orderlyIn Jeane’s dream, she and a female friend are escaping on horseback, at night, because something has torn the country apart. Yet it’s interesting to note that she isn’t fearful or in a panic. Instead, the imagery shows that she is protected, supported, and provided for in her journey. In other words, she’s not alone. As humans we need to trust more that we are never alone: the universe supports us when we support it.(At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

Jeane: In this dream, I’m a young girl, and I’m friends with another young girl. And it feels like we live on ranches that maybe are near each other and ride horses and everything.

And then it feels like something has happened that has kind of torn the countryside apart, and so we’re going to have to sneak from where we are, and even take maybe a couple of the horses most of the way, and ride to a high ranch area where we feel like things will be safer – but we have to do it at night.

We have to go by night so no one can see us, so we don’t get stopped, or captured, or whatever, and make it to kind of the high country, but there’s maybe another smaller ranch or cabin or something up there so we can take the horses a lot of the way.

Other times we seem to be on foot. One of the things somebody has given us to help us at night, in the moonlight, is I think they killed a couple of white rabbits. And it was just a really good thing to give us, because with the white rabbit what you could do is it’s almost like you had the dried meat to eat, and then you could take the rabbit skin and you could put it over your head and if there was snow or things out in the moonlight people couldn’t see you.

And then of course it was real easy to carry, too.

John: So, in some sort of overall responsibility that you have, in other words, because you’re working in conjunction with a friend, who also has and is part of another ranch, which means that you’re working not singularly, but in conjunction with another part of yourself, and that it works best that way.

I mean, it’s kind of like what is being spoken about at the conference and also in terms of the group. And when you act and work in conjunction with that, you’re able to bring a power through, and the horses represent power. You’re able to move the horses across.

And even though it seems like you’re doing it sneakily, at night, it’s under the power of the full moon, and it’s supported. It’s supported so that you don’t have the usual fears. In other words, you have the magic of the rabbit and one thinks about the magic of the rabbit’s foot, but the way you describe the magic of the rabbit is it serves two purposes.

Not only does the rabbit feed you in some capacity with its quality, which is a quality that’s able to breed something into life in a very quick way, but it also provides you some sort of strength or power to be invisible – but it’s doing it in a catalytic way.

So the real power, of course, the power that is really important to the overall, is represented by the horses that you’re able to move. Horses always represent power, and that the thing that you are required to recognize is that you have to work in conjunction with the group, or with others, or with the order of things in life.

You have to work in conjunction with that. You don’t do this all by yourself. And that when you connect like this, and of course what this dream is talking about, is a coming together and a connecting with a linkage, or flow, that you’re part of in a bigger schematic. Because you have a place, and this other that is part of you has its place, and the combination of those two things coming together enables something to be able to happen.

Well, you’re shown that you don’t have to fear because you have the sustenance that you need, you have the full moonlight so the darkness isn’t that big of a problem, and you have the means of being invisible when it’s necessary to be invisible in terms of those forces that could try to stop you. You can cover yourself, in other words, with the rabbit that’s in total white and be invisible, which means that you’re actually working with light.

And you’re able to do this by way of working with light, which you would not be able to do if you kept feeling that you had this burden to have to take on all on your own.

Jeane: It felt like there’s one point when the little girl and I come to a series of almost like either very small houses, or a little trailer court where they’ve settled in like houses, and we have to kind of sneak through the yards, just the two of us. We don’t seem to have the horses then.

She starts to go one way and then I redirect her to an area where I think that if we go through there we’ll be less seen. Then at the very last it feels like she and I have to go again, I think on foot. It’s almost like the horses have gone ahead of us at this point and we have to kind of go up a very steep hill or mountain a little bit, kind of helping each other kind of get up through that in the moonlight.

I think that was when the dream ended. When we got to the end of that we would be where the horses were.

John: So a process is in flow in the end that you have to keep up with, that you’re not going to be able to keep up with if you rely just on your own devices. And the interesting thing is, to have a dream like this must have created some sort of vibrational dilemma in you that you have to do it this way, right? You were contained or pressured? Did you not face a heebie-jeebie conundrum inside yourself, and then this is what you saw?

