We all have our energetic rhythms, some days we feel bright and strong, and other days we feel weak and vulnerable. But what we may not be as aware of is that those states in us are also attractive to other energies. So when we feel unhappy or angry – or are around people in those states – it is important to have strategies for not staying there too long, ways to uplift our energies again – so the energies that are attracted to those lower states don’t have a long time to gather around us. Being aware of what is attracted to us, energetically, can help us learn to invite and encourage certain energies, and limit our exposure to others, as a safety to ourselves. Jeane: I had trouble with dreaming last night because I was not feeling really well. I remember one dream where it felt like I don’t know what we were doing, but I went over and maybe the car that you had had backed over a cliff. And it wasn’t a really dangerous thing, in a way. It’s more like it had slid down this dirt cliff and come to rest at a place that was above a little village, or something, so I had to go down there and decide how we could help get the car out, and who was going to help us.

But one of the problems I ran into was I had been in a house earlier, in one of the villages, and it felt like they worried about witches, and they wanted to kind of sometimes do something to kind of neutralize women – almost like because they thought women were witches, or they had to do some process. And so were they going to suspect I was a witch, and would that interfere in the way of getting the car up and out of that embankment? That was all I remembered from the earlier dreams, and then this morning I have a dream.

John: See, the theme of the dreaming last night had to do with having a protection, and having an effect, based upon maintaining and/or adhering to a vibrational condition. So when you have a car, meaning yourself, that goes over a cliff and gets into a vibrational spinout, in other words, where it’s reduced energetically to a quality that lacks its usual, or lacks what it could hold onto as a usual dynamic, the consequences of anything that’s caught in a thought-upon-thought collective is something that can be easily seen or visualized. It stands out, and thus you have the image of being vulnerable in kind of an exposed way.

What this is meant to show you is that the protection you have, there is a protection. In other words, thought-upon-thought causes a breakdown of things in which there is an exposure, and consequences that arise out of the exposure. But when you hold onto a vibration that sweeps through the exposure lower-self vibration, there is a protection there. The reason it works that way is, just think of how it is in the outer in which when you are in a state of depressed nature that bad things happen to you, and that when you’re in a state in which your quality of energy is uplifted that things make way for that, things open up for that.

So the portrayal of you being in kind of a collapsing of energetic, to an image of being in an exposed, and vulnerable, position, is because that is what happens when you are not holding onto a quality of vibration that you’re meant to be aware of, and that is when the protections are removed.

In other words, maybe the way to see it is that if you’re in a state of true innocence, like a child is, they have kind of like a type of guardian angel that looks out for them. As you get older, and become more sophisticated, and take on the righteousness of having ideas and vibrations that you’re going to hold onto for yourself, then you exchange what had been a protection for those ideas. And because those ideas have no guidance, really, in them, they are reflective, you are vulnerable to kind of an ill fate.

And thus the image that you have, the image is not predictive or anything like that. The image is just symbolic of the fact that you let go of holding on to a certain space that you are aware of, and, in letting go of that, in exchange, that there is this kind of breakdown which is exaggerated by the image of being like a witch.

In other words, your dream world takes and uses accentuations from some place or spatiality inside of yourself to create a shift, to reveal what the state is that you are in, and that’s revealing the state.

Now, I actually also believe that maintaining something that is a little adrift like that, something where there’s a certain direness, maintaining that long enough, having that infiltrated into the molecular makeup loud enough, long enough, leads to one catastrophe after another. So you’re on the verge of the breakdown kind of way of being, vibrationally.

Jeane: Thanks.

Higher energy is often shown in dreams as some form of money, which is a good analogy for the process of learning to be with higher things. We have all heard the stories of lottery winners going off the rails with their newfound wealth, and that’s because they are unable to ground that kind of “energy” in their being; they can’t control it, so it controls them. This dream shows that scenario in a different way, but the principle is the same: more energy just powers who we are, so if we don’t have solid inner principles, our weaknesses will be powered and we will spiral out of control. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

Jeane: So, in this dream, I’m like the lady that’s the secretary of state on the Madam Secretary TV program. So I’m her, and so I’m newly elected in office, and sometimes in addition to everything that the work demands of me I have to go out and campaign.

