Our dreams need to communicate to us in images that we can relate to: homes, families, cars, mountains, oceans, animals, and even pets. These are all things we are familiar with from our life experience, so our subconscious uses them as symbolism for our inner relationships, the way certain aspects or psychologies behave in relationship to the part of us that is mostly in control. Once we understand this means of communication, our dreams can tell us so much about who we are, and who we are trying to become. Jeane: I just remember my last dream. And, in this last dream, I’m at my parents’ house, they’re not there. It feels like my sister and I and some other people are helping clear out the house.

For some reason, my sister and these other two people, and they have a couple big dogs, we’ve got it to where they’re out sleeping in the driveway right now. And I’m in cleaning up some of the rest of the house. And suddenly I remember that the little dog that belongs to my parents, who’s really kind of old and on its last legs, that I took outside, that I haven’t seen it for several days.

So I go out into the driveway where I took the dog, and as I’m walking out there, as I come to the last room in the house, I notice that there’s some little piles of dirt I have to step around. And then I go outside into the driveway where they’ve all been sleeping. And at first I don’t see the dog. And I think maybe the dog’s died and we don’t even know it.

And then my sister and I go over and I find a little place where I’d kind of made a little blanket or something where I’d propped up the dog. Well, right before that I remember that I got on the bed they were all on, and one of the German shepherds that the guests had didn’t recognize me at first and grabbed my hand in his mouth. But then the dog seemed to recognize me and let go.

And then my sister and I go over to where we have placed my folk’s dog. My folk’s dog is really old and it’s almost like some of its body parts have fallen off; it can’t walk anymore. I go over though, and I place my hand on its chest and still can feel a little heartbeat. So I feel like it’s heart wants to beat until my mother, or my parents, come back.

So it’s just waiting for that, even though it doesn’t have most of the rest of its body parts. So I just kind of am listening to his little heartbeat when I wake up.

John: It’s a peculiar dream in terms of how its energetic motif is that of causing you to recognize your intertwinement with all these different parts of yourself.

You start off in your parents’ house where you’re trying to get yourself redeemed from whatever it is that still is a complex in some fashion that keeps you from being free. It is said that offspring have complexes in regards to their parents, because their parents, in terms of what they did to cause them to grow up, inadvertently created energetic effects – a type of spell, you might say, that affected, couldn’t help but affect, because in a roundabout way to the degree to which the parents are clean, the children become something of a reflection of them. And it can even reflect ill-quality mannerisms.

Instead, the parents should be and are meant to see themselves and their children so that they leave the children free. But who can do that? And, simultaneously, this is passed on down. In other words, if a person has had an afflicted upbringing, they propound that affliction into the environment that they are in.

Well, that’s the psychological way that it works. What you’re doing in your dream, that is a cute way of doing it, is you’re just kind of having to notice that you’re in all of these things. You can be in all of these parts in everything that is around you, then you could drop the personal kind of spellbinding me, myself, and I afflictions of things, because you then start pulling for an intertwined whole.

So instead of sitting in a paradigm in which you’re an octave of your parents, and their wounded conditions that have created something that doesn’t have a life, leaves you not able to have a proper unfoldment. In other words, you’re not fully able to be in an overallness, you’re bifurcated in some fashion.

What this then does is it takes the condition and it throws the condition into everything that you look at. In other words, if you go outside of the house, or outside from these conditions into a greater overallness, you will find other parts out there of yourself.

The process of evolvement has a person growing up and then going out into the world on their own. So what they find is their friends, and you’ve done a double octave of friend, you have had the friend who is outside of the house, plus the friend’s dog, what you find as a friend or as a way of life for yourself outside is better than perhaps what it took for you to grow up.

So that dog has more aliveness, so to speak, than the dog of your parents. However, that’s only because you’re under a type of spell. All of it is you, you took on a spell that was like buying into a misconception of what is actually going on, that you are able to, and are meant to be able to, relate to a greater overallness that is outside of your personal self. The dream indicates that you are recognizing the importance of this by the fact that you are noticing the heartbeat of the dog, the parents’ dog.