Jeane: Maybe.

John: How did it leave you feeling?

Jeane: Well, it was kind of in-between. You didn’t like that everything had fallen apart and we’re having to do this trip kind of over the high mountain area to survive. On the other hand you had your friend and the rabbit, and I was really appreciative of the rabbit.

John: So, in your case, you weren’t struggling with it then. You were just recognizing that this is how it appeared to have to be, huh?

Jeane: Yeah, and you had to be careful. It wasn’t without its dangers, but you had this help and I’m just really appreciating the help.

John: Well maybe it’s just the masculine that feels this responsibility, or duty, and fear or whatever. You know, all the heebie-jeebies about things. Maybe the feminine just sees that this is the way to go and maybe this is what the teacher means when he says that the feminine is just more able and capable of coping with what needs to unfold and flow in life.

It is easier for the feminine to do that. Maybe that’s what he means, because what I did, what’s going on with me seems very, very difficult. And even though I can sense what’s about to take place, a part of me just refuses to accept it.

It’s like the feminine can just see the natural order of things, realize that it needs to come in conjunction and alignment with a friend, needs to move these horses at night, needs to accept the conditions as they exist, is supported by what it takes because it’s following a flow, in other words it has the rabbit and the stuff.

And all of that is important for procreating something into life that’s important to be procreated into life, and that this occurs with a kind of a power, and that power is something that you’re able to follow, or keep up with, as long as you bring yourself in conjunction with the flow that is there for you to bring yourself in conjunction with.

That’s why I ask the questions, whether this left you feeling this way or that way or whatever, because the masculine struggles with how to bring something through. I guess it’s just a different dilemma. It’s harder. They suffer more. They don’t know what to make out of things.

The feminine just seems to know what that flow needs to be, and the masculine, in its struggle to understand, creates one heck of a mess for itself.

Jeane: This dream takes place in an indoor high school stadium. A group of us (students) have been working with teachers to learn how to drive teams of horses around the ring. We’re dressed up in different outfits, like band uniforms, and everyone is doing a different performance as they go around.

However, on the evening of the actual performance, in front of the parents, we are on our own – the teachers won’t be guiding us.

At some point the horses stampede and somehow I get off just before that. I’m not sure if it was because I didn’t have the right uniform, or what was going on, but I stepped aside at that moment.

A few of the horses stampeded and a few girls got thrown on the ground. One of the girls ran over to rescue her boyfriend and I realized that that was how her parents found out she had a boyfriend. Things became more chaotic toward the end of the dream.

John: It’s an unusual image that shows how a person is taught, or schooled, or given an alignment from their higher self (the teachers). In other words, you are taught, or given something, in practice, which then needs to be taken into life, or into Creation.

When you get a knowing, or an understanding, from the higher self (the training), you then take that inner knowledge into the outer world (the performance in front of the parents). In the outer world you then have to contend with the reflections, i.e., everything’s reactions to what you are doing. In terms of these inner processes it’s like trying to control a team of wild horses.

Symbolically, horses often represent a quality that needs to catch up with the higher-self essence, and we see that higher-self essence, when acted out through the lower self, i.e., brought down and through into life, can run a bit wild, or be hard to control at first.

So the training and educating that you’re going through on an inner level has to do with getting to the point where you can carry what you receive from your higher self down into Creation (into life) and have an effect on the outer half – in a controlled way. There’s meant to be a one-to-one correspondence between the inner and the outer.

We’re designed to process from inner into outer in this way, but if we don’t listen to the signals (teaching), then we do nothing with it in our lives. That amounts to a loss for Creation.

Yet if we begin to listen and then manifest it into life, it can have the initial appearance of wildness or of something being astray. In other words, from the standpoint of the teachers you’re out there dealing with raw energy – wild horses – and the refinement of it can leave something to be desired.

But it’s fundamental, in terms of Creation. Certain higher essences can’t come directly into life, they have to be processed through a human life and added to Creation in that way.

The chaos represents a process of trial and error where you are shown how far you have to go before you can “tame the horses.” It’s self-correcting, but you have to try to recognize how you are amiss.

