inner-connections2In these images, John is shown that there is nothing separate from us in the universe. In the outer life, we often believe that everything is separate, yet that is only a result of how we look at things. When we can hold the connection of being in a oneness, nothing is unknown to our higher self. This requires the subtle letting go of everything that prevents us from such a deep connection. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

John: So in the dream, I am of the opinion that in creation that the variables I have to choose from exist as a part of me. There is no way for there to be anything that is separate.

If I’m an aspect of all there is, there is nowhere to go. In the dream there is a noncombatant observer observing all of this as if helping me to sort this out. The issue is, is it possible for there to be a way of being that is not part of what is going on inside me?

I just cannot understand what is the matter with me when I am in a situation and somehow forget this fact. In the dream, this occurs because I want to believe a soft-spoken demeanor is having or portraying some insight that is important, that I need to take in, as if it’s separate from me. As if I need to catch up with it.

But suddenly I realize that I’m not properly holding my mannerism, or I’m getting kind of confused. Because when the voice gets louder, speaks up, or when the voice kind of changes its demeanor in terms of its loudness and some quality varies just a bit, I’m able to realize that I had fallen for a style over substance.

Somehow the observer, who is new to the scenario, is able to help me remember what I know by simply maintaining or holding the space and not buying into the issue. This is kind of a hard dream to write up because the image that I had to work with was just an image in which, I guess, I just felt there was really nothing new under the sun. It was just a matter of being able to see it for how it was, because everything is connected.

We should all know what is proper, and what is right, and what is not. In that sense we have something in common. And so I seem to carry this higher-self kind of understanding in the dream, but what happens is I waver from that when some person who speaks with a certain degree of presence in a little voice and whatnot actually draws out my attention, so I’m inclined to put them on a pedestal, or give them a degree of credit that isn’t quite right.

In other words, I’m making something into being unique or more, when all of it is same/same – if you just know how to see it. And so when this person then suddenly, in a different atmosphere or just at a different moment in time, suddenly speeds up, or starts talking in a way that is more easily identifiable by me, in terms of what this is all about, that’s when I realize that this isn’t something new at all, and that I had gone on a tangent thinking that there is an aspect of something that I need to be aware of that I’m not already directly conscious of, based upon the fact that it is part of me.

This is an awkward meditation dream.

Well a couple of issues in this dream were pointed out to me that indicate that you have to drop the mental demeanor in order to experience anew. For example, if something is too settled in its mannerism, it is better to go out the door and then come back in. That was an image. You go out the door, start all over again.

This allows for a change of focus so a greater receptiveness can occur, in other words appreciation or whatever you call it, it is an aspect of the heart, but anyway whatever the sight is, or the conceptualization, you get it to drop its hold, or definition by the mind, and so then it can have a flow again.

And then initially I forgot the second image. I laid back and fell back asleep and it came in again.

The second image stems from the fact that the mind acts as a protective layer, which is trying to make things flow better. That’s the story that the mind tells you. So the image is that of a planer that accesses across another layer of protection.

In other words, it’s like this, you have this device in which something flows back and forth, travels like a tread, and in this particular case, in order to mitigate the wear and tear so that it functions in a less vulnerable capacity, there’s an extra board that’s put in there. Most of them don’t come with it, but this particular device does. I call it a planer.

This extra board runs all the way across the surface of this thing that goes back and forth and back and forth. Most of them don’t come with it, and it runs fairly flush. So that means that they’re more vulnerable, those that don’t come with it, in terms of breaking down, or having issues that you have to contend with.

This is something that you can settle back and, as a process, you can assume that this approach is going to be sufficient. And that’s an issue that’s true if you’re only looking at this from the aspect of manifestation, and the way things are done in manifestation.

But because there is something more subtle going on inside a person, a person has to be open to hearing and dealing with things that come in – and that can throw the heart around. That can be uncomfortable. And to do that you have to let down your protective guard, a little. You have to be more exposed.