9owsdesWhen we are caught up in the things we wrestle with in life, it can be useful to ask ourselves: will this matter in a month? If the answer is yes, we ask: will this matter in a year? And so on. Usually, we will reach a point where we will have to admit that, no, it probably won’t matter at that point in the future. If we do reach that point, we can also see that it may not really matter in the now moment. This is a process of letting go that can enable us to find out what really does matter, and where to put our energy. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

Jeane: In the next dream there’s a house that feels like it’s my mother’s house, but she’s not there right now, but many of her things are there. And I have a relative, and I don’t know whether she’s a cousin, or a sister, but she feels a little more distant.

And she and her husband are also living in the house. And they’re going to be moving to another house, a little way down the road. And I’m helping sort things out, which things are hers and which things belong to my mother.

During this process my mother returns to the house, but it feels like she’s somewhat tired, and it feels like my cousin is also tired, so I have more of the responsibility for doing this sorting out. And I’ve sorted out most things and moved those to the new space, the new house. But there are some things that I’m not sure which belong to my cousin and which belong to my mother.

And so I need at least one, if not both, of them to come and look at those things and see if they can distinguish what belongs to whom, and what’s going to go on the move. Some of it I sort out at my mother’s house, and some I go to the new house with my cousin and have her looking at whether something sorted out needs to be brought back, or not. Because that last sorting out seems to have to be done by them. even though I can help because I seem to have more energy.

John: The way that this is similar to the prior dream is the swinging doors, and whether something is over here to the left, or over there to the right, or however that is, now is carried forth in terms of the parts of yourself that are still in need of a knowingness just being naturally there.

And so in a reality or domain in which there are all kinds of conditions, or I should say, things that are happening that are in a multiplicity, then there becomes the need to determine what is what. And, in this particular case, you, in terms of catching up with these components and parts of yourself, meaning your mother and cousin, whatever all there is there, you have to bring that into a wholeness inside of yourself so that you know, and are able to embody, all of that as an aspect of your heart.

Until you’re able to put all of that into your heart, or as an aspect of your heart, speaking now kind of in the metaphysical, spiritual, vibrational sense – when everything is in your heart, there is a stillness – until you do that, there’s like a type of catching up that appears to be how you are inclined to be experiencing it.

This is like a step along the way. It doesn’t get you there because you could be sorting, and sifting, and putting this over in this way, and that over in that way, forever – and still not stop a doingness.

But that is how the alignment appears for a long, long time until you’re able to somehow let go of that quality, which is a type of mental wandering as well, until you’re able to let go of that completely, until you’re able to hone that into an emptiness, you do not actually, then, fully take into account the essence of your stillness, of a beingness, that is a oneness. Instead, you are still looking at bits and pieces, and are affected by how those bits and pieces are, in relationship to how it is that you still see yourself as distinguished in a relationship, and as responsible, in terms of those bits and pieces.

So what you’re describing is a particular state along the way, or a particular level, upon which you are taking into account the wholeness, but taking it into account as having this kind of quality, or effect, yet. You haven’t let go of that. And to let go of that is to go into a whole other level, and that whole other level is a quietness, is a letting-go, leads to the stillness.

spiritual_growth_hormone_by_rozrrIn this imagery, Jeane appears to be getting married and also moving house. Symbolically, marriage speaks of bringing something together or making a connection. And moving points to a shift because a house or home in a dream represents what we are living in, or represents us as a life. Then we can look at the other details of the dream and ask, are there impediments in the way for making this connection and shift? In this case, the answer is yes. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

Jeane: So in my next dream, I’m going to get married, or am considering getting married, but it feels like if we’re having this, the reception or whatever is being held in kind of a circular building outside and they have valets that come and park the car. And the way that they park the car is they take it from you and then they back it up into a space in kind of a circle around the building. And I’m kind of being a little fussy that they park my car near the front so that it’s easy to leave since it’s my wedding, or reception, whatever it is.

