Posts Tagged ‘two states inner and outer’

In these two dreams, John begins by seeking a deeper communication, through the image of a personal cell phone. It is the search for greater meaning in life. The second image, where the main characters are a pen and pieces of paper, signals a readiness to be in service – an essential step on the spiritual path. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

John: The dream kind of has two parts actually, as if two separate dreams. And in the first dream, you and I have a cellular telephone. It works, it’ll get the job done, but it’s not our cellular telephone and it would be best if we had our own cellular telephone as opposed to this other cellular telephone that is somehow or another loaned out to us.

And so I’m sitting, evaluating the vibration of what it would feel like for us to have our own cellular telephone, with a greater sense of freedom, than us having to take and utilize this borrowed cellular telephone, which does get by, but leaves something to be desired.

It’s almost as if we flush something out, in terms of the meaning, more succinctly, with a knowingness it’ll be a lot easier, but if we’re still operating under biased conditions in terms of how things are about us, although that is revealing in its own way, it’s not as succinct as it could be.

In the next dream, which is the really loud dream that I had, it’s like I’m a pen, and I have a partner who is also a pen, and we’re stealing something from someplace, and I’ve retrieved whatever it is that I want to retrieve. I’m done with whatever it is that I’m trying to do. So I jump into a ream of paper and hide behind a couple sheets of paper, and of course this ream of paper is all packaged like 500 sheets, and this pen is sitting there hiding. And I’m yelling at my cohort, “Let’s go. Let’s get out of here.”

He replies back that he’s pausing to grab one last thing that is needed. Well, I say to him, “You know, that’s a good idea,” whatever it is that he was reaching to get because it was something that I had forgotten, or hadn’t realized that one needed that. But then all of a sudden, out of the place comes the owner or whatever, and he’s loaded for bear. He’s got a gun.

I go, “Oh no, we’re about to be turned into carbon dust. We’re going to bite the big one. We’re going to get riddled with bullets.” It’s like a cartoon character just carrying away like that. Then all of a sudden, and it’s as if we were going to hide somewhere near a pool of water, when all of a sudden we’re bailed out at the last possible moment, expecting the bullets to rain down on us, when this flash flood hits and we are swept out in the street.

And my partner reacts like, “Oh this is not good!” And my comment is, “I’m not sure this is so bad, because we’d just get riddled with bullets. And I see us being swept down the street just missing parked vehicles and whatnot by this flash flood. And finally the whole thing subsides.

And when it subsides of course, because we’re in this special packaging, there we are eventually coming to a halt from the flood waters. I don’t actually see the flood waters come completely to a halt, but they’re subsiding and you know that shortly they will. And there we’ll be, two reams of paper, each with its own special wrapping that protects it. There I am, as a pen, hiding under a couple sheets, and there he is, as a pen, hiding underneath a couple of sheets.

What does something like this mean? Well, it all has to do with catching up with something that’s meaningful, and is intended, and like in the first dream there was the attempt to vibrationally feel that through a listening center with cellular phones, and whatnot, that to begin with are not taken on as one needs to take them on. They’re like borrowed or something, and although that can work – if your listening center is proper enough, you can still make something out of it.

It’s better to catch up with how you are really meant to be, and in this dream, you’re continuing the theme in which there is a lot of symbolism between a pen and blank sheet of paper. A blank sheet of paper is said to be something that has gotten itself into a condition to where something can be written upon it, and that which can be written can then be effectuated, in terms of Ibn Arabi’s Governance of Man or whatever it’s called [Divine Governance of the Human Kingdom].

The pen has a unique significance, and paper, and the scribe, and all of those things just like we are a city in and of ourselves. And so, before one is thrown into the river of life, one shocks themselves by taking on a little bit much, and in this little bit much, in the shock effect of the river of life, you tend to forget.

You go from one state that is overwhelming, to another state that may be out of danger of what was about to get you on the inner, and another state that’s amnesic in the outer – but how are you going to catch up with it?

And the whole issue is going to be, when the flood waters of the sojourn into life more or less end, and as you’re then able to check out your well being, and you feel yourself what this means as a pen with a ream of blank paper safeguarded from the outer conditions by a special packaging, what that’s all about remains to be seen.