Well, in the process of going out and campaigning on my own, I guess I had gone into this one store run by these guys who are having a pretty good time and partying. There’s something about them I like, but I never tell my actual staff, or people at home, or anyone that I’m starting to spend some time with them. It’s almost like I act like I’m going out shopping, but then I go visit these guys who are always partying.

Well, as I come back to the office, that even though I bring back some shopping, I suddenly notice, for instance, that there’s a spike hammer hidden in one wall, and so in spite of the fact that maybe people are going to figure out what I’m doing, now I’m sneaking over to these guys’ houses when they’re partying, maybe I’m even drinking.

And there are people that are beginning to come to visit them, or spy on them, and their house is even shut down one time because it has bugs or something, has an inspection notice on the door. So I’m sneaking in a window to see them. And I know things are out of control, but it feels like I can’t seem to stop myself.

And then I have a boyfriend that comes and visits me, but it feels like I can’t make love with him because I’m feeling too shut down, physically, and I don’t have any control over it. And then there are people that are spying on me, and I know that everything will come out at some point, but, again, I can’t seem to stop how I’m behaving. So everything just feels out of control, and I think that was when the phone rang and I woke up.

John: Well, the thing that you’re going over, and over and over again, is kind of a sensation that something is affecting how it is that you’re able to experience things.

In other words, in a real open state you can experience all kinds of more things than you normally would experience, and you would then be taking into account a greater, and greater, and greater wholeness. And that what you’re contending with is, as you look at that wholeness, you’re contending with how it is that you can control it, or contain it, package it, hold onto it.

And to the degree to which you look at the variables that are happening in a greater context way, and attempt to put them within parameters, is the degree to which you then hurt your heart. And so what the dream is saying is, the dream is saying that what is lacking here is your inability to take this greater overall wholeness, which is more like in the plane of light, and grounding it.

In other words, taking it down into the center of a wholeness, of the Earth quality. And that the dream is indicating that you are affected by this kind of quickened energy, and that it is keeping you from being your natural self, which is grounded. That’s why you can’t make love, or something like that, is because you’re finding yourself affected by more.

Now what is it pointing to? There is one way that enables you to handle this greater overall moreness, and letting go, and that is the quality that magnetizes it and puts it into a vibration like the dhikr. When you’re doing that, you can’t be thinking, and pondering, and looking this way and looking that way, and yet at the same time, when you’re in that, you’re in a greater vibration, more like a light energy, and thus you’re able to take into account more that’s going on – without having to necessarily think about it. The images, the inflections, just come to you naturally.

There’s a certain flushness, or highness, that you feel when it just comes to you naturally. And there is a certain cluttered awkwardness, or tightness, that you feel when you’re all bound up trying to sort something out, trying to understand something, trying to make something happen.

So it’s a roundabout way of you pointing out, to yourself, that the way that you are, and the condition to the way that you’re carrying yourself, is a condition that you’re coming to find is stifling. You know, you can’t expand out, you can’t contract back. What is needed is a greater magnetizing of yourself in a grounded capacity way, and the magnifying, the magnetizing that you’re doing is of kind of a greater overallness, a greater oneness, or the light energy.

That was a complicated dream. I almost wasn’t sure if I could get to it.

iesIf you’ve ever tried to drive with a full cup of coffee you will understand this dream, because, when you try to do that, you suddenly become aware of a hundred bumps on the road that you were never aware existed. For the purposes of the dream, the dreamer is trying to keep an innerness intact, but everything around it, front and back, is trying to disrupt that inner state, all while the inner state is trying to impose itself on the outer situations. This is the struggle of trying to bring our inner life into the everyday of what we do. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

Jeane: My earliest dreams seemed to be more about almost like just forms, and it was like they come together and they shift. I can’t remember that much more about them. It wasn’t like anything was happening as far as people. It just was forms and shifting.

