CriWe have seen chase dreams with narrow escapes, and images where everything is coming together just as needed. So, if we are all the characters in our dreams, what do those two opposite experiences say about us? That we’re complicated, and that we have many pieces that really just want to be part of one thing. Yet to get there, we sometimes have to chase and catch, we sometimes have to woo, we sometimes have to invite in politely. In other words, some parts of us are more wounded or wary than others, and bringing them in from their separate or alienated state is something our dreams are trying to help us do. Jeane: So, as the dream continues, I go to a counseling office where I’m starting work and the clients I have scheduled, at a certain time, don’t show up – and I’m somewhat concerned. One of them does phone, I think it’s a very brief phone call, or maybe there was just a message left, because I can tell that it’s not just one man but it’s two, that they’ve been traumatized maybe by war, and they drink, or do something. And I do want to get them into the office to be seen, but they’re very suspicious of coming into any agency, or working with anyone. I can’t even get the one to talk to me.

And I’m kind of pondering all that because I was working in the office and doing paperwork, but it feels like I don’t really see any clients that day and I’d had them scheduled, but they didn’t show up.

So I leave there and I go somewhere else, and when I’m at this other building one of the two of them shows up. The other one I feel like is out in the hallway somewhere, and I’m able to have a bit of a dialogue with him and set it up so they will come in. And I want him to bring his friend in for regular counseling, but I’m also explaining that if they come to counseling they have to come to counseling sober, you know at least for that time, because otherwise it’s like if you’re drinking you just retain what you learned when you’re drinking. You’d forget it when you got sober.

I’m trying to explain a little bit to them. and I’m trying to get him to get his friend through his paranoia about coming in to any room, or any agency, and getting it set up for them to come in. And I know that in some ways when they do come in they’d want to overwhelm you with how long they’d want to be there, and so I’m also trying to set some limits that there’s only so much you can take in at one time, you know, that we would have to have time limited appointments. It just feels like I’m trying to explain to them how that works.

John: So you’re describing the process in which you come to understand that there is a means of moving around, this moving around – which is really inside of yourself, but you see it as over a distance and such – upon which you can come to catch up with a deeper aspect, or essence, of what is real, or what the realness is.

And you tend to be inclined to viewing it as something that you access, or aspire to accessing, as opposed to it just being naturally there inside of yourself to be reached, or discovered, or unveiled, or unfrozen, or whatever the capacity is that one does, to justify sitting in an amnesia.

You then progress this to the point where you’re looking at parts of yourself that you need to somehow cater to, that you need to somehow or another assist or to help, that you need to somehow or another embrace. That it’s not sufficient that you take and have a depth that you can reach, or find, inside of yourself – it is meaningless unless it is something that can go and touch, and reach, all parts of yourself that are still astray.

And, of course, these are parts of yourself that you see need to take a step forward: that they need to show up for guidance, for counseling, for help. But then you come to realize that these parts of yourself that don’t show up, to the degree to which you’re not taking and closing the gap, that it’s not that easy, that you have to proceed to that, you have to go out of your way to touch that, to find that, and that when you do you’re bringing something together at the same time. That’s why it’s said that a teacher finds the student and, of course, this applies on a lot of levels.

Well, in your dream, that is kind of what you’re doing when you take and realize that you can get off of a certain pedestal and go and find, seek out, reach out to the parts of yourself that aren’t showing up. In other words, yes, you can take a position where you can expect it to come, but that doesn’t always work in that there are times when you have to reach out in order to touch something. And that’s why it is said that, it may look different, but the teacher being a proper teacher is actually selecting or going to the student. You know, it’s not that the student is clamoring to the teacher. That’s an illusion. It’s the teacher that’s making the accommodations always for the student.

That principle, if you were to sum it up in a word, for it to be effective it has to be invisible, or otherwise the student might get to thinking that there is something going on that’s important in terms of themselves, or something, and go off into a head trip or something on a spiral. So the teacher is most effective if they follow the principle; in other words, having the means and the ability to love without leaving traces. And that’s half of it. The other half, of course, which applies in a different way, is to fly without leaving a shadow.

