Playing in Life

plandePlaying a game of cards in a dream may seem a simple enough image, but it points out how the process in our unconscious works. In this instance, the game brings in elders, or the dreamers relatives who have passed on. And the game provides a way for those with “ancient wisdom” to interact with the energies at play. Just as we do when we seek to find solutions in daily life, our inner life uses all the information and connections at its disposal to bring separate elements together. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

Jeane: So about that time, too, or even earlier, I had a dream in which the main thing I remember from it is it did seem to have a lot of characters in it of older movie stars, that I grew up with, who were around like Robert De Niro and Dustin Hoffman.

And then I was going and sitting at a round table and playing poker with some of my older relatives who passed on. And I just don’t remember much else about that dream because the colors were kind of dark, and there were a lot of people and little dialogue going on.

John: It’s a dream that has a mix in it, in that you’re trying to mix the energetics that exist in terms of what you are familiar with, in terms of the outer, with the chemistry that occurs from the higher-self part, that’s on an inner level, that is able to affect manifestation.

That’s generally considered the spirit energy that is able to come into a game and, in that game play, and, of course, the game then would be life, and the spirit energy would be this essence of your superiors, or this quality inside of yourself that has a sight about things, a knowingness about things, a depth, an inner depth – on the other side – in terms of things.

Again, it’s like a type of masculine energy. The feminine energy is just having a sensibility of the whereabouts as you are in matter, that the masculine doesn’t tend to have and tends to be askew. The higher self for you has to do with the recognition of sight that comes through that can seem like it’s, well, you call it your relatives, or your superiors, or can seem to be coming from another place outside, other than what is just in manifestation per se, or in matter in your environment per se. And that it has its way of playing in life. It can design. It can shape. It can cause things to be quickened or to happen in life.

So the game itself, and that card playing, is like the action of what comes into the outer which is a denseness in which the spirit energy is unconscious, and it sets in motion an activity, or a consequence, that causes something more to unfold. And what unfolds there is recognized by the feminine as a greater dimensionality in terms of the mystery of the whole. And the whole in this case is both inner and outer.

The feminine is always trying to figure out this and to ponder that in terms of what is going on, and is always interested in information that helps in the seeming sorting out of how it is that things are, as she moves around in the outer. And that comes from this other space like this.

Now, of course, we have all kinds of conceptual ways that we attempt to do this, like going and studying this, or trying to figure out that, or trying to be connected to an unfoldment that has its conceptual borders in terms of trying to engage, studying sciences and such. You have all of these bifurcations and subrogations from what can be just that inner direction.

That inner direction is able like for example to sit around and play cards and in so doing of the sitting around and in the connection like that brought… you know, designed something that touches manifestation. And that part of yourself that can do that, so that it touches manifestation, is something that you have to access in order to change the storyline of manifestation which you are immersed in naturally.

You’re immersed in a way which has the naturalness of both matter and spirit, but not working in cohesion, because the spirit energy is veiled within the matter. And although it is there, you can’t quite reach it, and that’s where this other energy, this other vibration, has to and needs to awaken.

And you are, from the first dream, doing something to keep this from happening that has to do with a venturing out, or an attempt to come to grips with things that involves somehow or another giving up a space, that is important in terms of your rootedness about things in manifestation. And this moving away, the inflection that is not being taken into account has something to do with the kitten, whatever that kitten might be.

A Degree of Relief

dreams1Dream work, and connections to higher energies, are not instant cure-alls. As with anything in life, it happens step by step, as we move closer and closer to what we have aimed our life toward. In this dream, we see that something has opened up, but all the connections and freedoms are not there yet. That’s why it is said that these journeys never end as long as we live. There is only progress and a new elevation to be reached. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

Jeane: In the next dream it feels like I’m with… well, I end up being with my family. We’re visiting some place because we go through one room and it almost feels like it’s being set up for a movie set. And we go through there into another room, but there are windows where we can look back.

