Everything a Struggle

Have you ever noticed how dense some people can be? Try as you might, you just can’t seem to get through to them. Well, we are all the characters in our dreams, so when we are shown such a frustrating situation where no one is paying attention, and they’re all distracted by frivolous things, we are getting a glimpse of how “thick” we can be to our own self. We may be gaining consciousness, and awakening on many levels, but there are still parts of us that are as dumb as rocks – and our systems are trying to help us with them. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

Jeane: Well, in my dream just everything seems to be discombobulated and disoriented. And it starts out with somebody had come to visit me, maybe two people. And the woman is maybe kind of mentally deficient. And the man is a little different.

And so everybody just assumes for some reason that he’s molested the woman, and has locked him away or something. And I don’t believe this, but you can’t get through to these people around me. They just assume things and they’re not very conscious.

Then it’s like people are preparing for a party in this city, and there’s a woman there that’s come to visit. And she’s having a little trouble with adjusting to the city, but everybody is so focused on getting ready for this event that they’re not helping her. In fact, they even seem to tell her she can’t participate with them at one thing, I guess, because they just don’t see that she’s in distress, or they’re not helping her to adjust.

She kind of wanders out into the city in a bit of a daze, and she goes up to the roof. And for some reason she ends up on the outside of the building, just kind of clinging like maybe she’s gonna fall all these stories.

Then people come to the rooftop to celebrate the party, and she’s kind of clinging to the building there and needs help getting back in, and they’re just kind of talking and looking over her head and it feels like I or somebody else have to holler at them to finally get them to haul her in so she doesn’t fall off the building – because they’re just so unconscious.

It feels like at the same time, I finally can bring to somebody’s attention that whatever they’ve accused the other man of he couldn’t have done, but it’s just that because he’s different, and the girl was disoriented, nobody wanted to bother to understand. It’s so frustrating, because people are just talking, and not with it, and not thinking about what anybody else needs and it goes over their head. It’s just totally frustrating to deal with.

John: So, what the dream is portraying is that you are in an energetic weight; you’re carrying an energetic weight that is pulling your psyche down. And, when something becomes too much, so that it pulls your psyche down, it causes all around you – your aura way of dealing with things – to shrink, and that everything becomes an obstacle, or is difficult.

And so all around you, you keep seeing that things are just harsh, hard and difficult, heavy in their nature. This is how contending with things, for a basic human being, starts; they have to struggle with everything.

There is a struggling, there is a type of struggling that exists that is more towards the point where you kind of are meant to know better, but haven’t quite reached the knowing-better stage. In more of a heaviness, frustration, is where you seem to be stuck or lost in. This is a point where, if you surrender, there is a way to be shown and to be told. But, until you do, this kind of weight is what gives you headaches and everything else, because you’re not taking and finding the flow, or the means, or the mannerism in which to properly release what is pent up.

So your dream is about a condition that is harbored or pent up in your psyche that has to come out of its repressed nature so that your psyche can flow instead of it being pent up. When something is as heavy as that is and one’s life is filled with the sensation of a heaviness, it’s an energetic that has a thickness that, as you reverb around trying to figure out how to get out of the spell, you become just nauseous from it, and can develop a headache even.

So your dream is kind of explaining that there is something about whatever it is that you’re supposed to be able to not push aside, but to confront, because when you push something aside you weaken yourself. But when you confront it, and you cut through it, or cut it down to size, make a step through it, you’re redeeming yourself. You’re healing. You’re catching up with your own sense of who you are and your own power.

So this is a dream that’s kind of ratting you out, in a way. But it is a dream that doesn’t take you to the next step. You just stay in this state. You’re still contending with things in a very dense way, kind of thing, where everything is a struggle.

In Order to Transform

Certain behaviors and mannerisms can be so dominant in us that they can prevent us from making changes we very much seek and want. In this dream, we see the dreamer in the basement hiding away, while a disagreement goes on in another part of himself. Meanwhile, there is a garden that could be great with a little attention and care. This is the way of our interior lives, and, to find greater connection, we need to make all of these aspects aligned to the same purpose and oneness. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

John: And so the thing is, if something is born to be, it’s already designed, it’s already shaped, we just somehow or another have to fall into it, which is what this last thing points out.

When something comes to be, in what seems to be an unplanned for and unexpected manner, I discover, to my surprise, that I can dig into my pockets and find, nearly forgotten, a ticket. And so then comes the mishmash. In my dream, I go down into the basement of a house; I’m feeling the need to avoid people.

Out on the porch of the house, a father is having it out with his wayward daughter; I can hear this from the basement. I’m careful and quiet down there, but I can hear everything going on out there because I do not want to be seen, or my presence felt.

And, in this basement, I have found an old bucket that I plan on taking upstairs. And out in the yard is a garden that needs better attending. It’s all dried out, it’s dug down, it has weeds growing. It does have some things planted, but it needs attention. So what I’m planning on doing is transplanting things to the garden that I seem to have somewhere else, and seeing to it that is better tended. And this garden comes right up to the foundation of the house.