So your dream, when you put that whole thing together, shows that you’re meant to have a means to connect to something deep, deep, deep inside and you just need to come to know that that is a wholeness that comes from you, you don’t go seeking it out somewhere. And when you catch up with that, recognized that way, then you exude it into the environment. You don’t expect the environment to change to your predilection. You exude it into however and wherever you put your attention.

It’s kind of like your pleasure to do that because you found it in the whole. You realize that it’s all the whole, and you realize that there isn’t two things going on, so you touch in that fashion, naturally, which is the principle of loving without leaving traces, flying without leaving a shadow, a shadow of some separation or something being kind of the motif behind it all. It’s not that behind it all. There are no shadows. It is just one thing, and one thing only, having a relationship with itself.

And so you took and you went from a kind of overtness, a kind of separation, or distinction, where something is expected to come just because you are still somewhat linked to the idea that you have to go somewhere in order to learn something. Therefore if you’re counseling that something has to come to you – instead of realizing that you are able to do this constantly, as opposed to conditionally.

aurasWhen we talk about energetic connections, which are the fundamental pursuit of a spiritual journey, it is important to remember that they are not “us.” Energies we connect to can act through us into the world, but the idea that “we” are doing something turns it back into an ego practice. In the same way, a healer will not last long by taking on the ills of the clients, thinking that they are doing the “healing.” We can only offer such energies access through us by our higher intentions. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

John: So in the dream, it starts off where I take a vehicle to a service station. The car is low on its essential fluids, so to bring the car up to optimal performance the car is connected to another vehicle which, upon it having higher fluid levels, it levels it out so that there’s an equilibrium then between the two. And then my car is then able to be brought into further alignment. But first of all it had to be brought up to a particular point before anything can happen.

The attendant says this takes a lot out of the other car because it blends the fluids and, in doing so, has to be refreshed afterwards to bring itself back to optimal performance.

This is an example of the limitation of a consciousness in which the teacher, who is empathic, weakens themselves when they take on the person, or student, to try to help them, and take on their karma for example, and then have to retreat themselves to restore themselves after doing this.

In other words, apparently this approach, everyone starts there in terms of opening up and becoming more sensitive. You become more empathically correlated, and this is the danger that you can get sucked into the lowest common denominators around you – when you take and lose a particular energetic to try to facilitate something else.

You start doing it that way, but you learn that that doesn’t work that way successfully. It can lead to cults and stuff where a teacher gets good at that. A little bit like what we were looking at with this whole thing on L. Ron Hubbard, the way they were trying to portray it, where everyone around L. Ron Hubbard had a certain psychotic mannerism to them, and L. Ron Hubbard even had his little psychosis in terms of how he worked with derelicts in terms of trying to understand something and write something down, and would go in and out of the psychosis himself as a process of trying to learn – which was sick because a good teacher will describe this sort of thing as stealing a person’s light.

And so the next part of the dream points out how a consciousness that was limited to this understanding is meant to evolve, in other words, to come into its real potential.

And in this part I get in an elevator. There are three other people that get in the elevator, and I am quicker than them in the sense that I push the down button for the ninth floor when I meant to push the up button for the ninth floor. And because I pushed the down button first, the elevator goes down.

And, of course, everyone might wince a little bit because everyone that got on knows that we all wanted to go up, and now I’ve somehow goofed up and it’s going down. And of course they’re going to higher floors than the ninth.

But all of a sudden when this thing rejiggers itself, I somehow do something else that misdirects the elevator and, this time, one of the passengers that very quietly, one that never showed any symptom of being reactive, who has gone to special schooling and knows this sort of thing more so than the other passengers, in other words is less frictional tense, quietly steps forward. When she turns her attention to the elevator buttons, a panel comes alive, and something comes out like a miniature computer. And she not only sets the floor for each person, but the music to be heard there, and on and on she goes, the temperature and everything you could possibly imagine. And she does this for each person according to their taste and their predilections, as if she just naturally knows this. And it’s part of heightening their being and consciousness in the process.

So the meaning is that the idea that consciousness is a function of absorbing only, and then restoring one’s self with a retreat by the teacher after an event, may be how it works initially, but now how it works at a more advanced level. After the mirrored approach, and having to go into the depths of one’s self over and over again, there comes a time when direct perception is possible. The second dream portrays this.