In the second dream, it’s like I’m looking for someone, and I go into an old theater building. I have to go down into the basement and through this kind of maze of rooms, and then I keep going past people but I can’t find the person that I want. I come out the other side, and I decide I have to go over to the next town.

And so I hitch up a horse to a wagon, a horse and a buggy kind of arrangement, and I head over there. And I have somebody else with me now, but then I get distracted, or not distracted, I’m going there, but there’s a man that is behind me that’s trying to pass me, also with a horse and buggy, but he’s trying to make his horse go too fast, and is kind of in that sense abusing the horse.

So I’m trying to get my wagon to block that so that he can’t go so fast that he wears out his horse, or abuses it. And then there’s another horse and buggy that comes in front of me which means I have to slow down a bit, too. That’s okay because I’m trying to get the guy behind me to slow down and even to get him to stop and ride with us, or go at a different pace, because his pace is way off in terms of how he’s pushing the horse. That’s all I remember. It was just a night when the dreams were kind of jumbled.

John: The theme of the dreaming had to do with being able to pull and integrate into a wholeness, into a oneness, all aspects of inner into outer, and the outer effect being recognized as a quality coming from an innerness.

And when you were like looking at that, or contending with that, or in the swirl of something like that not having pulled it through with a clear-cut understanding of where this was all at, what it all meant because you were, in terms of the fact that to properly do this you have to let go of everything, and you weren’t able to let go of everything, because you were affected by the horse, meaning a sense of power in the buggy or whatever, you know one behind going at a peculiar pace, one in front going at a faster pace, you in the middle. In other words, whatever all that dynamic was, and how you were having to cope and relate back and forth to the tug-o-war of something like that, you were not sorting out what that really meant. However, it is better, that’s a better image than sitting completely in an amnesia as if there’s nothing going on.

That image of being kind of in-between things, and frustrated by being in-between things, and it’s almost as if when you’re in that it’s a frustration that seems to have an outer vibrational effect because the buggy in the front’s not acting right in relationship to the buggy in the back.

Take that image, add this following image to it. Let’s say you have a house, and the house has an outer area that is exposed to the public. In other words, it’s what the public can see. The public can’t see the inner sanctums of the house.

So if you have a family in the house that’s protected because something sits in this outer area and is able to contend with the forces of things in this zone in the outer part of the house, and is able to somehow or another sustain its ability to do that, that means that on the deepest of the inner levels everything can appear to be okay.

But what if that outer level gets broken into from the collective on the outer, of which something can be sitting in that outer room that is all properly barricaded and whatnot, and protected, so that the innerness is secluded from it from happening?

See, you with the carriage with something in the back and something in the front, you are in that outer room. Now if the outer room breaks down… First of all, what is this outer room? What is this carriage that is caught by something in the front and something in the back? Essentially this is a zone that you could describe as a place where the dynamic is being played out between the forces of vibration and energy that have penetrated the lower levels of the inner plane, in other words, because you can have a place of a greater quietness.

Now what’s happening, the mistake that’s being made in consciousness, is that a person can go into this place, can be really soothed in this place, and can thereby pull themselves into this greater level or degree of isolation, or a greater inner level. Yet you’re still going to have this outer level, of which there’s an innerness having penetrated it, that is able to keep things hidden. If it’s effective enough it can keep things hidden. So you can have the buggy that’s not right in the front, and you’ve got something pushing from the back, and sitting in between you have an energetic that holds the line.

These shapes all have to come together, and so you have that as your schematic, and then you go into a dream in which what you have as a consequence is this area in-between in which there is a dynamic going on so that the buggy in the front and the buggy in the back, there’s kind of a veiling as a result of the buggy in the middle.

So this leads to a confusion. See, where your dream left off is you saw what it’s like to be in this in-between, but your image wasn’t enough to show that this in-between is a lot like an extension to a house, an extension that is out there in which if anything goes on it goes on against this extension, this kind of zone, and that on the inner of that even is a quietness, is a peace.