Meanwhile, though, I hear every word of the father, and he’s railing at the daughter about he has done this and that and the other for her and she’s throwing all of that away; she’s making her life a wreck. And I can tell she needs to find her own way, but this isn’t going to be easy, the way he is tearing her down with his misaligned ideas about how it has to be this way or that way. And my hope is that she can reach inside and access what is needed to overcome such a demoralizing spell.

The meaning is, the dream indicates that what is going on is in flux. The image and mishmash – flux and mismash – and the image is that transformation or transitioning, but how? How do you have “out with the old, and in with something anew”? Only by letting go, together with a type of self-forgiveness is it possible for change to even have a chance to occur.

And the change that is meant to come through, in order to transform, has to go through an access or healing. The challenge is to let go and be free of a prevailing stigma. But the prevailing stigma gets projected every time you try to fight your way out of the status quo. So if this prevailing stigma is not transcendent, nothing can be designed anew. Anyway, nothing that can be designed anew that is able to evolve meaningfully.

Instead, any stigma conceptions will poison and shatter a shift from manifesting to a meaningfulness. The potentiality you can feel and recognize, that’s important, is still kind of so to speak in the bones, but won’t quite come into a full clarity. It’s almost as if they just can’t quite get out of their dormant state.

What is needed will fall flat, or, even if there is a shift, the potentiality on the horizon cannot complete to a fulfillment that is meaningful enough to actually change the story. So that’s the dilemma, and everything is set against this happening.

Decisions, Decisions

In this imagery we have two damsels awaiting their fate: which one will be chosen by the king, and which one will be put to death? Decisions can seem this dire at times: on one hand there is the fairy tale ending, and on the other hand there is a death worse than fate. Yet when we remember that we are all the characters in our dreams, we can begin to understand that these two aspects have their own view of what is unfolding – one is free and one is fearful – and that a resolution between them must be reached for us to proceed smoothly. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

Jeane: My dreams last night were hard for me to pull out. They seem to be taking place in another time and space, almost alien.

The first dream I remembered was in a large building, almost medieval-looking, and it felt like there were two women, in two separate rooms, and these rooms would have a large bed. And there was a man who at some point was going to choose between the two of them. And then you felt like the one that he chose, that she would become his consort for ruling a place, or at least he was going to be in charge of the place – and probably the other one would be killed.

But the thing with these rooms and even the beds is that they were just strange, like they might move almost like they had magical properties. Or, like I said, it was very alien. What I noticed was that one woman obviously felt captive and wanted to get away from this area, and not really have the man win her; she was almost thinking about having to sabotage any battle he had to fight.

And the other woman, to her surprise, actually likes the man and maybe wants him to win. And then that woman, I think, suddenly notices that this room that she’s in, that she never seems to leave, suddenly has rain coming down through the ceiling, like there’s a leak, and that causes her to go out. And then you’re looking at what else this place looks like and wondering if this battle that’s going to happen now, if the battle has started, or if it’s going to be precipitated by this strange thing that’s happening with the rain coming into the room, or water leaking from upstairs? How do you know exactly what’s going on?

And I feel like as I go up and wander, and look, I come to an outdoor area where some people are making some unusual foods and almost like packaging them to put on a boat or a ship somewhere, like they’ve just invented all these foods. But the foods look alien and strange, like nothing I’ve ever seen, all different kinds of dishes. And I feel like they’re going to take them somewhere else, but I’m not even sure they’re not made up of humans or something – so I don’t want to go near them.

And then the scene just shifts and I seem to be looking, again, at some people assembling things. And they look like women and men that are American service people – but you feel like they’re on another planet. And I’m wondering if they’re even going to marry some of the people here, because I have this feeling they’re never really going to get home again.

John: So the whole thing that you’re presenting is kind of scatterblasted. The thing is, it’s almost as if there is confusion that predominates in terms of what needs to unfold. And that, as a consequence, it’s as if decisions haven’t yet been quite figured out, and/or are going back and forth in a chaotic way.

The idea that there is a sense of balance about things that can go askew, there’s something that can happen when things aren’t properly decided, or understood, or in sync in terms of a flow. And it’s as if what is going on is even too much of a flow, and thus it has this scatterblasting effect. It’s as if one has to sort out what one is able to take in.

It’s almost as if on an inner plane there is a sort of disclarity in terms of how it is, and what it is, that you tie into. And that you’re recognizing that it’s a bit of a mess. And thus the images of what is taking place flip-flop about without any clear-cut cohesion. And the changes can leave something askew, or actually even disturb, from moment to moment, what is unfolding.

And so, how does one possibly ground or function in terms of bringing that through, in a container way, when it is all flip-flopped like that in terms of the transmission? That seems to be the conundrum that you’re wrestling with.