And when I look back from where I’m sitting, I notice that the actor, Kevin Bacon, has come and he’s on the other side looking a little bored, trying to get his cellphone or something to work. I’m sitting there on the other side of the window, looking right at him, but I realize that makes him a little uncomfortable. He’s kind of in a little grumpy mood or something, or wants his privacy.

So I move with the others and we go into an area, and it feels like there’s this strange, almost like blue tree that you can climb up in. It has really broad branches so I’ve made myself comfortable. My brother-in-law’s there, and I think it’s my mother. My sister might be somewhere nearby. And we started to play a card game, and the card game will require everybody to discard and I’m trying to figure out some of the rules.

I think I get to pick up their discards, but then I’m going to have to discard, too, and I’m excited because I must have been dealt almost every ace in the deck in my hand. But we have to get down for a minute, and I put my discard and the good part of my hand, which I’m still sorting out, down. It seems like I have to go do something.

Then when I come back, I can’t find my hand and I can’t tell what was discard and what’s my cards, so we move out of that area to another area where I think we’re going to sit down at this table to play cards again. But at a table will be a little easier, but then I think we’re setting it to eat. And then one of the people that almost is dressed like a stewardess comes up to me and hands me something, and I guess it would be something that would allow me to be introduced to, or connect with, Kevin Bacon, because she was thinking I actually wanted to hook up with him. But I explained that, no, I actually quite like his wife. She’s the actress in one of the programs I really like. I just was watching him.

That seems to be most of the dream. There wasn’t anything specific in it, in a way.

John: This takes the prior dream and it advances it to where you’re having to contend with, to experience and roll around in, the aspect or quality that is kind of a weight or burden upon you. So in this dream there is a sense of relief from being able to look at it, but you’re still veiled from it, you’re still looking from outside of a glass.

But the sense, the fact that you can acknowledge it, that you can recognize it, gives you a certain degree of relief, enough so that you could have moments of free flow in which the quality upon which you can absorb or handle things is more readily a part of your nature. However, you’re not completely out of the woods with the thing yet. I mean seeing it is one thing, living it is another. You can’t get presumptuous assuming that being able to look at it has gotten rid of it for you. However, there isn’t the awkwardness. Still, something is in the way, but it doesn’t have the thickness and awkwardness of the first dream.

The whole process there at the center was a big jolt to one’s system because it had such a depth and revelation to it, and introduced the idea of what one does to put spells on themselves, and that one lives, irregardless of how they would like to live, that you live in a state where that is what goes on. Because things come through wherever they come from as parts of yourself, or even as parts of something that can seem foreign to yourself that invades that space.

The teacher says that you can allow access to yourself in terms of something coming in and affecting you from the other side, that gets in the way of how you are, and takes on a life of its own, through you, which keeps you from catching up with the essence of who you are. In other words, it’s like everything is vying for the heart, and you were in everything. And some aspect of something interrupts or interferes with the process in terms of how you’re able to be properly, truly inclusive. It throws you a quandary, and it’s a quandary based upon that which is… the way I look at it, that which is repressed, that which is unconscious yet. And when you go through something as dynamic as what occurred yesterday, that opens you up and enables things to happen.

Some of that swallows you up again, that’s been repressed, that has to be dealt with, that has to be taken into the heartfulness of your being in a way that releases that from its overbearing effect upon you. However, because there isn’t enough freedom or love or quality of the heart to contend with that, you find yourself trying to sort it out. And in trying to sort it out, you are negotiating, using the mind, and you veil yourself, you create a coldness or a heaviness upon the heart as a consequence of that.

Even though you see it, doesn’t mean that you are relieved of it. But it’s a big step to be able to see it when before it was totally unknown to you, and unconscious, and was still steering you around and you were helpless to its effect. Now that you see it, it is, as the teacher would say, like something coming in from somewhere else on the other side. It was always part of your makeup. It was just more submerged or unconscious. Now that it’s more present, it has a more abhorrent energetic behind it in terms of what it’s doing to you as a kind of obviousness that hadn’t been there before.