And only when you do that, do you create the catalytic conditions whereby you can properly see what lies within.

chakras12Here John continues the discussion of Jeane’s dream (see A Greater Openness), wherein she is weighing her sense of wanting to hold onto the “treasures” she has found, while at the same time she is finding that she can let go in a way that offers these treasures to the Wholeness of life. It speaks of the natural role of the human as a processor of higher energies into manifestation, which is an higher octave of service to creation. (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

John: If anything, this makes you so different that maybe they will have to try to affect it, or take it away, and so you come to the conclusion that you can’t go around carrying this attitude. You somehow or another realize that there’s an even greater openness that’s possible that integrates all of these parts of you – if you open up, and if you figure out how to share it.

You’re still going to hold onto certain things that you personalize, that you still feel that you have to go off to one side and be with because they’re necessary and essential to what you still feel is your well being, but there are other things that you can open the atmosphere with, there are things that you’ve developed through your aloneness with yourself, through your ability to hold a focus and attention, which in order to actually keep them from choking you, and to keep them from creating a problem for you, which you recognize would exist if you tried to just hunker down around those – all in terms of yourself.

Because you’re part of this greater Whole, maybe you don’t quite admit that, and recognize that, in this dream yet, but you do seem to recognize that there is something about a way of conducting, or carrying, or feeling a greater orientation towards everything, if you figure out how to communicate and share some of this with them.

So the dream is kind of saying that you can’t be adopting a black-and-white attitude about anything, as if this creates some sort of means-to-an-end aspect of your unfoldment and development. That when you come to know something, and when you come to understand something, and when you come to have something – that you have to be able to let it go.

You have to be able to share it. You have to be able to make it available to all parts of yourself. You don’t take and think that you have something that is somehow or another uniquely yours, or uniquely something that you protect, or maintain, and covet as a type of treasure, in relationship to the overall picture or the bigger equation of life.

You can’t do that. What you have, the traits and the mannerisms and the qualities that you have, you have to figure out how they exude out from you to others. The illusion that we have, or that lie that we tell ourselves, is that when something like this happens, then we lose it. And you still kind of believe that to some degree, because you’re hiding some treasures yet.

But you seem to be discovering the greater truth, that to actually have something, to actually own something, to actually truly have an overall relatability that penetrates through things, you have to share and be out in the open, in terms of how it is you are in the bigger equation of things.

So it’s a dream that has you yo-yoing, octaving, between the difference of holding on to a trait, or aspect, of yourself, which is segregated and, therefore, in its segregated nature is able to sustain or maintain something.

That is something that you tend to believe is important, and yes it may be important up to a particular point, but then at some point you have to let it go, and you have to let it effuse out into everything around you in the environment.

And so you’re playing with this. You’re catching up with this. To what degree do you still need to catch up with things, and then to what degree do the things that you have caught up with are you able to then just release it outwardly, effuse it out into things?

It’s kind of like a process of the breath. If you think about it, it’s like the out-breath brings stuff down that you catch up with. The in-breath brings it back into the Whole where it’s kind of released.

And initially the out-breath is a type of catching up with something, which causes the contraction, but also causes you to develop an understanding and relatability that just the sheer shrinking can be very defining and limiting. But then in terms of freeing yourself up, in terms of getting outside of the burden of that, you then have to release it, or let it go back into the Whole, into the atmosphere.

First you’re bringing down, and then you’re letting go, you’re bringing down, and then you’re letting go. And so what you’re doing is, you’re describing what this is in the greater octave of things, is describing this linkage, this connection to where something comes in and then something is disseminated.

And the degree to which you’re bound up in creation, is the degree to which you still have to maintain what you consider treasures, which you have to keep off to one side, and quiet, and hold onto outside of the Whole.

And, of course, in your dream you start off thinking that there is a lot of that, and that if they know about that you could be somehow or another in a deprivation, or danger. And then you realize how you’re able to release that, and that leaves you feeling good. That leaves you feeling wonderful. That leaves you feeling complete.

Otherwise, you would feel somewhat constipated. You came to realize how this choked feeling was something that you contended with when you tried to go meet this part of you that had gotten off on this tangent, and that all kinds of things related in this level of a tangent, and in order to meet this part of you, you had to drop that, or otherwise things would stay on that tangent.

