yourself if you were to get everything occurring in a way that you would lay it out or prefer it to be, because then that means what you’re doing is you’re taking the spirit energy that is meant to be in a flow, and trying to appropriate it for your sense of well being – as opposed to being able to accept it, and make it into something more.