And then it feels like I’ve gone from there to this kind of small… initially it looks a little like a trailer, but it’s been very nicely fixed up by my husband and his family, complete with a little high chair because I must be pregnant.

It’s almost like the family was a little anxious about whether I would go through with the wedding or not. It’s like I had to kind of feel comfortable about how the place had been decorated, even though it’s a very small, very simple space with wood floors.

Then when I look around I notice the space has changed and instead of just being this kind of  almost like one room, very plain, but very nice space with the wooden floors and everything, I now see that there are steps that go down that lead to a second area that has a couch that faces a little fireplace. And it’s no longer just a trailer, but it’s an apartment that I had been renting in a building where a lot of people rented apartments that kind of ran into the next apartment.

There’s almost like some division between them, but we’re all shifting, we’re all shifting units over one because the landlord’s remodeling. And my unit still looks the same, but I’m looking around at what’s happening to other people around me and there were two people that were rooming together and the person that originally had the place is going to be keeping it, but the other one is moving on.

I will have this place but I’ve still moved over one from where I used to live. I think that’s about all I remember of that dream.

John: The dream is indicating that in order for you to make the connection, or the marriage, or whatever, to bring it through that there’s a shift that has to happen. In other words, however it was that you had the appearance of how things are, in terms of how you are, in relationship to where you lived, or the house perception, so to speak, of yourself, that has shifted into something different.

You’re rejecting something that had been put together and shaped in a particular way that, for some reason, bothers you now. Is it a rejection, or a realization? You have a shift that you can make, or you can sit in something that has run some sort of test of time in terms of its value or utility to you, and if you continue to accept how that is in terms of how it’s put together, how it’s shaped, this will keep you from shifting.

So, what the dream is trying to say is that there is an attention that you need to catch up with that you need to place your attention upon, that you’d be inclined to miss if you overly indulge in the environment that you’re in, if you tend to see the scenario of that environment as comfortable. There’s a part of you that isn’t comfortable in it.

The dream isn’t indicating that you’ve precisely figured out why it is that it’s not comfortable, or why it is that something is off. And you could very easily disregard what you note as off but, if you do, there also seems to be at hand here something that has to do with a shift.

It’s as if the shift won’t happen if you don’t come to grips with whatever it is that is holding something off.

The first dream kind of drew you forward, but that kind of being drawn out like that led to you coming across and discovering that there was something that you’d lost. In other words, your identity now is stirred up.

So in that dream you seemed to be asking the question, why is it that you’re doing what you’re doing? Something isn’t quite coming through for you, that’s what it is. Something isn’t quite coming through for you.

It’s like saying your feminine nature needs to hear a memo and it’s come to the point where you need to get that memo better than what has been happening so far. It needs to come through clear for identity purposes. And in the second dream, in terms of being able to make the shift that is necessary at this point in time. So there is some memo you’re meant to get.

Hmmm. And of course, if there’s some memo that you’re meant to get that throws the responsibility upon me in some fashion, because I represent that masculine energy that pulls something down as a clarity that then awakens something from a hearing center that completes the loop, or the process, by which then something is energetically entwined and correlated.

But I seem to be not quite getting that memo, either. If I’m not seeing it, how can it be possible for you to see it, would be my attitudinal response if I were to look at myself as having a role in relationship to your process.

In other words, we’re both being challenged in terms of something that is there on an identity level, that isn’t being recognized. Only your dream takes it one step further and indicates that this is important, that there is something about this in which what we are caught up in is holding us back.

We need to subtly recognize whatever it is that we’re caught up in, and realize that some slight letting go or whatever that is, there is a shift that’s necessary that we’re meant to catch at this point in time.

This is a real stretch here. What is it that we’re not getting that we’re meant to get?