You’re playing with this way of catching up with things, and in many cases doing it by way of a lesser aspect of the process, where you’re just hunkering down and holding on to things. And then you’re realizing how the release of that can open something up, and free something up, and you’re catching up with that release – and what it feels like.

The underlying principle behind it is a type of total vulnerability, because the concept that a human being seems to have is that if they’re too much of an open book they get taken advantage of, they’re in danger, that people can plot against them, they can use what they know about them, against them.

And that a person who’s already defined then, in their definition, holds a power over someone who is too open, and that tends to be a general concept that exists. And you’re challenging that concept, realizing that there’s a way of being open and out front that leaves things free, and enables a greater integration, and wholeness, and workability in the Wholeness of things to occur.

Complicated dreaming, huh? A very expansive way of dreaming. Interesting theme.

fractal8In this series of dream segments, Jeane experiences what can be called a new schematic. What has changed is her ability to be more fluid with sudden changes in her environment. Being able to maintain a flow, no matter what comes up, is a fundamental aspect of experiencing the world of the Whole, rather than our much smaller world where personal involvement and old reactions cut us off from the overall.  (At the end of this post there are instructions and a link to download this recording to your computer.)

Jeane: My next dream I think it has two little segments in it. In the first I’ve gone back and I seem to be staying, or living, in an apartment complex I’ve lived in before, which has several room compartments to it.

But while I’m in the back part of the apartment unit, talking to whomever is there with me, I notice that the landlord is letting some people move in to a front part of my apartment. At first I go up and look and I can’t quite tell if maybe there’s just a room that opens up to another unit and that room is open, so I’m seeing it, you know, the door slides open, or is she actually moving people into the front part of my unit, without having talked to me about it?

So I can’t really quite tell what she’s done, but it seems to be done anyway. It’s kind of a wealthy couple. I don’t know them. I’m not quite sure how to relate to all of that.

It seems to be a done deal, however I feel about it.

John: So, the key to this dream is that you should try to relate to whatever that is that’s the couple or whatever who have moved in, is because it’s just like in my dream. What’s happening now is, the dynamics by which you blocked, or stopped, a certain thing from being able to happen, or changes and shifts to be able to occur, you’re no longer doing that because you don’t have the shadow dynamics and the peculiarities that get in the road and keep you going around and around.

And so the dynamics of what this young couple is all about is important for you to look at, because it’s now depicting an aspect of you in an overall way, which you’ve been able to catch up with as a consequence of not having those barriers, and those resistances, and defense mechanisms sitting in the way.

Because this is something that whenever there is something that is just suddenly there, like in your house, you have to look at it and recognize it as something more about you, just like you can have dreams in which you discover other rooms, and various sizes and shapes, and dimensions and peculiarities about the house.

Well, now it’s not a question of those kinds of dreams so much as it’s that you’re opening up to a greater beingness that you have to now accommodate about yourself, which may have been veiled from you – your ability to see it, and recognize it, and appreciate it before, but now that it’s there, you just need to embrace it for what it is, and how it is, because that’s you in a way that you had veiled before.

Jeane: I remember a little segment then where I try to go somewhere, and I’ve gone out and it seems to me like I’ve gotten on something that’s almost like a ship. I’m going for a picnic. I seem to have invited my ex along, and that means that one of the Basenjis is coming, too. At the same time, I’m trying to relate to him and keep a distance, you know, he should understand it’s just for the picnic or something, not really a relationship here.

It feels like I leave for a second, and I realize we’re on a ship, and I look over the ship’s side. It’s like maybe a storm has come up, and I see this, and I’m trying to balance like I was sitting almost like on what was a picnic table, and so I can feel like I can slide over the side any second.

So I’m looking over the side of the ship, and I see suddenly there’s like this huge, some type of mammal that’s been caught and brought up alongside the ship. It’s almost as long as the ship is, like a whale, except it’s flatter and broader. I mean, it’s something I’ve just never seen before.