Once something new is brought through into Creation, Creation can know that part of itself. So the ability to give expression in the outer plays a role in facilitating shifts and changes in life. It enables Creation to take a step forward.

It’s actually quite a profound process. Who would have guessed that if you can bring higher essences right down into life, you can touch something that then triggers an unfolding of new possibilities that, in a sense, were unknown to Creation. That’s an incredible and important service that the human can provide. From our higher self and through our lower self, we can come together with Creation – we can be One.

In Creation there is an ongoing process with the human. It begins with a relationship, which leads to a union, and a union leads to completeness and wholeness.

So the theme of the dreaming has to do with taking an energetic and coming back straight into life in order to cause Creation to be able to take a step, or realize something, that wouldn’t ordinarily be possible.

It’s said that Creation, which is feminine, has to forgive the masculine in order for it to get a glimpse of the insight of the transcendent. But it also works the other way around, where that which comes down and touches life has to come all the way down into the physical, which can be painful.

It’s easier to stay in the light than to come all the way down, but this part of the process needs to be done. So you were dreaming the part that had to do with holding a space in Creation, or trying to function in Creation, with this energetic that you had been taught or learned. One of the aspects of this path is to receive from Creation and then hand it right back into life.

John: So, what’s the meaning of the dream described in Hide and Seek? First of all, the scene shows me hiding right in the middle the trail that my pursuer is using, and even though I’m right there, I’m not exactly visible. But my presence there is knowable by sense and intuition – by the vibrational feel.

So, by hiding on the path and working with the energetic of the hidden, it represents a kind of playing with the other side. There’s a type of magic to it, and there’s also a “red herring” element in the way the energy is being portrayed.

A red herring is an attempt to divert attention by offering up a seemingly obvious choice so you’ll miss the real aspect. So I’m lying right in the path, but under the straw. It should be obvious, but I’m counting on the limited senses of my pursuer to help me get away with it.

In order for this trick to work, the result has to be in accordance with a larger purpose of the Creator and Creation. In other words, that larger purpose makes the decision. It instinctively or intuitively knows, and I have to trust in my natural sensitivity and awareness.

If I don’t have that trust, then I will try to affect the way the scene unfolds – between my hiddenness and my pursuer. When I do that, I will change the energy of the situation, and thereby create something that is much more perceivable.

So, how is it possible that I might pull this off and escape? What I need to do is trust in life in a consciously energetic way; I need to embrace that. It’s about trusting Creation.

The rider of the horse that’s pursuing me is using his senses and his mind, but the horse has a different kind of awareness – it’s connected to life. In this dream it’s not the rider that will find me but the horse that can give me away. Yet because of it’s natural connection, the horse will know that something is under the path and will just step around it.

To give an example of this, people have seen a small baby crawl out amongst wild horses, just crawl around between their hooves. The horses walk around the baby and never step on it, because the baby’s in a state of total innocence and they’re in a state of knowing.

The real danger is when the mother becomes aware that her baby is out there and her stress and alarm upsets the naturalness. These are wild horses and yet the baby is perfectly safe because the baby is in a state of a natural innocence.

So for me to be successful in my hiding under the straw, I need that natural innocence. I need to remain uncontaminated about what is going on, and give up completely any idea of controlling the situation. I need to stay in a natural state or I could get hurt.

To say it another way, “I must support what is invisibly visible, because if it is made visible, it won’t happen.” This is a level of awareness that I’m generally not that familiar with. On this level, energy relates to itself directly as a vibration within Creation. It doesn’t have the denser outer awareness, because that would disrupt the process. I just need to lie there and trust in Creation.

When I woke up with this dream I wrote, “To properly work with the inner awareness, it’s necessary to not compromise life by dwelling upon what one sees.” In other words, people who walk around in their unawareness are almost better off, because if you have some awareness and think you can actually affect things, you can upset the natural balance and create more damage.

So, the key is to keep one’s actions innocent. For our actions to be innocent, the personal connections – and personal interest – must be set aside. When there is no ripple effect that is visible, in terms of the overall, then there is no disturbing the naturalness.