You no longer are affected by the lowest common consciousness denominators in creation, and are instead free to inflect directly with the essence. To be like an absorbant vacuum cleaner only, that’s how it kind of is initially in an empathic way that tends to pull down the other part of your higher self along with this effort of lifting up. In other words, that’s intertwining without proper boundary controls. That Star Trek movie that showed the empath, I don’t know if you remember that, where she would weaken herself to such a degree she could almost kill herself in order to heal something. In other words, that’s an exaggeration. And of course, that whole thing then taken into a spiritual path like that L. Ron Hubbard movie showed that.

So, by having this dream, I could see it is like this to begin with because we are created in an image of God, who is in everything, and as we come to know this, and haven’t acquired boundary controls yet, we are readily affected and infected by others. There comes a time in the mirroring process where we are able to remain in the knowable essence and be in manifestation as a perfect mirror. When this state is reached, we are able to constantly reset consciousness around us to the highest possible frequency for everyone able to receive accordingly.

cloud-light-breakthroughIn the outer world, we have teacher and student. In the inner world of dreams, we have one aspect of us trying to teach another aspect of us. And the process is the same. We often forget that we are many things and operate on many levels. Certain aspects of us are much smarter and more knowledgeable than others – and I don’t speak of the brain here. Part of what we strive to do is to get all these parts to understand, and get aligned with, what the best of us already knows. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

John: I didn’t want to write this one up because it came before these other two and it didn’t make any sense to me at the time.

The image was that you were standing—you were off in another area that I could see. And you had kind of a wrap around you that denoted that you were holding a space. And you were holding the space regardless of how I was.

Apparently, in other words, what this image was, you had shown me something, and I hadn’t accepted it. And what you had shown me was true and I still hadn’t accepted it. I was doing some sort of pout, or righteousness, or who knows what tangent I was on.

Well, because what you had shown me was right, was true, if I’m going to be that way, then you have to hold the space. You’re not going to go into my derivation of weirdness—density—I can see you off in a distance maintaining that, holding that, keeping the purity of that.

And just seeing you holding that space of something that is here to be made known, as a realness, that somehow or another affects or touches me and I slowly am able to let go of whatever tangent I’ve gone off on. I’m able to let go of that and come to recognize that you’re right.

Now this is the same principle that works between a teacher and a student. The teacher holds that purity, or that state, and the student goes through all these antics and the teacher continues to maintain that note.

If the teacher bought into any of these antics, then that would just intensify the density of confusion for the student. But because the teacher holds the subtle note of what is true, and the student, somewhere inside of themselves, hears the echo of that, then the student is able to grow by that process.

That presence is called a type of darshan and the need seems to exist in life, because a person can’t extricate themselves on their own, the need exists where there has to be something as a principle, as a manner, or process, upon which a person vibes off of, like a type of tuning fork—a tuning fork of purity, a tuning fork that stays in the overall in spite of the antics of other things that are constantly dancing around in their prerogatives, and ego, and self-image, and all of that.

That is what a teacher is in relationship to a student, holds that so that it functions as a go-between. So that the student then sees that and then from that, is able to, so to speak, be transported to what is real.

But they see it by way of—I hate to use the word example because examples and stuff like that are used in terms of trying to work on the principle of increasing one’s understanding in terms of mind/sense/ego reality, but no, you see that in relationship to heart-to-heart, or soul-to-soul, and that deeper knowingness comes through and that’s what effectuates the change.

So, the dreaming last night had to do with the process, the ways, in which you access what is important. Now, I’ve heard it said that if you could naturally do this, you wouldn’t even need to meditate. But we can’t naturally do this and that’s why we meditate.

That’s like a tool, and that’s why we hold onto the dhikr, that’s why we have prayers of protection, in some instances. That’s why there are all of these avenues to try to break through the rust, to get us so that there is this flow that comes through.

So, you might say that what took place last night, took one into kind of a world that is hard to report in terms of dreams anymore, but one is more directly getting information out of the sound and you can’t prove it, that you’re doing that, because you can’t bring that into the ego mind outer, to where it makes any sense, other than how I tried right now.