It feels like when the ship stops, that I even can get down and walk on dry land, and go over and touch the animal, or some other huge animal showed up now, a turtle, and I can go over and actually put my hand on the lip of the turtle and get close to it as we walk by.

That’s just a little segment I remember before the next dream.

John: So, similar to the first dream that you just told, you’re again contending with something that is changed in terms of something inside of you. You only have the slightest inflection that it has to do with the Whole and the fact that the creature of things that has shown up, also looks like there’s something else there that could be a turtle, and turtles always depict the overallness of the world, the affairs of the whole of life.

And so you are having to accommodate and contend with that as part of your overall universe, which ordinarily, in prior dreams, would have been such that if something like this was introduced into your scope of attention, you would have grumbled, and complained, and been felt peculiar and weirded out.

And you would have had your reactions, and the reactions would have been what the dream would have been about, as opposed to now when you have the dream like this, there aren’t the reactions, and instead there’s the situation and then the situation is having to be accommodated and what that is about in terms of how you adapt and adjust to that in relationship to the greater aspect of it being in the Whole, of all that there is, is the schematic of how you’re coming to see your being, which is extremely close to this whole idea of being merged into a Wholeness.

Jeane: Then I just have a little segment where it’s like I’m staying at a resort of some kind, and I’m trying to go somewhere, and when I go up and go across a passageway, suddenly the passageway is filled with some kind of a meeting that’s going on – like a Lion’s Club meeting.

There are all these tables that just start right where the door is, and chairs on each side, so it’s almost like I practically fall down into a chair at the table, about two or three seats in. And then suddenly someone is serving me a plate of food, and I’m looking, I think there’s turkey and some rice and something else, and I’m kind of regretting that there are no mashed potatoes.

And then this woman across the table points out to me that there are also some mashed potatoes somewhere on the plate. It feels like I take a bite of something, but then I’m suddenly feeling like, I really don’t know if I’m supposed to be eating this meal. I don’t know if this is my meeting for sure. I feel like there’s someplace else I have to travel to.

So I get up and I start to move away, but then I suddenly realize, well should I have paid for the meal, or at least tipped someone? I’m confused, but the room is so crowded that to try to go back into it there’s no place to move. I’m just not sure what it is I’m supposed to do, and I’m not even that clear on where it is I’m going.

John: Yeah, it’s similar to the last dream that I told (see Forward Motion), where the first aspect in my dream was that there was the flight that I would normally take in which everything is all orchestrated and laid out and planned out to the point where you don’t have to contend with any peculiarities or variabilities, and so there’s a certain control that you have over the situation.

And therefore you find comfort in the fact that it’s going to unfold in a way that is predictable and therefore there’s that creature comfort that you now have. Now, that of course is thrown away, and I have no idea about the new schematics of how the second flight is going to be, so much change has been now introduced into the Wholeness of things, so much shifting has taken place, so that even the flight doesn’t necessarily leave on time, and that you have to be prepared for whatever the peculiarities might be that come up in a moment’s notice, because everything is subject to change.

It’s no longer as established as it used to be, and so you have to prepare for the total unexpected, and you have all of that going on in this dream. It’s distinct from how you would normally expect an overall dream to be, in that you now have to contend with this whole other set of schematics that’s taking place.

And that’s just the way that it is when you open up yourself to an overallness that has more subtle changes and variabilities that are taking place. You’re going to have all of these other schematics that are now part of your consciousness, which weren’t there, and weren’t even factored in, which you stayed separate and away from, you now have to absorb, or contend, or work with.

And if you can’t do that, then you’re going to suffer collateral damage. And what you’re doing is you’re noting that, somewhat affected and bothered by that, but not to the point where it keeps you from being able to be, and flow, and take on, and function.

The key is, is you’re noting the idiosyncrasies through the dream world. And then in the outer, whatever the idiosyncrasies are, they can seem much worse, and much more complex, and much more in the way, and all of that, but because the pace of the inner is going at some huge multiple more than the pace that you’re functioning and flowing with in the outer, you’re now at that point in the dream process where you make major strides just by being able to have that happen inside – and pull it through.