This is why something like true meditation is so wonderful because as you take and you experience the principle of an opening and openingness of the heart and you hold that, you cherish that, the space around you is able to accommodate with a quality that resonates accordingly, that accepts accordingly, that exudes accordingly. And as something like this gets really, really present a technique in the breathing is that you can even stop the breathing for a second and pause and feel it triculate there.

However, any trying has you breathing and has you trying to feel it and being removed in some capacity or another, or aloof to it. When it’s really there, when you’ve really broken through, it’s a still point. Even in terms of the breath, it’s a still point; you’re holding a still point.

This is kind of like the bigger subject matter of it all.

A Transformative Effect

HigherSELF-2These dream images continue from Jeane’s dreams yesterday (see The Threshold of Complexity), where she was working with a deeper realization of how she needs to be to bring higher aspects into life. This thread continues and, as you’ll see, the rules of the game are different now. And that is as it should be, because change requires that we find new ways to be with what we are opening up inside – because it has its own requirements. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

Jeane: Then in this next scene it’s like I’m with you and a group of people, and it almost feels like we’re in the living room of my dad’s house, but the setting doesn’t quite feel like that, just the floor does. We’ve gone in and we’re sitting on the floor.

I think in this room there may be a fireplace, too, and we’re going to play a card game. And I’m kind of excited because I like to play cards. And the group of people we’ve sat down with are pretty sophisticated, and there’s a woman there who has actually decided she’s going to tell us what the rules for the game are, and she’s changing it from the type of card game that I was familiar with.

You’re sitting a little bit behind me. I’ve laid a bunch of nines and maybe a few eights down, almost like you would in gin rummy, and then I pick a few up because I realize if you put all of your cards on the floor you could lose a few to other people until you see what’s going on.

So I put some of them back in my hand. Then she passes out these books, and they’re lightly bound books. They’re kind of like fold-over lightly like they don’t have hard covers, and we’re supposed to, as part of the game, we’re supposed to go through these books and then I think pick out, or tear out, pictures that represent a certain type of aliveness. And that’s what we’re going to play with in the game.

This is different than what I thought the rules would be. And I have a book but I realize the types of things that I’m picking out are pretty different from what other people would pick out, like I found this picture that it looks almost like the African veldt, or whatever you call it, in the background, and it has these exotic animals in it that I don’t even think are from this planet.

There are a couple other things that I’m drawn to, but I’m not willing to pull them out of the book because it seems like there’s something about tearing the book, or the pages in the book, because my pictures cover like two pages that come together, that I’m reluctant to do that to a book.

John: Now you’re changing this evolvement in terms of how something is to come out into a quality that has an alchemical nature to it.

In other words, to begin with you sit down and you’re holding something that has come together. In other words, the floor feels like that of your father, which means that it’s in a balanced place, balanced setting, at least in terms of a groundedness – although it is still somewhere, in terms of the appearance, other than that – of somewhere else.

So this gives it a sense of something that’s ready to be visualized because it has the sight to it grounded, the floor of a house of your father. However, because the setting isn’t familiar to you, that’s why the game changes.

In other words, you start off and you’re able to lay down your nines and your eights, which are very expansive higher-self quality traits, eighth and ninth parts of your chakra, you pull them back up because you realize that if you just go laying things down as soon as you grasp it that this can create or cause some sort of – and this is a questionable challenge – are you limiting what is integratable, or are you maintaining something that is still building inside that needs yet to come about?

I mean, you can’t tell because that trait is both positive, in one way of looking at it, and negative in another. Negative in that it can restrict the intertwining that can happen in a game. It’s positive from the standpoint that it can enhance something, too. It can magnify something, too, by not blowing one’s wad straightaway.

Well, as you take and hold the cards back, you’re holding these cards back almost as if there is an instinct to something more because now the game starts to change, in terms of the dynamic of what the game is about – which is the nature of things in the outer.