In other words, it’s not known but that’s more or less the conditions that you find yourself in. And I suppose a scenario that might have triggered a dream like that, is that first you go into the state of Nirvana, or into the all pervasive ocean of whatever it is that’s everything, and because this is a path of service and you come out of that – you don’t have to come out of it, but you do come out of it – and sojourn back into life for the service of mankind – and so I thought that was interesting.

I have never heard it presented quite like that or at least I hadn’t heard it completed as a statement in terms of, one makes the journey and then comes back into life because that’s the nature of this path. It’s almost like that caused an inflection inside of me, and I think it had something to do with the way this dream is triggered, and I think that the pen and paper have something to do with the assignment of it all, even though there’s such an amnesia and bewilderment that exists when you go from that state, back to this state, not knowing quite what it is that has to be recognized, or realized, or awakened.

In today’s dream, Jeane appears to others, i.e., the view from the outer, as a kidnapper. But in understanding that she is all the characters in her dream, we can interpret her twirling as a process of deepening her connection to an inner essence. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

Jeane: I dreamed a lot last night, and it felt like one long, continuous dream that kept shifting. I mostly remember segments of it. It started out like I was male and I was like some kind of a robber who kind of went into a building and went upstairs and took charge.

The main thing I took charge of was this woman who was twirling. Well, everybody thinks I capture her and I’m taking her hostage or something. What I do is when I go up and I twirl with her, I diminish the arc of her twirling some, and absorb it, so that maybe my arc of twirling becomes larger and hers becomes smaller, and then take her away from there.

Everybody thinks like I’m kidnapping her. What they don’t realize actually is that her arc aura is actually larger than mine, and she’s actually my sister, and maybe she’s actually even the head robber, so I want to make her look less visible. I do that by kind of absorbing this a bit. And then everybody thinks I’ve kidnapped her, or I’m in charge or something, so this hides her.

John: What you’re doing is you’re discovering how to take and look at the inner essence of something, and take it in. In taking in this inner essence – that which is captured as a type of twirling, that has to do with an arc aura or something that exudes out – this is something that takes and permeates out into everything.

In fact, it’s at the epicenter of all that exists. And so when you become trained to be able to take this sort of thing in, this is different than how everything is seen in the outer. Whenever you’re taking something in, absorbing something into your being, if it were an outer reflection of something, or an outer trait or quality, not taking in would actually be affecting that image.

In other words, you would be diminishing that image. So that is how everyone tends to see this because they’re accustomed to relating to the activity having an outer consequence. So if you are taking from the outer activity, you are diminishing that.

Well, the meaning of the dream is to show you that when you relate to things in an outer capacity way, you’re diminishing yourself, and when you relate to something in an inner way you’re enhancing who you are.

However, in the eyes of others who observe what is going on, because they only see this as something that occurs by appropriation in an outer context way, they have to see this and recognize this in terms of how that is as a pattern of outer seeking inner, which you never reach, because they see that as something that diminishes. So, because they can only see it in that way, they see you as diminishing. They see what they think is you in terms of what you’re doing as something that is in keeping with how they see this working in life, and that is that you’re diminishing the energetic

But because you’re drawing from the inner essence of it, and that inner essence is permeated and is located in everything and lies behind the reflections, to take that sort of thing on is only enhancing and bringing out even more so, that inner essence, which is an essence that in its truest nature comes across – to a person who can only see in an outer way – it comes across as something that they can’t see in its hiddenness.

What you’re kind of actually doing is, is you kind of know that you have to find the inner essence of something and take that on. But you’re not quite there yet, and so what you’re taking on is some reflection and some inner essence. The fact that you are taking some reflection on, those who are looking and observing can see that something is being diminished, but what you’re doing is you’re actually enhancing your own growth because this is part of the process where you absorb the reflections as you access the essence.

And as a consequence you get to the point where the essence becomes so hidden and attenuated as a value, that on a subtle level that is what you’re coming in direct contact with.

And this is exactly how dreams work. To begin with, dreams can appear to the person at the very beginning as something that has to do with ordinary events that are happening outside of themselves, and so they try to look at it in a trite context.

And then dreams start to reveal, as you recognize that everything in a dream is you, you come to recognize that the dream is depicting shadow dynamics and such by which you’re consumed. And so you come to see those shadow dynamics and then try to figure out how to let go of those in relationship to your higher self.

When you access your higher self you start to come to grips with a natural knowingness that exists there and you try to flow with that. And then ultimately you get to a point where you live, or resonate, that essence and know that everything around you is reflective from that essence.

And so you are not affected by the reflections, which means in a sense you kind of accept or absorb them, as an aspect of taking in the essence more deeply. Finally the essence gets to a point where, if you were talking in terms of dreams, where it is so subtle that most people who dream aren’t able to have such dreams.

And even if they have advanced themselves to the point where they should be having those kinds of dreams, the subtleness of those dreams makes it very, very difficult for them to access, reach, and pull out. And thus what has happened is that they have gotten to the point where there is the secret of secrets in terms of a hiddenness, that’s in the essence, that they can’t quite access.

And what is holding them back is the degree to which they are still affected by the outer, as if the outer still has some sort of sway in an outer capacity instead of in an inner essence mannerism that takes and is behind all that there is.

Jeane: In my dreams last night, the impression I have is that I am trying to find something that will complete something else, and it is a struggle.

At one point I have a ticket, or something rectangular – it could even be money. Then I have something circular, and I’m looking for the piece that completes it.

Somebody is constructing something. I’m annoyed with them. Part of my struggle has to do with shapes, and trying to complete the building of something.

There’s a young masculine energy that might be getting in the way, and that’s why I’m annoyed, but I can’t pull out the details. I was working pretty hard at it.

John: The compelling energetic of the dreaming last night focused on trying to cause something to come into cohesion, or balance.

What you are doing is looking at some limiting barrier, inside, and trying to bring that into alignment. This type of dynamic gets triggered when a person goes through sadness or hurt, or experiences an aching heart, compared with a happier feeling of soaring.

In other words, it’s the feeling of great relief or of a breakthrough. It’s reaching a state of peace, happiness, or joy, when earlier the feeling may have been a quality of sadness, or an aching heart. Between these two states there is the search for the missing pieces, which could manifest as to trying to find something, or to break through a barrier or veil, or to bridge a gap that lies in the way.

If you don’t experience the aching heart (to find the missing piece), or if you don’t have the contrast with something exhilarating and joyful, then you don’t have both polarities to work with. One polarity is an up energy and the other polarity is a down energy (the aching heart). If you don’t go in both directions, or take into account both degrees, then you won’t have a dream like you had last night where you are trying to resolve the difference, so that the two aspects can come together.

This is how veils, or barriers, are transcended in life. The depth and the height are brought together, and the inner and the outer are brought together. By reaching an inner depth, one can then reach the height.

It can almost get to the point where it’s hard to tell which is which. This is the process whereby life is nurtured. To learn to live in this zone – to be able to recognize inside oneself the wisdom of those two polarities – and to live in a zone that pulls them together into wholeness… that’s a human being who connects to everything in life.

That’s what it is all about. That’s what is required. It can only happen through the human – we are designed to process in this way. So this is exactly how we’re meant to live in the human body, rather than spending our time figuring out how to either project or protect our own self-identity.

It’s a state of freedom, really, where we can flow freely. After a certain point of maturity, we can stop letting ourselves get smashed in the depths – the aching heart, or despair, anger, or sadness – of whatever our predilection is, which is just a symptom of us being in a contracted state and shut down.

It’s good if we don’t have to do that. But if we do, then we tend also to the opposite extreme, which isn’t a whole lot different, because that sets us up for a fall. When we soar to these unbelievable heights in terms of a sense of wonderfulness, without the other state pulled together and brought into the in-between, then there’s an imbalance in either direction. Either polarity is a flipside of the same coin.

It’s not a whole lot different when everything is working out wonderfully and you’re riding the wave of that, compared to when everything is all compressed and you’re shut down and in contraction. Technically speaking, those two states are simply thresholds of extremes that are flip sides of each other – the polarities of existence.

The veils all fall away when you bring yourself to face a challenge or overcome what lies in between. When you feel how to do that – and the feeling of how to do that is the actual carrying forth of that energetic – you can penetrate the veils and come that much closer to the truth of things.