As you hold, or catch up with, a vibration and you reach a realization, and the holding of these cards back is a type of realization, or recognition, of something, that this means you’re taking back upon, or within, yourself an understanding or a meaningfulness that then can be absolved, or absorbed, or transformed in some fashion.

And that’s the alchemical trait because now the game, what is really going on, changes. And you’re still in the game, so you’re going to be approaching it with a mannerism that is going to be different.

The dream doesn’t describe what the mannerism is going to be like, at least not this phase, but it points out that it’s no longer as literal as a game of gin rummy or something, that it has a different kind of magic to it from the standpoint that that which caused something to be of interest and excitement from the past now, once caught up with, is going to have an effect, a transformative or changeable effect of what it is really about somewhere else.

This is alchemy again. It’s the transformation of energies that normally would have a type of quality of limitation, or holding something back. And when you catch up with it, then you don’t continue the projection in other myriad ways –  and that makes you kind of… for a woman that makes them magical. For a man it would make them like a wizard.

Jeane: So in this last scene, it’s like you and I have gone to a room where we’re staying. It almost feels like a basement room. We’ve gone there to our bedroom.

We’re sitting on the bed across from each other, fairly close, and you’re saying to me that you think I’ve said that I want our sex life to improve, or deepen or something, and I say, no, that I said that I wanted us to go deeper in our intimacy, or in our connectedness or something, that I was speaking about a different level.

John: Which is how that is. Yeah, the sex life per se is transcendent.

In other words, it’s something that is given to man, or that man catches up with, and seems to be part of life itself, but is more than what they can assimilate or handle. And that’s why you have all of the problems, in terms of relationships, that you have, because a relationship that is just based upon something like that attraction and magnetism and such, and that alone, per se, ends up, in terms of what that sets in motion, ends up not being able to handle the aspect of this that is over the top.

In other words, the sexuality and the magnetism of things is both on this side, and on the other side. And, of course, it’s essential as part of the idea of procreation, but it’s kind of like one of those things where a veil has been slightly lifted, too, because behind that is a whole deeper essence.

It’s kind of like a corridor into something much more, and you’re recognizing, or have a sense, that this being a corridor into something more means that there is a depth or a deepening that needs to happen.

It’s not the conduct or the action, per se, which leaves one thrown around, and confused, and bewildered because of the commotion of emotion or something, that this, when it deepens, finds an enrichment that reaches to something way beyond the mere act of the human condition, or the animal condition, quality trait.

And that’s why kundalini energy is said to include the sexual activity of which there’s that one third that’s like on this side, but it opens up the two thirds, or helps, and is an aspect of something much greater in terms of where it goes.

That’s why it’s considered part of kundalini energy and you have to have that energy in order to have a realization and recognition to this greater being of yourself that you have, and are, which lies hidden, or dormant, and is veiled by the appearances around it.

So it’s almost like that last image is trying to evoke, and shows an understanding that’s being evoked, shows an impulse that comes through an awareness center on your part. It’s like a sorting out aspect, or a sorted out aligned aspect, because there was a part of the dream in which you felt you didn’t have to wear what you were baking.

In other words, you had the part where you were being challenged to have to live something, and then of course you have the part in which this has to go deeper. You also have the component at the very beginning in which there was a type of displacement that you’re able to catch up with, the displacement being a hiddenness versus an obviousness.

And that hiddenness versus an obviousness even has something to do with whether something is able to be lived or not lived. And then, ultimately, in your final image, the putting together of the characteristics into a greater wholeness leads to a deepening that is a driving aspect of the process.

So you’re laying out a whole schematic. There is something that can’t be withheld. In other words, it’s like almost as if there’s no choice in the matter, because it’s too much to contain unless it is somehow more out there, lived and more out there, in a sense, where it flows through one.

It can’t be pent up. And that one then reaches a deepening process as a consequence of all of those components put together. It kind of like is laying out an A, B, C book, isn’t it?
